Sierra Nevada Studying X-34 As Rocket Testbed

Sierra Nevada, one of the new aerospace companies competing for NASA’s commercial crew money, appears to be the frontrunner to use the two X-34 suborbital rockets recently taken out of storage.

    Probably not the same company as alcohol and rockets don’t mix well…

  • Although I do agree with the IPA comment, I have a question about the company Sierra Nevada (the one that is shooting rockets, not making beer). I saw on their website that they have been in the electronics field for over 40 years, but how long have they been shooting rockets? Where do they get their expertise in the space field?
