Today’s blacklisted American: Whites to be segregated at American University
The Civil Rights Act of 1964: Doesn’t exist at American University in DC.
“Segregation today, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever!” American University in Washington, D.C., has now instituted a policy segregating students by race in a course on racism, with the segregation specifically designed to give minorities a “safe space.”
According to The Eagle, the university added a Black affinity course section to AUx2, a class where students learn about “race, social identity, and structures of power.” In the course, students will “evaluate how racism intersects with other systems of oppression.”
The student newspaper states that all-Black sections of the course began during the spring 2020 semester, an addition that had been considered for a few years. “We’ve definitely heard from Black students and other students of color that the material can be a lot for them because it is part of their lived experiences,” Izzi Stern, the AUx program manager told the student newspaper. “And we wanted to create a space where they could be together in community and have an overall positive experience with the course.”
Putting aside the fact that such segregation is blatantly in violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, it is also counter-productive to these close-minded “students of color”. They are purposely limiting their view of the world, protecting themselves from hearing alternative perspectives. Isn’t that what diversity and inclusiveness is supposed to be about?
Not on your life. The leftist demand for diversity and inclusiveness is designed to favor certain minorities in order to garner power, to create “safe spaces” for themselves by instituting blacklisting and censorship, and to make sure their ideology is included in everything, to the exclusion of any other ideas.
It is very edifying to read the course description at the university website:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Examine race and racism as a socially constructed system, primarily in the context of Western European settler colonialism.
- Evaluate how racism intersects with other systems of oppression that create power, privilege, and inequality in relation to society or themselves.
- Examine liberation, resistance, or cultural celebration efforts led by historically marginalized people and communities that confront or disrupt systems of oppression, such as racism and white supremacy.
- Practice dialogue and self-reflection as examples of anti-racist principles.
This is a great and succinct description of Marxist critical race theory, an ideology aimed at fostering hate and anger against western civilization and whites. It is also garbage, as it has nothing to do with reality or actual history. Instead, it is merely a lot of “isms” and emotionally charged words that really mean nothing.
Probably the school wants to create segregated classrooms because it knows that white students are going to aggressively push back against such illiterate and racist propaganda. And of course, we can’t have that!
Note that though American University is supposedly a private Christian college, it obtains a lot of funding from government, including the funding for National Public Radio’s flagship affiliate, WAMU. If we had the brains to vote for better elected officials, we might finally be able to cut off funding from such bigoted and useless institutions. I keep wondering when that will really happen.
I also suspect that if some white student, denied access to one of these black segregated classes, sued they would win, and win big. In fact, if some intelligent black student protested because they opposed segregation and wanted to hear other points of view, they would probably win also.
It is time for this to happen.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

“Safe space” actually means “Can’t compete”.
One can only imagine how heads would explode if a “safe space” were created for a group of whites, so they wouldn’t have to deal with people of color. I believe that would be called “White Separatism”, if not “White Supremacy.” Good people need to be willing to stand up and proclaim that we’re all in this together and there’s no room for racist divisions like this.
Isn’t it strange?
Democrats tear down the statues of their former racist Slave Master leaders, even as they revive the racist policies of those Slave Master’s sons.

BRAINWASHING is SUPPOSED to be illegal – right?? These “racial equity” cries are nothing but a democrat tool to further divide Our Nation and EXCUSE any black American for their poor life choices because their skin just happens to be black, brown, or one of the other preferred colors! Dr. Martin Luther King’s “content of their character rather than the color of their skin” remark has been REVERSED by modern day racists! Dependence on democrat government handouts has destroyed a vast majority of black families and created generations of poor, illiterate black Americans. THEY should be livid – but given the crappy education systems they have failed “up” in, most don’t know the meaning of the word!
