Democrats today showed us their murderous colors
The left’s response to this murder
is to celebrate it
I had an essay planned for completion this afternoon on how to reform our education system, but that can wait until tomorrow. What matters today is the public assassination of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, a college-focused pro-American conservative organization that has done more in the past ten years to reshape American culture than any pundit or politician anywhere.
Why was Kirk murdered? The murderer is still at large but we can make a reasonable guess. Kirk, only 31, was an outspoken conservative who unequivocally believed in the fundamentals of American society, including freedom, small government, color-blind rules, and the right of every person to pursue happiness. This is not propaganda on my part. I have listened to many of Kirk’s speeches and appearances, and at no time did he do anything to contradict these conclusions. If anything, he made these beliefs crystal clear to anyone who would listen.
Because of those beliefs, he had become a major opponent of the Democratic Party and its now radical Marxist/leftist/queer agenda, which also now hates America and everything it has stood for since its founding almost 250 year ago.
As such, the left — including numerous mainstream elected Democrats and their minions in the propaganda press — have repeatedly slandered him — without any evidence — as a fascist, racist, Nazi, hate-monger, and bigot. Those ugly words — utter lies — made him a target for the crazies on the left, and now one of those crazies has snuffed out his life prematurely.
The left and its propaganda press will work hard to make excuses for this evil act, but as they do so they will simply prove my point above. Already anchors on MSNBC are slandering him again, calling him “divisive” and “awful” who said things that upset people and thus we shouldn’t be surprised he was killed. “It was HIS fault!” On social media leftists are celebrating this evil act, showing us how utterly evil they are.
Charlie Kirk
Kirk’s work will go on. In fact, expect it to expand considerably on campuses nationwide. The American people will no longer tolerate this evil. They are going to shut it down, aggressively, and with joyous fervor. And the left will once again scream “Facists!”, but the only fascists Americans will see are the murderous hate-mongering people on the left.
As for Kirk and his family, today’s events are horrible beyond words. We can only express the deepest sympathy to his wife Erika, who is now left a widow with two small children. She and those kids have been robbed of a husband and father, for no more reason that the words that Charlie Kirk spoke.
America stands for better. Kirk knew this, and spent every day of his short life trying to bring our country back to its original values of freedom and good will. It is our obligation to honor that man and those values and do whatever we can to make his dream a reality.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The print edition can be purchased at Amazon or from any other book seller. If you want an autographed copy the price is $60 for the hardback and $45 for the paperback, plus $8 shipping for each. Go here for purchasing details. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News
I am dumbfounded. Charlie was a special man with a drive and clarity to bring forward the good behind the American exceptionalism.
There is the obvious and often stated excesses of the opposition with their hyperbole, and further obvious and excess lack of accountability of the same. Our general media is flawed to the point of wicked. Outliving them like we did the communists of the Cold War era seems to be a forlorn challenge.
God be with us.
The MSM could simply have ignored this–their coverage will come back to bite them…. let’s see if somebody puts some money behind a foundation with his name.
Ironically his last appearance was about the other heinous murder where the victim
-wasn’t assaulting cops
-wasn’t stealing
-wasn’t on an overdose tear
But
*was* safer had she stayed home in Ukraine, even with Putin’s missiles in the air.
Every one of these blasted celebrities need to be brought back and forced to live in high crime areas their policies created.
Despite this one-two punch, I still haven’t seen flash mobs or looters.
Gee, I wonder why.
If “leftistlaywer” up there really is a lawyer, I sure hope she has to face the bar association in her state and explain why she should retain her license.
It’s amazing how many people on the left are saying “they said hateful nasty things, they deserved it!” without realizing how that could rebound on them if the right was willing to stoop down to their level.
I would recommend any and all donations go to Turning Point.
At least until someone official sets up an account for the family.
The family will be targets for theft too. Elon needs to bathe that family in money–their breadwinner paid a far higher price.
The celebrations on the Left come as no surprise.
It used to be that even if a public figure was loathed, it was considered very poor taste to wish for harm or death to come to him.
However, we have reached a point where a person maliciously and savagely murders an insurance executive, only to be praised by “journalists” and their guests, and by crazies on X and Tik-Tok who would prefer to say he’s handsome.
We can only pray for Kirk’s family, and for the possibility that this senseless violence will have a few of the more reasonable people in the Democrat Party realizing just how awful the Left has become.
I am old enough to remember exactly where I was when President Kennedy was assassinated. I was in Mrs Barlow’s 4th grade classroom.
I remember the first time I heard Rush Limbaugh. He had just started at KFBK in Sacramento. I was in the San Francisco Bay area, and the “50,000 watt blowtorch” radio station reached us driving up Hwy 880.
I remember the first time I heard of Charlie Kirk. In 2015 and 2016, candidate Donald Trump would mention and praise the incredible work “Charlie” was doing.
What Charlie has created will probably echo in eternity. Turning Point is aptly named. Turn away from the Left’s hatred.
Last April Charlie warned us about the violence of the Left:
“” Assassination culture is spreading on the left. Forty-eight percent of liberals say it would be at least somewhat justified to murder Elon Musk. Fifty-five percent said the same about Donald Trump.
In California, activists are naming ballot measures after Luigi Mangione.
The left is being whipped into a violent frenzy. Any setback, whether losing an election or losing a court case, justifies a maximally violent response.
This is the natural outgrowth of left-wing protest culture tolerating violence and mayhem for years on end. The cowardice of local prosecutors and school officials have turned the left into a ticking time bomb.””
I’m physically sick. Not just from the news of the assassination, but at the leftist celebrations of Kirk’s death. RIP Charlie Kirk. Prayers for his family.
Kirk was particularly worrisome to the left because he didn’t just make the rounds of the usual right leaning outlets.
Kirk was going into the heart of leftist’s strongholds, the universities.
Universities are where the left breeds new adherents and activists and Kirk was threatening to “infect” these embryonic Gretas/AOCs and Zohrans with kernels of truth.
When he was assassinated, Kirk was at the first stop of his latest tour:
“Featuring Charlie Kirk and special guests along the way, this on-campus offensive strike will hit over 25 campuses across the country . . . carrying a powerful message of truth, patriotism, and freedom back to major schools and into the lives of hundreds of thousands of young students. “
It’s been a hard week with Iryna and now Charlie.
I have no words for the reprehensible and despicable reaction to violence from far too many of those people. It is not too much to acknowledge they are evil and demonic.
It’s a great loss to his family, I am so sorry for his widow and children. It’s also a loss to the college kids who were exposed to a different and truthful point of view.
For me, this is reminiscent of the assassination of Dr. King … right down to the target being a strong advocate for judging people not by the color of their skin, but the content of their character.
While his opponents treat people as children and pets, absolved of responsibility beyond mere submission to the ruling elite, Charlie Kirk treated people as adults, respecting their liberty while expecting responsibility on their part. That is why they viewed him as “divisive” and “hateful” in their self-righteous myopic minds, projecting upon their children and pets their own learned helplessness that puts credentials and outside authority over common sense and personal responsibility.
Charlie Kirk respected the only sustainable social contract we have … his opponents run roughshod over it.
It is the return to respect for that contract, that is THE way out of this destructive conflict.

Investigations should begin with former members of the Secret Service and the FBI.
It is likely the assassin was himself older than Kirk–maybe double his age.
The killer is (probably) not a student but is perhaps a former professor with great knowledge of the locale.
The Unabomber is proof that preppers and survivalists aren’t the only individuals who live like hermits outdoors. The murderer might have access to an old bolt-action heirloom periodically used at best. The wooden stock replaced.
The killer was patient–not a hothead. Likely no social media presence.
There was one shot–all that is needed for a relatively stationary target that doesn’t move around as much as The Donald.
Now, we hear that a “person of interest” (i.e. suspect) was detained then released. Likely an anti-Kirk protestor.
There is a chance-however small –that the assassin and the student were known to one another. Here is an example of a potential (one way) discussion which came before today’s crime:
“You are my get away. I don’t mean a driver. After you hear the shot-cause a scene. I’ve been moving handfuls of rolled up maps all day, an old telescope.”
“My rifle is in none of those.”
“You see that old CRT atop the metal dolly with the huge videotape machine underneath–resting on the lower tray? That’s where my rifle is–standing up through a hole above and below.”
“If Security checks anything, it will be my maps, my scope–I even have a violin case, which I will act nervous around when they search–if they search.”
“I will leave with the other thousand humanoids after your stunt–but we can no longer speak together–ever.”
“I will have the spent cartridge mailed to you before I go to hospital.”
“If you are feeling brave, implicate yourself as we discussed–my deathbed confession will exonerate you as a martyr and you can sue the conservative press.”
“Otherwise, wait awhile and mail it to our media friends as a keepsake.”
My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected.
Don’t judge all Democrats by the postings of a few people. It’s not clear why the assassin shot Charlie Kirk, but you’re speculating anyway. Might be right, but it’s the sort of rush to judgment that you condemn media for doing.
Democratic leaders are condemning this shooting in very strong terms. Why? Because there’s been a cycle of political violence against Republicans and Democrats that is very worrisome.
Violent January 6 attack on the Capitol by Trump’s MAGA supporters
Two attempts on Trump’s life
Two Democratic lawmakers killed in Minnesota with the wife of one of them wounded in June.
The burning of the Pennsylvania governor’s mansion in April — Democratic governor
And now Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
We may have entered a period of political violence not seen since the 1960’s. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen.
D. Messier: I will let what Kurt Schlichter wrote today answer you:
Note that of the two examples of Democrats getting attacked that you cite, both were not done by conservatives, but by leftists. In Minnesota the killer had close ties with the Democratic Party. In Pennsylvania the arsonist attacked Shapiro because he was Jewish and had expressed support for Israel. Though some reports claim the arsonist supported Trump, there is little reliable evidence to confirm that. It seems implausible considering his actions.
My toleration for the hate-mongering of the left has reached its end. It has raised the temperature to a boiling point — resulting in these hateful acts. It must stop.
And I know I am not alone in this.
D Messier… Despicable. Mindless. Devoid of reason. Part of the problem.
From the U.S. House of Representatives
Ronny Jackson @RonnyJacksonTX
This was one of the most disgusting and evil things that I’ve ever seen. Just before we learned Charlie had passed, we tried to lead a prayer on the House floor – praying for his recovery after he was tragically shot. The Democrats started booing and yelling at us. It was absolutely disgusting. Their rhetoric caused this, and their actions today show they have no remorse!!!

There was talk of a man on the roof dressed in black, they have security video but it’s Poor quality. They have a tip line asking for anyone to come forward that witnessed or videoed the occurrence or the audience.
While clicking on random videos, the opening scene of this TV station News cast shows a “man in black” up on the roof when you blow it up. They probably don’t realize what they have.

My daughter finished her nursing degree at this college, I do not know if there were medical facilities nearby on campus. He was loaded into a police cruiser and rushed away. (accusations of no one gave emergency treatment are not true, everyone was in shock at the moment and if anyone rush forward to apply pressure would’ve been seen as a hostile actor)
Former congressman and current Fox News employee Jason Schaeffers was there, he says 80% of the audience were college students.
It was a memorial march to the capital tonight, led by the governor, no violence reported.
Tanner Maxwell was one of the citizens who captured footage–he filmed someone running.
I am now hearing that there were two individuals on rooftops.
No lone nut
Thanks Patrick:
Articulate. Pithy. Too the point.
Kind of short on actual rebuttal to any of my points. You could have at least thrown in something from that Schlicter guy or some other far right commentator. But, whatever.
And again, I offer my thoughts and prayers. That’s the standard response from the right after a mass shooting. I’m rather shocked — shocked — that during this time of mourning that people are politicizing this tragedy when there’s no information about the shooter or the motives. Republicans always decry the politicization when a school, church or Wal-Mart is shot up. Of course, by this point, I don’t expect consistency.
D. Messier: “far right.” There you go again, using slander words again. So typical of lefties. And you are incapable of seeing it.
As for your “thoughts and prayers,” I agree with Schlicter. I think they are hollow and lies. I think deep down you are glad Kirk was killed.
After watching the left my whole life, it would be very difficult for you to convince me otherwise.
@Bob quote….. “”far right.” There you go again, using slander words again. So typical of lefties.”
To be fair you have been using similar “slander words” against the “far left” , and even the “moderate left” , for as long as I have been following this blog.
Your nation has my sympathy today. One of the pillars of democracy is the right to free speech, and every one of these evil crimes closes that right down a little more.
I confess to not being very familiar with Charlie Kirk, he seems to have been a genuinely nice guy. Even so I can guess we would have a few subjects to discuss had we ever met.
I really don’t want to live in a world where these conversations cannot be had. The sad irony is that the assassin is almost certainly a Democrat, too stupid to realize their part in closing down Democracy.
RIP Charlie
D. Messier: You are disgusting.. Others here have rebutted your lies.
I am devastated at this loss. Charlie was a great American and likely future President. He was one of the only conservatives with a strong enough backbone to engage liberals in their hives, in a calm manner. He stood for peace, freedom and free speech. For this he was taken from us. RIP CK.
“Don’t judge all Democrats by the postings of a few people. It’s not clear why the assassin shot Charlie Kirk, but you’re speculating anyway.”
It is not clear?
So, what might be the reason that a sniper with a high-powered rifle was on a roof and shot a man dead while sitting on a stage in the open surrounded by 3000 people on a university campus who came their and gathered to see and interactwith him specifically?
Hmmmm, it is a real mysterious head scratcher D. Messier. Do you have any theories why someone might take such an action at such an event? Extreme Left or Extreme Right, why!?
Lets throw some more mystery into your speculation D.M.:
https://x.com/stellarman22/status/1965940172660551877?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1965946740831564085%7Ctwgr%5Eb7abac4beef3e6e44f08c157b53828d265cec71e%7Ctwcon%5Es2_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fprotrumpnews.com%2Fweird-private-flight-leaves-shortly-after-assassination-illegally-turns-off-its-radar%2F
I guess we will all have to wait for the two-year or more FBI investigation so that we in the Public can possibly understand why someone would be incentivized to do such a thing.
We wait.
But while we are waiting for that official report about who and why if we are to speculate this looks very much like a Butler PA shooting event scenario, 2.0. To me anyway.
And no one can understand why the Butler PA shooting event happened.
All we can do is speculate.
Still waiting.
Speculation is what folks do of course…Race baiting and red-baiting gets old.
Something else I was thinking about.
What didn’t we see yesterday?
Utah is a pretty conservative state, holy underwear and all—but I usually expect counter-protestors to mob individuals like Kirk.
Yesterday, everyone stood well back.
Now, that is likely due to security, and/or Mormons being polite (even when Protestants visit and they proselytize one another).
Thing is, when folks stand well back, it opens avenues…lines of sight.
Yesterday’s venue was a bowl.
Were I an assassin, I might have used a .50 atop one of those mountains with the bullet passing a few feet over the roof….but the discharge sounded closer–to my ear at least.
Truth is often one of the first casualties in these situations–but I can’t help but compare this with the previous assassination attempt involving a fair sized crowd.
If a sniper did in fact use a rooftop, he would likely have needed a bolt-cutter. Maintenance men lock up roof access from below with padlocks.
From now on, private security details need to inspect these things.
The windows seemed quite dark–I don’t think they can be opened–but if so, lousy chip-cameras won’t tell you much.
A bolt action was found in the woods like I suspected–but that doesn’t mean it was the murder weapon.
It might be that the person detained yesterday was released in hopes of leading investigators to another suspect—but that could be prepared for.
Stay frosty.
I have been glued to the radio all morning, they have pieced together video of the shooter, a limber man dressed in black 200 feet away climbing off the roof… It could be the same poor video that I posted yesterday of the news cast.
Yes they found the weapon. A bolt action with three unspent cartridges in the magazine…
With trans transgender messages and comments against fascism written on the cartridges. Similar to the last transgender shooter. As Glenn Beck just played on national radio, The writing is nearly identical to the questions that was asked Charlie Kirk just before he was shot. Coincidence? Was the person asking the questions involved? A coordinated attack?
Following the path of escape, they’re asking for doorbell footage… Stay tuned.
Alex Jones says he was wearing body armor, that the bullet ricocheted off that armor lifting his shirt up as it went into his neck. (conspiracy theories aside, there’s been so many transgender occurrences all over the country that this group becoms a very plausible “Patsy” if you were a CIA or international assassin… A few words written on bullets could lead us down the wrong path intentionally)
Mentally compromised amateurs make mistakes and are caught quickly, they crave recognition and are proud of what and who they are. All the Patsys in the last few assassination attempts we’re failures with no results other than strengthening the opposition… Amateurs will no longer be used in regime changes. For example, the eight leading contenders of the opposition party in Germany that have just suddenly died. Nepal has been overthrown by the civilians. French government has dissolved and they’re trying to put the pieces back together. Riots in Britain, they are losing their country.
Original version of the 1917 Kipling poem. Revised sometime soon after publication to replace English with Saxon. Think this sums up what is coming as well as any other possible rant. Schlichter often notes that the left is not gonna enjoy playing under their new rules. I think he is right. Cheers –
“The Beginnings” by Rudyard Kipling (1917)
It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late
With long arrears to make good,
When the English began to hate.
They were not easily moved,
They were icy-willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the English began to hate.
Their voices were even and low,
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show,
When the English began to hate.
It was not preached to the crowd,
It was not taught by the State.
No man spoke it aloud,
When the English began to hate.
It was not suddenly bred,
It will not swiftly abate,
Through the chill years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the English began to hate.

What does Poland and the murder of Charlie Kirk have in common?
BE STRONG! (it’s all related)
https://www.sigma3ioc.com/post/be-strong-it-s-all-related
The Left no longer behaves “decently” because they long ago ceased to be Judeo-Christian westerners.
Their view of themselves and others does not start from creation in the image of One G-d. It does not include free will, or natural moral law.
Because it does not start with monotheism, they have no concept of brotherhood – and therefore no commitment to equality before the law or the rights of the individual.
They are neo-pagans.
This devolution has played out over a century, and accelerated after WWII.
The Boomer-era adults talk about “decency” or “it’s just not done” because they have been trained not to use words like “morality” – are already themselves confused and compromised in their values..
Their kids are nihilistic opportunists devoid of even that vague “social nicety” connection to Judeo-Christian morality. It’s evaporated. The families and congregations that would have passed it on were dismembered.
With no sense of their own divine soul, character, or integrity – they will do whatever advances them at the moment. So they wear T-shirts with Luigi Mangione, chant “free Palestine”, and cheer at a political assassination.
Breitbart was correct – politics is downstream from culture.
It will not be possible to MAGA without reconnecting the population in some way to the Judeo-Christian view of humanity.
This isn’t just a political fight. It is primarily cultural and moral/philosophical.
The FBI has the weapon now.
It might be an old mouser style bolt action rifle in 30-06.
There is supposedly evidence on the ammo to supporting the transgender community.
They now have good pictures of the shooter so he or she will be caught soon i predict.
I hope qualified people step up and fill Charlies role as a public speaker for the right.
I hope TP doubles or even triples the amount of collages they go to every week.
Why did the Founders cite a Creator in relation to where Rights in fact came from?
Whether you are absolutely a religious zealot or whether you are a stone-cold atheist or niellist, the Founders constructed the Constitution so that what it identified as being primary in the first 10 amendments, specifically the first two, could never be subverted by man.
Your Rights in America do not come from or and are not granted by government.
If your American Rights in particular came not from a religion, religion being a construct of man. But came from what any religion is subordinate to and attempts to connect to, the Universe, a Creator, a supreme being or God, determined by you then how do you get around that logic?
The Founders recognized a “Creator / God”, and one third of the Founders were Masons and recognized G.A.T.U. (The great architect of the universe) and despised the Pope and the Catholic religion.
You cannot, man cannot subvert what the Founders wrote in stone! And that is the point.
The Democrat party machine and the radical “progressive” Socialists HATE that unsubvertible constructed in Objectivity intent by the Founders contained within the Constitution.
And that is why they clearly exist in extreme Subjective opposition to what it constructs, and they must work to undermine, destroy and recast it. Socialism as well as Communism is Godless and creator less.
A document formulated and constructed by rich, white, Judeo / Christian Patriarchs.
This is the Democrats and the radical Left in America and the worlds entire justifying logic in everything that they attempt to do in American politics.
And based in that self-serving Subjective logic all and everything up to and including murder is justifiable.
By any means necessary means exactly that as per the Democrat party machine thought process.
Just to clarify things for anyone confused by the chaos in the politics of the day, this is fundamentally what drives specifically the Democrat party in America and by extension the world.
I understand the pouring of sorrow and outrage here….. Believe me, I genuinely do… Seeing one of your own going down is tragic, and it’s tragic for me to see an intelligent voice from “the other side” who welcomed debate and discussion go down in such a manor… We, on this part of the world, and as voices of democracy should be better than this.
But I would reiterate what has been said earlier in this thread… I’m sure the vast majority of Democratic voters feel as much sorrow… It’s not fair to paint almost half your country with the same brush as a few lunatics. This only fuels the cycle of hate. In my opinion, bridges almost always need to be built, not burned.
A side note, the whole “trans” thing is not really a thing… The percentage of people who identify as transgender is vanishingly small… I have many gay friends ( my ex wife is a hairdresser… Go figure!) , but have only known one trans man. “Tranny Dave”, I worked with in the mid 80’s. A sweet and kind guy. Now don’t get me wrong, I have many concerned questions regarding changing rooms, sports and the like which need addressing, but connecting how someone “identifies” and their chances of grabbing a gun and commiting murder, once again fuels the cycles of hate. I’m sure if someone wants to pull up the statistics from a reliable source there won’t be much difference between the left and the right regarding gun murder, and anything transgender just fades into background noise.
My intention is not to start any form of augment on this thread here and now… Just to suggest deep breaths are needed, remember that we are human, and most humans just want a peaceful life, regardless of race, politics or creed.
I don’t do praying, but my thoughts are certainly with you right now my American friends.
LeeS:
You are correct, not ALL Democrats are as being described associated with the extreme Left. But there does become a bright political drawn between the Right and the Left and it is difficult for either to understand the other side or cross over that line. But that is just the nature of politics.
That is why I make the distinction, the “Democrat party machine” in America has been taken over by the younger and well indoctrinated radical Marxists I.E. “progressives” and it is these well indoctrinated who ascribe to the “Destroy the Patriarchy” mantra. I know lots of rational hard working patriotic Democrats. Regular everyday Democrats.
And once you go there, where the extreme Left lives you can justify anything, up to and including murder. Which is exactly what some, not all on the Left particularly amongst the young can justify. Charlie Kirk has been Objectified and is just a symbol now, a thing.
That is how you fight wars, you objectify your enemy. You cannot destroy a fellow human as easily as you can destroy a thing. And that thing has been determined to be what existentially threatens you.
To my point: “Im glad that MFR is dead”: https://youtu.be/Y3jUrS-ATDQ?si=X2f-SfxNAPi0ISNj
She sounds intelligent and highly educated but there is something wrong with her and those who associate with her thinking.
Charlie Kirk, a “Cruel, evil terrible person”.?
You tell me.
Lee S.,
The cycle of hate is fueled primarily on the Left, as evidenced by its incessant protests (many violent); overuse and abuse of terms like “racist”, “Hitler”, “hater”, “denier”, “misogynist”, etc. for people who disagree; and now the many Tik-Tok and X posts celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk.
As for so-called “transgenderism”, it is a mental illness. The “transgenders” might comprise a very small segment of the total population, but it is responsible for a much larger portion of the crazy and hate-filled social media posts. They are trying to force not merely acceptance of their mental illness, but celebration of it. Anyone who fails to comply is a “hater”.
As I said guys…. My intention is not to start an argument… Just to remind you that just under half of your fellow citizens are democrat voters. The very vast majority are law abiding citizens, and should not be demonized because they have a different idea of the government they want, or the government they don’t want…. There are psychopathic on both sides… ( Look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anders_Behring_Breivik ) a right wing fanatic who killed 60+ children a decade or so ago in Norway… We don’t judge a huge chunk of the population on the actions of one lone crazy, and neither should you. If you close down the hatches and plug your ears over the actions of whatever flavor of b*stated committed this atrocity, they have won. The only way to react is to understand, explain and undermine whatever foolish agenda the shooter had in mind.
Outright hatred, as I said earlier, only fuels the fires of discontent, which helps no one.
As I said earlier… I hope this ends up panning out ok for you guys…. There is enough war in the world right now without a civil war over… Good luck !

I hold any and all democrats responsible for all of this.
By actively supporting the extreme far left they support all they do.
I am sorry but until they prove to me they no longer support insanity i hold them responsible.
The extreme far left has declared violent war on the right. I will fight back if needed. My compassion is very very thin right now.
Its time to CCW again.
Perhaps this can help

It’s not enough to condemn violence now because of all the bad PR. They knew what they were stoking. The antifa brownshirt thugs are no accident. There’s a laundry list of violence from those people.
Now it’s time to say MAGA is not nazism, different ideas are OK and words aren’t violence, that natural truths aren’t hate speech, that there is no existential threat to our democracy. Say that Trump and republicans are not Hitler, but HUMAN BEINGS.
Now is the time. Can’t or won’t do it- will you?
Keeping in mind, all of this chaos and confusion favors the CCP Chinese, the Russians and their associates in their continuing psyops that they are conducting within the open society that is America.
The trans movement, LGBTQ movement, enflaming racism and division, promoting looting, funding Socialist mayors, district attorneys, local and national political races, it does not happen without help. All Globalist agendas driven by the radical Left.
Everything ongoing in America serves to destabilize and deliver America weakened into the future and any conflict that is being planned by the enemies of America.
Conspiracy?
It is all a Conspiracy, until it’s not.
A friend writes to me: “How do you explain what Israel is able to accomplish against Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and Iran? Do you think it’s only because of the support from the United States? I truly feel it is divine intervention.”
I answered: “Israel does not exist if America does not say it exists and supports it. So, by extension you could argue that America is also a function of divine intervention. And I would agree.”
And I included this George Washington story.
“I am a chief and ruler over my tribes. My influence extends to the waters of the great lakes and to the far blue mountains. I have traveled a long and weary path that I might see the young warrior of the great battle. It was on the day when the white man’s blood mixed with the streams of our forests that I first beheld this Chief. I called to my young men and said, mark yon tall and daring warrior? He is not of the red-coat tribe – he hath an Indian’s wisdom, and his warriors fight as we do – himself alone exposed. Quick, let your aim be certain, and he dies. Our rifles were leveled, rifles which, but for you, knew not how to miss – `twas all in vain, a power mightier far than we, shielded you.” One warrior declared: “I had seventeen fair fires at him with my rifle and after all could not bring him to the ground! Seeing you were under the special guardianship of the Great Spirit, we immediately ceased to fire at you.”
Then his prophecy: “I am old and soon shall be gathered to the great council fire of my fathers in the land of shades, but ere I go, there is something bids me speak in the voice of prophecy: Listen! The Great Spirit protects that man and guides his destinies – he will become the chief of nations, and a people yet unborn will hail him as the founder of a mighty empire. I am come to pay homage to the man who is the particular favorite of Heaven, and who can never die in battle” (“The man who could not be killed,” George Washington Parke Curtis, Recollections and Private Memoirs of Washington, Philadelphia, J.W. Bradley, 1859).
The chief’s prophecy came true. Perhaps it is time to be less dismissive and more inclusive of the hand of God in the affairs of this nation.”
No matter the political chaos and confusion by the internal and external enemies, America is and remains, special.
D Messier, you don’t expect consistency? Consider the consistency of who, statistically, commits crimes in the US. Consider the consistency of who, statistically, celebrates on social media the deaths of political opponents. Consider the consistency of which political party has ruled the most violent cities in the US for decades. Consider the consistency of the political affiliation of practically every political assassin in American history. As to that last: please list them. Give me an example of an avowed Republican political assassin. There must be something there… please, enlighten your benighted inferiors.
It may very well have been just one person. I think the reason many believe in JFK conspiracy theories is that the mind recoils at the idea of one fool who had a lucky shot–that may have been true here.
Earlier tonight, I was watching an ALIEN reaction video from “The Colby Show” on YouTube. She had a similar reaction video to The Thing, with only a short available now.
I did a search of her name–but stumbled upon something called “Sam & Colby.”
Remember the triangle on the hat?
A lot of fresh faced young men with dark hair hair favor the individual we saw today.
Go to that site–and tell me what you think.
One last thing.
If I want to hide a murder weapon, I might place an unused similar weapon in a more revealing place–then have a bud get the real weapon after I draw attention to myself.
If “Lee S” is from Europe, he dwells in a political swamp of their own making. If he lives there, he cannot have opinions even close to the ones voiced here. Immigration and censorship , plus no economies to speak of are leading to ruin and misery. There have been studies that have shown that the “left” would not want to associate, befriend, date, or marry a “conservative”. Also, the “left would want to not attend family functions/gatherings if “conservative” family members would also be there. Lee S’ comments are not middle of the road in any sense. By not living here, he cannot know the extent of vitriol spewed by “the left”.
Lee S,
You wrote: “I’m sure the vast majority of Democratic voters feel as much sorrow… It’s not fair to paint almost half your country with the same brush as a few lunatics. This only fuels the cycle of hate. In my opinion, bridges almost always need to be built, not burned.”
This only shows us just how little you know of us in the U.S. You think you know, because you visited a couple of times, but you don’t. I am immersed in Democrats and other left wingers, and they are not sorrowful. Not one. They are not kind to anyone who disagrees with them and are far more like the Democrats in Congress who booed any attempt to acknowledge Charlie Kirk. They are not lunatics. They are not just wrong; they are evil. One of these leftists asked me, with a smile on his face, if I heard of the right wing activist who had a late term abortion; it turned out he meant Kirk. No sorrow and no kindness to the dead, just meanness.
But then, we should expect that from people who follow the party that was founded specifically to defend the institution of slavery. The party that founded and made up the Ku Klux Klan. The party of Jim Crow. The party of segregation. The party that resisted civil rights, even after President Johnson decided to turn those rights against the minorities it was supposed to protect — and he succeeded wildly. The party that calls anyone who fails to agree wholeheartedly with them “fascist,” “racist,” “Nazi,” “hate-monger,” “Hitler,” “hater,” “denier,” “misogynist,” and “bigot,”
Your own England’s left wing is not immune to the same hatred as we experience from our left wing. When Margret Thatcher passed away, what was the song that came out of the mouths of England’s left? Ah, that’s right. It came straight from the movie “The Wizard of Oz,” after the wicked witch was dead.
Huh. Lee, not only do you not know America’s left wing as well as you think you do, but you don’t even know your own homeland’s left wing, either. We Americans have been paying attention, because it is so similar to the left wing here.
Come to think of it, the Democrats’ Ku Klux Klan started out by doing these same kinds of assassinations to Republicans in the South. It was later, after they subdued the southern Republicans, that they turned on the ex-slaves. It looks like they are up to their old ways, again.
Assassin apparently in custody, awaiting official confirmation….
Jeff Wright’s musings is the most correct.
22-year-old Tyler Robinson, man from southern Utah (not far from where I grew up… where two of my seven family members there lives) drove 300 miles for this purpose.
The news is currently full of the details and more to come as they look at his friends computer that he’s been in contact with others. But it looks like a lone gunman full of hate. Not transgender just sympathetic.
This didn’t age well.
D. Messier: You disgust me. The kid might have had Republican parents, but he had clearly been radicalized to hate Kirk by the left. Watch this:
The point is that Kirk is none of the evil things the evil left slanders him about. And even if those slanders were even slightly true, that doesn’t justify murder.
But that has been the left’s position, widely shared by its supporters like you. Kirk is conservative, and thus he says hateful things, and thus deserves to die. That’s the left’s position. As I said, this event showed us the murderous colors of the Democrats.
Ok…. Here we go… I did not set out to start an argument over what I understand is a difficult moment in US politics, and indeed in politics in general. Free speech should never be censored, by violence or policy, and I stand with those that agree. However I am (as usual) having my words twisted , and being called out as some kind of brainwashed fool ( which I can assure you I am not. ) so….
@DJ… Quote “Lee S’ comments are not middle of the road in any sense. By not living here, he cannot know the extent of vitriol spewed by “the left”…
Ignoring the previous nonsense in your comment, ( I don’t live in a swamp by the way… I live in a free and open land where free speech, as a rule, doesn’t get you shot), If you don’t consider my leanings to be middle of the road, what do you consider to be? Yes I consider myself to be a socialist… That doesn’t mean I am stupid. I believe in free Enterprise, I also believe in higher taxes to pay for a better society via transparent government. I have had this discussion here sooo many times it’s now boring.
It’s called “confirmation bias” when you only listen to things that rise to the top of your news feed, and you never even get to listen to the vast majority of folks that are moderate left wing. ( It’s the same falisy that the wife only remembers when you leave the toilet seat up, not the vast majority of times you remember to put it down )
Right back at you, Bob.
You continue to blame all Democrats for the murderous action of one person. That is despicable, Bob. Despicable. Disgusting. Deranged.
Bob:
I put “Minnesota lawmakers killer political affiliation” into Google. This is what it found. What are your sources for this?
Vance Luther Boelter, the suspect in the June 2025 killings of former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, was a fervent supporter of Donald Trump and had right-wing, extremist political views.
Details about Boelter’s political views:
Trump support: His roommate told CBS News that Boelter was “a Trump supporter, voted for Trump,” and would have been offended to be called a Democrat.
Anti-abortion stance: A recorded speech from 2023 shows Boelter stating, “The churches are so messed up, they don’t know abortion is wrong”.
Anti-LGBTQ+ views: In the same speech, he expressed confusion about people questioning their gender or sexual orientation, suggesting, “The enemy has gotten so far into their mind and their soul”.
Republican affiliation: In addition to voting for Trump, records show he was a registered Republican in Oklahoma in 2004.
Extremist views: Boelter was reportedly a “prepper” preparing “for war”.
The crime and political motivation
The victims: Boelter is accused of killing Melissa and Mark Hortman and wounding Democratic State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, at their homes on June 14, 2025.
Targeted attack: Authorities have stated the killings were a “politically-motivated assassination”. A “hit list” with the names of nearly 70 elected officials, most of them Democrats, was found in Boelter’s abandoned vehicle.
Conspiracy theories: In the wake of the crime, some Republicans, including Utah Senator Mike Lee, falsely linked Democrats to the shooting and promoted conspiracy theories. Social media users pushed back on this misinformation by citing evidence of Boelter’s own right-leaning views and registered Republican history.

@Edward
You obviously have never visited the UK, much less Scandinavia…
The left wing over here generally has the majority… Just..
And the vast majority on both sides are level headed law abiding citizens , just with different views. I have friends on both sides… None of which have the inclination to go shoot someone. Democracy gives us the chance to express our political views with our vote.
Instead of demonizing any political party, and there lunatic fringe members, demonize those that turn to violence instead of the democratic process.
As mentioned above… You only hear the vitriol from extremists… You never hear from the vast majority of moderate democrats because they don’t make a news story.
( I don’t believe a word of your “One of these leftists asked me, with a smile on his face, if I heard of the right wing activist who had a late term abortion; it turned out he meant Kirk. ” Story… It makes for a good inflammatory tale tho..)
And @Bob, and pretty much everyone else here…
Take a moment to take in what I have to say… I say it without malice or bad intentions.
You watch mostly right wing news sources. They will only ever push the very worse examples of the “loony left”s reaction to this murder. The “moderate left”s reaction doesn’t make for good TV.
Almost half of your country voted democrat in the last 3/4/5? Election cycles… Is 50% of your population a bunch of murderous animals?
Now is the time for clear eyes and minds. Preaching that anyone left of yourselves are complicent with murder is not helping anyone or anything.
Even tho I will no doubt be called somehow a fool for these comments, I wish you guys the best of luck in calming everything down and getting your political system back on track. Just remember, throwing hate after hate will never bring peace.
The spin begins

” Yes I consider myself to be a socialist… That doesn’t mean I am stupid. I believe in free Enterprise, I also believe in higher taxes to pay for a better society via transparent government. I have had this discussion here sooo many times it’s now boring.”
Socialism: “Socialism is a political, social, and economic philosophy encompassing a range of economic and social systems characterised by social ownership of the means of production and workers’ self-management of enterprises.”
“I believe in the free enterprise system”. You “Consider yourself a Socialist”.
These statements are counter to the system / country / reality you actually exist within.
You might consider yourself able to fly, but I would not suggest you step off the top of the Eifel Tower lest you be introduced to real reality.
You live in a CAPITALIST country / system that chooses to have generous (Liberal) social programs.
You make believe you are a Socialist and that being so you are unable to understand what it is that you actually promote and attempt to discuss.
You consider yourself a Socialist but you in fact exist and work in a privately owned Capitalist system where private property dominates.
Something that just struck me—I think Kirk was struck when he was engaging a student about shootings.
That might be a coincidence—but I don’t believe so.
I wonder if the individual questioning Kirk was wearing a wire and setting him up so he would be shot at that particular moment.
Jeff Wright: You are wrong. The student asking the questions when Kirk was shot has issued a statement. He was and is still horrified by what happened.
Lee S asked: “ Is 50% of your population a bunch of murderous animals?”
Yes. That is why they favor abortion. They also want all guns banned, because they fear that they will succumb to their murderous ways and will get a gun and start shooting the people who don’t agree with them. Some of them do succumb.
Before we can help anyone or anything, we must identify the problem, and here it is:
I wrote: “It looks like they are up to their old ways, again.”
The modern left-wing strategy is different from the KKK days. The KKK was an organized group, with leaders and structure, complete with subgroups, like chapters of a society or club. Being organized like this comes with risks of capture of an individual and his identifying to authorities the rest of the chapter or cell.
The current strategy is to use stochastic* violence.
Obama used stochastic governance, where he told his followers to punish the party’s enemies and reward its friends. His followers within government began to do just that, through their own individual initiative. An early instigator was Lois Lerner at the IRS, when she directed her team to deny exemption status to groups whose names sounded like they might be Tea Party or Republican related. She punished a couple of Democrat groups, but she also punished a whole lot of Republican groups, and these denials were one part of the corruption that helped Obama’s reelection, which is why she is a Democrat heroine. No one has to be directly told to corrupt government to work against Republicans; it became part of the bureaucrat’s mindset.
The stochastic violence strategy is just as insidious. Leftists believe that the ends justifies the means, where the means can be violence or murder. Leftists continuously indoctrinate everyone into feeling like it is OK to be violent against speech that they disagree with. “Speech is violence” when the words disagree with leftists. “Violence is speech” when it is left-wingers being violent. Violent and destructive protests are “mostly peaceful” when it is leftists doing the violent protesting.
It is more subtle when they ask questions like, “what if someone had murdered Adolf Hitler when he was a child?” Abortion allows people to treat life as worth less than it is, or even to be worthless, imbuing left-wing followers with the idea that murder is acceptable, under the “right” conditions. Thus most of today’s left-wing followers feel that it is OK to assassinate Trump or Musk. Many feel that it is OK to murder a random pharmaceutical executive, and to cheer when some random leftist does so, even to the point of naming legislation after the murderer. This is why it is almost always left leaning people who are the mass murderers; not only do they feel that it is OK to attack right-wingers, they also feel it is OK to murder those who have angered them.
The leftists do not need an organization to do the KKK’s bidding. They now rely upon random violence, perpetrated by self-selected emotional followers, and it almost always cannot be directly traced back to the leadership. There may be the occasional unfortunate random school shooting, but that has the advantage of the victims’ families calling for the disarming of the law-abiding right-wingers. The unlawful left-wingers will always find weapons to do the bad deeds — a gun, a knife, a car, a law, a fictitious accusation on a Republican, or whatever it takes.
No leader need fear punishment, which allows left-wing Congresspeople to stand on the steps of the Supreme Court and advocate violence against its Justices, leading to protesting with impunity outside the homes of Justices who are not left leaning, and leading to a random leftist traveling to a Justice’s house to assassinate him. Not only is the violence stochastic, but police departments have been corrupted by the “punish enemies” directive, often through orders from politicians. No one who has inspired evil — and no one who has failed to stop evil — is held accountable or owns the responsibility for the evil, and they continue their behavior that emboldens those who commit the stochastic violence.
Since the indoctrination was so widespread, so insidious, so much a part of American life, who would we blame for the encouraging the evil deed? Therefore, we blame only the indoctrinated evildoer, and everyone else gets to have a feeling of innocence, living life as though they had done no wrong, continuing their strategy to create stochastic violence — violence that is used in order to inspire the governed to consent to a stronger, more tyrannical government, a government that promises safety but does not intend to keep that promise. Commenter Doug Messier is just as guilty of the blame game as the rest, saying that it is despicable, disgusting, and deranged to suggest that the left may have influenced any killer — demanding sources while he refuses to link to his own. He is one of the reasons that the stochastic violence works, because he allows the indoctrination and the immersion to continue.
I wrote: “I am immersed in Democrats and other left-wingers, and they are not sorrowful. Not one.”
I get to listen to a large number of folk who are moderate left-wing all the way to extreme left-wing, and even the moderates here, like in England, are mean spirited. If we say anything that they don’t want to hear, then they just tell us that they don’t believe us, even though it seems unlikely that someone who claims to have visited the United States would understand us so little. It isn’t as though we can avoid left-wing news sources, we are inundated with them. We cannot go anywhere without a left-wing news broadcast on a television screen. Left-wing news is ubiquitous in America, and we have to seek out any other source to get anything resembling balance. This is how deeply immersed we are in the left ideology.
Sure, there are words said to say that evil is bad, but then they all — even the leaders — go right back to their usual behaviors. We have a couple of people here who have commented the requisite words, but they haven’t changed their opinions, because they are too imbued with the attitudes that they were indoctrinated with. They say the words without conviction, because the words run counter to their life-long indoctrination. They remain indoctrinated, because they, too, are immersed in the modern culture of leftism. Only occasionally do they encounter people of the right, so only occasionally do they hear anything that is contrary to their lifelong indoctrination. It is why it is so hard to change their hearts, because their entire worldview is based upon leftism. This -ism is not going away any time soon, because it is not part of our society, it is the worldwide society, now. That is why virtually the entire world went tyrannical with the Wuhan flu panic.
To assist in the development of the stochastic assassins, politicians direct police to not enforce certain laws, allowing for protests to get out of hand and violent. Prosecutors won’t go after certain people or punish various crimes, allowing those susceptible to the indoctrination to work their way into worse and worse crimes until they become the stochastic murderers. Cash-free bail lets the bad guys radicalize themselves faster than if they had to spend time in jail or prison, and it gives them more opportunities to do their evil deeds. A side benefit is that the population becomes fearful, demanding greater government control over everyone’s life, as though government is the solution, not the problem. The occasional mentally unstable person does evil, like the guy who killed the girl on the trolley, the other day, but prosecutors and judges use them to keep the rest of us in fear. Our society has become toxic, and we are all immersed in this toxicity.
No one has to be directly told to get an abortion, be violent, or assassinate right-wingers; it becomes part of the left-wing mindset. Sweet innocent citizens think that they are doing right as they escalate their violence in the ways that the leadership desires. Like Al Capone, each innocent citizen descends into evil thinking that he is doing society a favor, and his friends and family think that he is a nice guy who wouldn’t harm anyone — until he does.
So, how are the followers told who to target? The left-wing leadership or their media call the targets “controversial.” Or: “racist,” “Nazi,” “hate-monger,” “literally Hitler,” “hater,” “denier,” “bigot,” “misogynist,” and even “homophobe.” No wonder they think that climate change deniers should be jailed or executed. They hear the key word and automatically know the solution. Sometimes targets are told that they will reap the whirlwind, suffer serious consequences of one’s actions, but that is unusual; it is risky, because it points back to a motivator or influencer.
The modern left-wing strategy works very well. It does not require any lunatic fringe, and it is becoming pervasive in other countries, as well. It wasn’t just the lunatics in England that were cheering Thatcher’s death; their mainstream lefties were overjoyed.

randomly determined; having a random probability distribution or pattern that may be analyzed statistically but may not be predicted precisely.
Since no one is willing to answer my question, I had to look it up myself. Good grief, not even lefty Wikipedia can downplay how many Republicans have been killed for political reasons. Generally (obviously with caveats and outliers) there is a party of adulthood, in which rights are extended to all subject to obvious historical lessons and rationality, and there is a party of angry children and grifters, in which rights are denied or made sacrosanct based on greed and mindless ideology. Choose wisely, D Messier. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_assassinated_American_politicians
Patrick:
Grifters? Really? You see how much money Trump is making off his presidency, and you don’t believe he and his family are grifters? Trump is the very definition of grifter.
How deep did you go on that Wikipedia page? Plenty of Democrats on the list.
Trump’s response to the Minnesota killings was that of an angry middle school child. It would be embarrassing if Trump were capable of it.
I read the list of political assassinations, if you went further than just the party affiliation and read the why you found that much of it was politically related. But also, it was just inhouse “I did not get what I wanted” from a politician or a lawyer.
People who are under great pressure or interpret their reality in a way that creates great psychological pressure or for an alleged existential cause pushes people over the blind rage edge and they can kill others to satisfy their rage. Irrational as it may in reality be in the bigger picture.
Unfortunately, the Kirk Turning Point operation became so successful and with that success drew many to diametrically oppose and hate him.
Kirk had security, but it was not realized or more likely recognized fully that the hate was so intense, and his opposition was so deranged (Many of them really are irrational and crazy) that the venue left open the long-range opportunity. And if it was not long range then it would be short range for any determined assassin.
Politics especially today is a very dangerous business.
And that condition will probably not get much better in the short term any time soon.
And let’s not forget the media and the newly minted power of Social Media:
Here the media genius, desperate for relevance Chris Cuomo, son of a traditional Liberal Democrat, and that’s where all of this chaos and planned confusion begins, and the brother of the most vacant, malleable and practical political poser and aspirational political prince, Andrew Cuomo speaks about Kirks assassination.
Who does an American political prince marry? A political princess of course, he marries a Kennedy. How is that working out? A fraud and poser on all levels, a despicable human.
D Caller: “During a rant on his podcast about how destructive social media is, Cuomo argued Musk was devoid of morals and value, saying he would not “be surprised” if the X CEO was killed.”.
Sometimes fabricating content and opinion on a pod cast or NEWS” program is just that, fabrication.
Chris Cuomo in his desperation to be relevant in essence helps put a cross hair on Musks back and encourages more insane Leftist radical “progressive” violence against another former now awake Liberal Democrat, now a MAGA Republican and supporter of Trump, Elon Musk.
Musk replies: “By implying that I might be murdered by the radical left, Cuomo is exactly proving my point!” Musk wrote.
Constitutionally ensured free speech Rights is every Americans free speech Right, but that does not mean that you will not have to defend yourself in court due to your chosen free speech.
Be careful what you wish for Liberals, Leftists, “progressives”, Democrats and radicals. Be very careful. The sword of moralistic justice using the Constitution is a very sharp instrument and it can cut both ways.
The process in many instances can be the punishment.
Be very careful.
This mischaracterizes what I wrote. Bob jumped to a conclusion that it was a Democrat who killed Kirk. This was before authorities had any idea of who killed him and why.
Sources? I could give you a dozen sources on any subject, and you’d reject them.
D. Messier: So now that my instincts about the killer have been proven utterly true, what do you have to say now about my post? It seems you are avoiding the main issue of the present evil within the Democratic Party and the left, which only proves my point even more forcefully.
Cow me Edward… You really need to get out more!! You write a book pointing out how myself and D. Messier are wrong… Do you realize you are preaching to the choir?
There are no doubt other democrat leaning readers here, but it’s not easy being a lefty and posting here. One tends to be “informed” of ones stupidity and given a long lecture why one is wrong, usually by folks who have never encountered anything different from their own little bubble. At least that is my experience over the last… What… 15 years?
I have explained my political views ad nauseam over the years… I am mostly left.. as are most ( but certainly not all ) of my friends… Birds of a feather and suchlike, and not one of us have any urgency to pick up a gun.
This is certainly the case over there also… As I said in my previous post, if you consider almost 50% of the US population to be murderous beasts, you should prepare yourself for the next civil war, and consider your bastion of democracy over. The right will no doubt win, you guys own the majority of the guns, but ask yourselves what exactly will you have won? A one party state? That smells a little like a dictatorship… Trump will approve.
It is natural to pavlovianly hate all democrats in this situation when looking from the far right position held by most of the posters here… But all democrats don’t deserve to be painted with the same brush, just as neither do all republicans ( the friends I come to visit over there are republican.. we occasionally discuss politics, but agree to disagree… We have been friends for over 40 years and will remain so for the rest of our lives )
I will repeat myself… Calm heads and clear eyes are needed right now… Hating thy neighbor over politics smacks more than a little of 1930s Germany, America, you are better than that.
Things are kicking off back in the UK also… 100,000 far right VS 5000 leftist protestors… I know where I would be dancing, but I share this in the name of impartiality… You might hate me… But I don’t hate you .

Just to say…. My link is to The Guardian, which while being an extremely factually correct news agency, certainly has a left leaning bias in its reporting… It might behove folks here to take in a slightly different view on the news, but I’m sure other news agencies are available.
Lee S: Your faith in the Guardian is as mistaken as your love of socialism. This “extremely factually correct news agency” today decided to retract its report that the killer of Kirk was a leftist, even though numerous sources have confirmed it, including the Utah governor.
It appears there is now an effort by these leftists to deny what they said before, in order to obscure Robinson’s associations with the left. And of course, the Guardian is glad to go along.
Ok…. I can’t sleep… So let’s dance a little more…
@Cotour… Quote “You make believe you are a Socialist and that being so you are unable to understand what it is that you actually promote and attempt to discuss.
You consider yourself a Socialist but you in fact exist and work in a privately owned Capitalist system where private property dominates.’
Really, I hope you are self aware enough to realize that your first paragraph here makes zero sense, but that’s fine… Expected even.
Second paragraph…. Of course I understand I am a socialist living in a capitalist world…. What exactly have I said that would make you think any different? … I use my vote, and my voice ( as I am here ) to express my opinions and beliefs. I believe that is called freedom of speech… And democracy…
Come to Sweden for a few days… I will give you board and lodging and you can experience a truly life changing view on how society can function… WAY outside your US centric comfort zone ( This offer stands for any of the regulars here )… Other outlooks on life are available…
I genuinely mean this offer… Anyone here that fancies a couple of days in pinko commie Stockholm… You get the flights and I’ll fix you up with a hotel, and meals, and you will have me as your personal guide to a beautiful city with a political system you can’t comprehend.
First come… First served.
@Bob….. That’s exactly why I made my last statement… I can guarantee there were no factual falsehoods in the guardian piece, but it does report with a left leaning bias… I’m sure there are other reports with no factual falsehoods and a right leaning bias… We should take in all angles and then form an opinion…
Fancy a weekend in Stockholm? I would love to shoot the poop with you over a beer and some Swedish meatballs!
I don’t normally wade into the political discussions here, but as someone who used to read Parabolic Arc daily, I’ve just got to know.
Doug, what are you talking about here?

D. Messier,
You wrote: “I could give you a dozen sources on any subject, and you’d reject them.”
Ah, yes. The good old projection. Just because you would reject my links and Robert‘s links, you believe that I — and obviously Robert — would reject yours, so why would you bother giving yours? Maybe Robert won’t reject yours. Either way, you put a standard on Robert to share his links, but you have no similar standard to meet. Somehow that seems unfair. Maybe I have that wrong, and it is fair, but that is the kind of thing that leftists do all the time.
“This mischaracterizes what I wrote.”
To quote you:
“You continue to blame all Democrats for the murderous action of one person.”
And that is what I said you said:
“saying that it is despicable, disgusting, and deranged to suggest that the left may have influenced any killer”
Not all “killers,” not more than one killer, but any killer — meaning one person. How is that mischaracterization? Have the Democrats suddenly become not left?

Right-wing news sources are hard to find, here in America. We watch mostly left-wing news and have to try to figure out what is true and what is misleading or an outright lie. Leftists take it all as truth, but we have to do our research to find the real truth.
“Preaching that anyone left of yourselves are complicent with murder is not helping anyone or anything.”
Nice of you to defend the guilty. If we are to solve a problem, then we have to identify the problem. The problem is definitely on the left, believing that it is OK to assassinate Trump, Musk, random executives, and everyone else that they disagree with.
What would help, Lee, is if you tried to figure out how to stop the left-wing from being violent, murderous, evildoers. Complaining that we have identified that your side of politics is the problem is not helping anyone or anything.
“There are no doubt other democrat leaning readers here, but it’s not easy being a lefty and posting here.”
Try living in a culture completely dominated by Democrats and leftists. Oh, that’s right, you do! And they all agree with you, so you live a life without the kind of disagreement that we live every day. No wonder you get upset when we don’t agree with you. You live in agreement. You soak in it.
You only have to put up with us disagreeing with you when you bravely make political comments here, but we live among people who won’t even tolerate disagreement. You still get to make your viewpoint known to us, here on BTB, but many of us are shunned when we disagree with the people we have to live and work around. We will pay attention to your view, and then we will tell you why we disagree. You find that to be disagreeable, and then you complain that we didn’t agree with you. You don’t even want to know why we disagree.
At least you don’t shun us. Thank you for that.
“The right will no doubt win, you guys own the majority of the guns, but ask yourselves what exactly will you have won? A one party state? That smells a little like a dictatorship”
I already live in a one-party state and have for at least a decade. Yes, California is a lot like a dictatorship, and people are fleeing by the million. Having guns is no guarantee of winning this kind of civil war. California proves that point.
The left likes to think that the right will use their guns on them (the left). Again, that is projection. Just because leftists would, and all too often do, use guns on the people that they disagree with does not mean that right-wingers would do so, and they rarely do. Once again, California proves that the right doesn’t murder or riot, even when the left steals a whole state out from under us.
“( the friends I come to visit over there are republican.. we occasionally discuss politics, but agree to disagree… We have been friends for over 40 years and will remain so for the rest of our lives )”
See, I don’t know whether to believe you or not. You don’t believe me when I tell you my personal experiences, but I am supposed to believe yours. Are you projecting yet again? Somehow that seems unfair. Maybe I have that wrong, and it is fair, but that is the kind of thing that leftists over here do all the time. I would call it a double standard, but leftists over here have no actual standards, just a requirement that everything always go their way, like three-year-olds.
You may not be agreeing to disagree with us, but we have stated many times that we don’t think you will ever agree with us. We here on BTB have agreed to disagree, so if there is not a mutual agreement then it is you who do not agree to disagree.
And see how your Republican friends are not so quick to shun you but are perfectly willing to remain your friends, even when you disagree? We don’t get that kindness from American leftists.
“Calm heads and clear eyes are needed right now… Hating thy neighbor over politics smacks more than a little of 1930s Germany”
And that is a big difference between the left-wing and the right-wing. The left interprets any disagreement as hatred, but the right interprets disagreement as disagreement. You, Lee, are seeing disagreement as hatred. We may be angry that a leftist murdered one of our heroes, merely because he disagreed with the murderer’s beliefs, and we may blame the left’s culture of stochastic violence, but anger and accusation are not the same as hatred.
In fact, it is leftist hatred against the right that leads to such assassinations, to violent (mostly peaceful, in the left’s parlance) protests, and to projections of hatred.
By the way, if you think that 1930s Germany, Nazi Germany, was right wing, please be aware that the Nazi Party was the National Socialist German Workers Party.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_Party
The Nazis were not as right-wing as people try to make them out to be. Fascism controls businesses in ways that marxists don’t, but they heavily regulate business and commerce. It is almost the perfect socialist system, because if the business fails from all the overregulation, the owner, not the government, gets the blame. Not so dumb as they looked, those fascists. However, the Nazis did like the American Democratic Party’s fascination with eugenics, adapting it where they thought it did them some good. The Nazis and the American Democrats got along, up until Germany declared war on America.
“My link is to The Guardian, which while being an extremely factually correct news agency, certainly has a left leaning bias in its reporting”
Well, factually correct makes it sound as though you think this source may lie by omission. Maybe everything they say is factual, but do they leave out parts in order to mislead the readership? How can a news agency lean in one direction if it is being completely truthful? Does it leave out important right-wing viewpoints in its stories? Does it choose to do only stories that make the left look good and ignore the ones that would favor the right? Is your devotion to this one left-leaning news source the reason that you see things from a leftist point of view? Are you sure you even understand the right-wing point of view? Because you seem to miss our viewpoint all the time.
This morning I enjoyed my coffee made with the tears of those fired for stupid remarks about Charlies murder.

The far left thought doxxing was fun when they did it to the right.
Lee S,
You wrote: “Bob, and pretty much everyone else here … You watch mostly right wing news sources.” [ellipsis indicates omitted sentence]
and:
“My link is to The Guardian, which while being an extremely factually correct news agency, certainly has a left leaning bias in its reporting”
and:
“I’m sure there are other reports with no factual falsehoods and a right leaning bias… We should take in all angles and then form an opinion” [ellipsis in your original]
You accused us of watching mostly right wing news sources, but then you could only find a left-leaning news agency in order to make your point. Do you watch and read mostly left-leaning news sources? Do you watch or read any right-leaning sources? Or do none of the right-leaning news sources you watch and read not say anything that makes your point? If that is the case, then why do you think that your — in your words — “left leaning bias” source is correct in the point you wish to make?
You seem to have as much difficulty finding news sources with right-leaning biases as we Americans do. If we should take in all angles and then form our opinions, how do you think we Americans do that if we are so very limited in angles to take in? Why should we form an opinion from the point you make using only your Guardian report if there are no other reports with different angles to take in and consider while forming our opinion?
These are the kinds of problems we right-wingers have to deal with every time we watch the news. An event happened, and that first part we can generally believe. Who, what, when, and where are probably true. “Charlie Kirk was shot today at a college event in Utah.” Adjectives and adverbs are suspect, as they tend to try to bias the news: “… conservative leader Charlie Kirk was shot at a controversial college event in Utah …” Except for removing the word “who” from “who was shot,” the second version is what I heard, as I write this, on a national radio-network news report about Kirk’s murderer (the first version was shortened from what I heard, and I added the word “today” to include the “when” part of a news report). Adding the words “conservative,” “leader,” and “controversial” changed the theme or mood of the report, didn’t it?
A couple of decades ago, there was a daily morning email called “Journolist” that told left-wing news organizations how to spin the major political news events for that day. Except for Fox News, virtually all of America’s news reports used virtually the same phrases, adjectives, and adverbs to describe each important political news item. The theme and angle of any major political news item was the same almost everywhere we looked. Journolist was eventually outed and disbanded (or so we heard), but we still hear the same phrases, adjectives, and adverbs coming from the all same news sources as they report the important political news. We cannot just turn the dial or read a different newspaper to get a different angle or theme, as they are virtually exactly the same across the different sources and the different forms of media.
So, if we Americans have difficulty finding right-leaning sources to balance the theme of the left-leaning sources that we are immersed in, it is difficult to find the different angles for forming opinions. If you, Lee, can not or will not find a right-leaning source, why are you forming opinions without having the alternate angles?
The leftists in America don’t bother looking for any alternate angles. If they did, they would risk ridicule and rejection from their leftist friends. They self-select and reinforce their opinions, never seeing or understanding any alternate views or sources. In fact, a couple of decades ago, when Fox News called itself “fair and balanced,” leftists insisted that Fox was extremely right-wing biased just for presenting views other than the left’s. Just watching Fox could get a leftist shunned by his leftist friends. Many on the right have noted that Fox is less balanced in recent years and leans toward the left. Fox is the farthest right that we have in America as a major news source, and since it is the closest we have to balanced, then we Americans don’t have a national news source that is right-leaning. Instead, we have to search out sources that have fewer resources in order to get a variety of alternate angles, and the limited resources means that they are limited in what they can cover as news.
With the American mainstream news media providing only one viewpoint and using biased adjectives, such as “fascist,” “Nazi,” “literally Hitler,” how can leftists avoid thinking that the targeted right-wingers should be assassinated before they are elected (or reelected) president or otherwise do something that the lofty people of the left disagree with? The value of life has been reduced in the minds of these leftists. Thus, a majority of left-wingers feel that it is OK to assassinate Trump, Musk, random executives, police officers, and everyone else that they disagree with. And innocent unborn babies who are mere inconveniences to their mothers.
What virtuous values the left has.
We have two divergent groups that rely upon two completely different set of “facts”. I just had a long conversation with my 19 y.o daughter, a straight ‘A’ pre-med student at a major university. I would classify her as a passive conservative. My older daughter informed me that my youngest daughter had some pretty disturbing anti-Semitic, perhaps better classified as anti-Zionist opinions, which were shaped through algorithm guided instagram posts. Her views were sincere, grounded in what she perceived as fact. Her boyfriend, from a good very high ranking USMC family provided Instagram source material. The ‘Jews’ were behind 9/11 and killed JFK…and other issues… Of course, this is a topic where one can criticize all sides, but her facts were mostly counter to history. The point is that these are good kids that have fallen prey to the algorithm that just might not be impartial. I was asked to provide resource material and she agreed to further investigate these topics outside of Instagram.
There must be a concerted investigation to find the financial backers behind efforts to distort history and use their propaganda to destroy the fabric of society. These forces are at work throughout the West. I believe that much of this will ultimately be tied to China through a chain of control used to hide their actions. Media must be held to account and must declare something as opinion. For example, calling Trump a fascist is an opinion. Given which side of the political spectrum within fascism exists….this is quite misleading. Internal terrorist groups must be declared and all efforts used to eliminate their activity within the United States. I think standards can be used, such as branding groups that promote violence.. University funding must closely reflect the schools tendency to educate vs subjugate students with propaganda.
It is important to recognize that the alternative world in which many here and in Europe live is an intentional creation of powerful forces and will not easily be thwarted after decades of unchallenged activity.
Gary H:
” The ‘Jews’ were behind 9/11 and killed JFK…and other issues…”
Maybe tell your daughter to take some time and better look into and understand the activities of the CIA and possible associates when talking about BIG issues in the world and who is shaping them?
100%: “I believe that much of this will ultimately be tied to China through a chain of control used to hide their actions. ”
https://www.sigma3ioc.com/post/an-open-society-invites-communist-infiltration
Chi-comms have been doing that since Mao–or before.
Being a pragmatic people, there wouldn’t dare want such behavior in their own country.
GUTFELD was on fire recently. I rarely see him angry.
Bob:
As I said, your piece blamed an entire party for the actions of one killer. That is not fair. It’s not accurate. Violence begets violence. That’s why Democrats condemned this shooting. They mean what they say.
The killer appears to have been inspired to do this vile act by Charlie Kirk’s own rhetoric. Kirk spread hate against minority groups. It was cruel. It was unnecessary. But he had a right to say it.
He should absolutely not have been killed over it. Whether it be this assassination or the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, political violence is unacceptable. This idea that that all of this violence is from the left is crazy. The left didn’t beat up officers at the Capitol. Trump’s MAGA supporters did.
Charlie Kirk believed that some gun deaths were the price of letting almost anyone own a gun. Tragically he became part of that group. I can only offer the standard Republican response to every mass shooting. Thoughts and prayers. If those feel like empty words as you work through your grief, that’s because they are. You know how the rest of us feel when we hear them after a massacre.

“The killer appears to have been inspired to do this vile act by Charlie Kirk’s own rhetoric.”
This is a demonstration of a fundamental misunderstanding and misinterpretation regarding why Charlie Kirk was murdered.
Here D. Messier essentially blames Kirk for the sick actions of a mentally ill, delusional and deranged young man for his own murder.
A fundamental, accent on mental, misunderstanding.
And D. Messier I guarantee cannot see where he has failed humanity and America.
Charlie Kirks words, nothing he has ever said, ne event that he hosted or was a part of was a justification in any way shape or form for what this mentally ill person chose and decided to do.
He chose to murder Charlie Kirk, that’s it, end of story.
D. Messier
I can only ask for you to find any evidence Mr. Kirk hated minorities. And please quote him in full context. Leave a link.
He disliked the lgbtqexwhyzed life style of several reasons but he NEVER stated he hated the people.
He disagreed with the transgender platform they are pushing. But not the people.
He hated abortion. He argued against it logically and never used religion in those arguments.
As for doing his work on collages and universities. Well, much like bank robbers who go to the source of cash He went into the lions den to bring out a few new converts. And even this was held against him.
Contour:
Your reading comprehension skills are once again failing you, badly.
If these messages and other reports by law enforcement are accurate, the killer was involved with someone who was transitioning and angry with Kirk over anti-tran and anti-LBGTQ rhetoric. I’m not blaming Kirk, I’m explain what appears to be the motive.
He wasn’t the only one enraged by Kirk’s rhetoric. Unlike all the other people who protested and debated Kirk, he was disturbed enough to pick up a gun and shoot him. That’s the distinction I’m making here. Don’t blame everyone on the left, all Democrats, for the actions of one disturbed person.
The sad reality is we live in a country that thinks almost anyone should own a gun. It has a for-profit health care system that makes access to counseling quite expensive. That is a dangerous combination in a nation that is so politically divided.
Hey Pzatchok, I provided a link to a story explaining why people were enraged by Kirk’s rhetoric. They clearly don’t agree with your rather benign interpretation of what Kirk said. They saw it as hate speech and scapegoating. You don’t have to agree, but try to understand why they feel that way.
Robinson wrote sensitive and caring notes to his boyfriend soon to be his girlfriend, just before he shot Charlie Kirk in the neck!
I enrage some people, SO WHAT!?
The Left in the media, in politics and on this blog tend to “understand” what motivates those who act in ways that are anti civilization, murderous and evil, and that has its place. I do it myself, but what comes through from them is that in their seeking motivation and understanding you / they are essentially making excuses.
Perfect example: Montel Williams: Robinson was “A love torn child”: https://youtu.be/E2geu4P3nfs?si=o1GOBzyj5ElMUu75
Montel is understanding what drove Robinson to murder in cold blood Charlie Kirk, with some extra understanding and “compassion”.
I have been a “Love torn child”, many reading this and breathing today in America were “Love torn children”, it happens. And some succumb and go over the line and once the line is chosen to be crossed then there will be blood.
There is a line and the Left in America (YOU) go over it and do not even realize the subtle and not so subtle messages you are transmitting.
There is a line, and that is the problem with the Left, your line is long, squiggly and unproperly defined within rational normally accepted parameters.
My reading comprehension is fine.
Cementing my point:
“The largest teachers union in Massachusetts is demanding that school districts back off from disciplining educators who publicly cheered the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.”
In your opinion D. Messier, what message does that send? (You can get this correct if you apply yourself.)
These are the imbedded subversives that are allowed to teach the young children in America.
And what are they teaching?
They are indoctrinators for the radical “Destroy the white man’s Patriarchy” trained for the last 50 years in the halls of “higher” and more informed learning. (Marxists in other words)
That is what you D. Messier support and are about, whether you understand, “comprehend” it or not.
Very related:
HE WROTE WHAT I HAVE BEEN OBSERVING AND THINKING
“Who is Geoffrey Ingersoll? I never heard of the man before, but he has clearly articulated what I (and many others) have been observing, identifying and promoting for many years now. I have cherry picked some of Mr. Ingersoll’s main points, I suggest you read the entire short piece.”
https://www.sigma3ioc.com/post/he-wrote-what-i-have-been-observing-and-thinking
Cotour: D. Messier is merely showing us the evil face of the left. His point, distilled down, is simply that Charlie Kirk deserved to die because of his “bad rhetoric.” The blame cannot fall on the lefty assassin, because he belongs to the sainted left where all claims are righteous and just. Instead, it is Kirk’s fault, for daring to speak his mind and go to campuses to debate.
That this “bad rhetoric” is a lie and a slander does not matter. Messier has clearly never listened to a word by Charlie Kirk, the same as all the leftists who accuse Kirk of this false crime. If he had, he would also admit to the falseness of the claim. Instead, he tries to magnify it.
Kirk was murdered by a leftist because he exercised his first amendment rights. Messier proves he deeply feels this murder was justified.
No, no, you have D. Messier his belief system and his fellow compatriots all wrong.
It is you and me and everyone else who find that Charlie Kirk was murdered live and in living color before 3000 people, his wife and child because of words he spoke are confused.
Its you not them. Remember, words are violence according to the “progressive” Democrat mentality and given that anything can be justified. “By any means necessary”.
(For all sarcasm challenged Liberal, Leftist, “Destroy the white mans Patriarchy” Democrats that was sarcasm)
If not the “white mas” Patriarchy, then what?
Explain it to me.
Oh Bob. Whitewashing Charlie Kirk. And the Proud Boys. Expectations for you are so very, very low. And you keep going lower.
You have these paranoid ideas in your head. Anything you read gets filtered through them and the response is mangled and distorted, accusatory and conspiratorial. I could condemn Kirk’s murder 1 million times, and you’d still claim I’m lying.
Cotour:You have the same problem. Stop trying to explain to me what I’m saying. You have not a clue.
Wow, Robert. You called it. Doug really does show us the evil face of the left. He just does not realize it.
D. Messier
The link you posted just proved you found an article that agreed with your view. Your view of why people hated him does not provide any evidence.
Show me the links to his statements. Show me why they hate him.
I posit that they have no real reason other than he just disagreed with them and out debated them.
As proof that the left runs on emotion and not evidence look up Trey Reed.
The left claims he was lynched and spread that narrative all over the internet. Inside hours thousands of people in line were spreading that lie.
I am tired of people trying to defend the idiot left and then claim they are not part of the left.
If you support them you are them.
“Cotour: You have the same problem. Stop trying to explain to me what I’m saying. You have not a clue.”
So, its “US”, not you? (Thats what she said)
OK, if you say so.
Sit back and enjoy the show.
