The left only has a short window remaining to stop its violence before the hammer strikes it hard
So there is no confusion, my headline is not something I advocate. It is merely what seems inevitable when a law abiding society — America — has within it a subculture (the modern left led by the very corrupt and power-hungry Democratic Party) that thinks it is not only above the law, but its ideology justifies all kinds of violence. To wit, there’s this post today by Guy Benson, nicely summarizing only a small selection of recent leftist violence. I quote it in full, because this is necessary to get the feel of reality:
I’d like to ask my non-conservative followers to pay attention here for a moment. I don’t need a response or a rebuttal or a ‘whatabout.’ Just read on and consider what I’m saying. Please.
We are only a few weeks removed from a leading conservative figure being shot in the throat and killed by a leftist, for and during his speech, at a public speaking event. Stunning, jarring numbers of leftist Americans justified or celebrated this assassination, aligning with multiple public polls showing that a sizable minority of leftists in this country think political violence can be acceptable.
Today — just today — many conservatives are thinking about:
(1) a major leftist statewide candidate being exposed for sending texts to a political opponent (R) explicitly hoping for the death of another conservative political opponent…along with the deaths of that opponents’ young children. He WROTE DOWN that the pain of those deaths might promote his own agenda, which would be worth it, in his estimation. This candidate is now condemning his current conservative opponent for noticing this information.
And also (2) a development in the case of a leftist would-be assassin of a conservative Supreme Court Justice, who traveled across the country, heavily armed, with the stated intent of murdering up to three right-leaning Justices because he was angry about their abortion jurisprudence. The leftist judge in the case rejected prosecutors’ request for a multi-decade sentence, giving the defense team the very lenient sentence they’d sought. The leftist judge, in her reasoning, cited the criminal’s trans identity as a factor & expressed happiness that the assassination plot and its aftermath helped with the criminal’s family therapy around the trans issue. And also (3) yet another violent leftist attack — this time an apparent ambush — against federal immigration officers. This did not take place in Dallas, where a leftist sniper very recently went on a deadly spree while trying to murder as many ICE officers as possible. This one happened in Illinois, where the leftist governor just called these officers “jack booted thugs.” Violent attacks on these federal agents (thugs, fascists, gestapo, per various leading leftist politicians) are up approximately *one thousand percent,* per DHS.
And also (4) a prominent university being pressured into reversing its attempt to shut down a conservative event commemorating the second anniversary of the Oct 7 terrorist massacre of Jews — because, the school said, they were worried about the security situation around the event. They were referring, of course, to the violent Islamist-Leftist coalition pro-Hamas mob, which has engaged in harassment, threats, violence and murder ever since that mass slaughter.
AND YET, we see many of our leftist friends tweeting and posting about how *their opponents* are the “dangerous” and “authoritarian” “fascists.”
I ask you to try to contemplate, even for a quiet moment or two, how this might strike many of us.
That’s all for now. Thank you.

Jay Jones, Democrat running for Virginia
Attorney General. He not only advocated
killing Republicans and their kids, he also
advocated killing some cops also.
For those on the left who wish to make believe none of this is happening, here are the sources for paragraphs #1, #2,
#3, and #4. Nor is Benson’s list even close to complete. For example, it was learned today that Jack Smith, a special council appointed by Biden illegally to hound Trump with charges, used that appointment to spy illegally on eight Republican senators and one House Republican. This on top of the now documented Russian collusion hoax and the Obama administrations documented spying on Trump’s campaign in 2016.
Benson is trying to get those on the left to realize that the patience of the right is clearly beginning to wear out. At some point it will begin responding with force, in a way that the left will not like, at all.
Nor will anyone else in this country who believes in civilization and the rule of law like it either.
We can get an inkling of the terrible things to expect by Trump’s decision this past weekend to ignore a leftist judge and send 300 National Guard troops to Portland to protect its ICE facilities from the constant vandalism and attacks by Antifa mobs. The judge had ruled quite absurdly that the President was not allowed to do this simply because “protests near the ICE processing facility in south Portland were ‘small and uneventful,'” an irrelevant conclusion even if it was true (which it is not). The President always has the right to defend federal property from attack, and no court can stop him.
Trump’s decision to ignore the judge’s ruling however continues us down that slippery slope to no laws at all. The judge (along with all the leftist judges who since Trump took office have been acting as if they ran the executive branch) began that journey. Trump is merely following them down.
Worse, at some point the right is going to begin responding to the left’s illegal violence with its own violence. It has so far refrained from doing so, apparently because the right really does believe in the rule of law, civilization, and our Constitution.
The left quite clearly at this moment no longer does. All it cares about is to oppose any action taken by Donald Trump, no matter how legal or sensible, and to oppose it with increasing violence.
If the left doesn’t back off from this childish, tantrum-like agenda, the right will soon have to respond in kind, if only in self defense. And when that happens, civilization, the rule of law, and our Constitution will go out the window.
Benson is providing the left a warning. It would be rational for the left to heed it and to calm down. Unfortunately, that is not likely to happen. As Winston Churchill wrote after spending pages documenting why it made no sense for the Japanese to attack Pearl Harbor,
Governments and people do not always take rational decisions. Sometimes they take mad decisions, or one set of people get control who compel all others to obey and aid them in their folly. I have not hesitated to record repeatedly my disbelief that Japan would go mad. However sincerely we try to put ourselves in another person’s position, we cannot allow for processes of the human mind and imagination to which reason offers no key.
Right now, I can see no peaceful solution. Hopefully, Trump will continue to wield the power of the federal government according to law, as he has done so far in almost every case.
There is no guarantee of that, however. Politics is unfortunately about the lust for power, and our Founding Fathers gave us the Constitution as a tool to restrain that lust. Increasingly that tool is being ignored, first by the left, but soon I fear by the right as well.
The future feels very grim indeed, should the left continue on its mad irrational path. More and more, it looks like the vultures are out for blood, and nothing will stop them but more blood.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The print edition can be purchased at Amazon or from any other book seller. If you want an autographed copy the price is $60 for the hardback and $45 for the paperback, plus $8 shipping for each. Go here for purchasing details. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

We can only hope and pray that sanity will prevail.
I, too, fear that the Right, or fringe elements on the Right, will eventually strike out in response to the Left’s unending violence.
The Right must restrain itself, as it has to this point. Taking the proverbial “high road”, and acting strictly within the law, would be the best choice for the Right, and for the country. A failure to do this would lead to the sort of chaos and anarchy the Leftists desire, an end to America.

The fact that Jay Jones hasn’t been disavowed and run out of politics is despicable. What claim of defense has he? Just the “D” after the name.
Every day it seems like a new low is reached.
The union will break when enough Jay Joneses are elected. Those people are broken and deranged more than ever, and they will be in power again one day.
It may not be hopeless, Robert. More and more Democrats are seeing the light and pulling Trumps and Musks and leaving the Democrat Party. The Democrats may not have enough followers to be a serious political threat, which would only leave the physical threat that they have resorted to, these. past few years.
It is the enemy within, and the remaining reasonable Democrats are not willing to go as far as the leaders and other extremists. Some Democrat eyes are opening to the threat that their party poses, and they are no longer liking what they see. I think it is happening faster than before, but then, the violent attacks are happening more frequently than before.
California is lost, however. The election process is now set up so that the political party in power cannot lose almost any election. The way the state is mishandled has driven more than a million people from the state, and the future looks dark. California will enter the coming dark age sooner than the rest of the country, and hopefully the rest of the country will wake up and see that the disaster is coming for them, too.
At least the young man after the SCOTUS members had the decency to turn himself in.
Had it been the BATF instead of ICE under threat–I wonder how it would have been covered.
The SCOTUS might just use reverse psychology and say they recognize States Rights in re-affirming the 10th Amendment–maintaining that all governors are no longer bound by any federal law.
Leak it out that the SCOTUS was considering such a ruling depending on whether or not the riots continue.
The streets would be empty.
Edward: It appears at first glance as if you and I have traded positions. Before the election you thought voting no longer made any difference and that we were doomed, and I argued the election could change things.
Post election it appears I was right, even more than I dreamed.
As for now, I am not as pessimistic as my post suggests. I wrote it specifically for the few lefties who still read BtB, in my never-ending effort to make them realize they have allied themselves with a truly evil movement. It is not what they imagine, and they need to recognize that or all will be doomed.
As you note, many are realizing this. At the same time, considering the behavior of the Democrats and their radical contingent in the past year, that the elections in Virginia and New Jersey are still close, and that polls suggest the Democrats will win, says that not as many ordinary Democrats have realized these facts as we wish, or as is necessary.
We still sit on a knife edge.
“The most terrifying force of death comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it.
They know that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. The moment the Men who wanted to be left alone are forced to fight back, it is a form of suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be. Which is why, when forced to take up violence, these Men who wanted to be left alone, fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives.
They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror. TRUE TERROR will arrive at these people’s door, and they will cry, scream, and beg for mercy… but it will fall upon the deaf ears of the Men who just wanted to be left alone!”

James Street: That quote describes Israel to a T since the October 7th Hamas massacre two years ago.
It’s really all up to Trump to prevent the current Civil War from escalating. Trump’s DoJ has displayed impotence so far. Which has allowed Democrat violence to grow but has also forced Republican spines to stiffen.
Either by law or by mayhem the Democrats will get the fight they lust for.
P.S. Hunkering down into defense is what losers do. That’s what Trump’s DoJ has done so far. 100% defense.
James,
I think that was distilled down once
“Beware the anger of a patient man.”
We went through this in the late sixties early seventies when the Weather Underground and others, sponsored by the Soviet Union, tried to spark a revolution that would result in a Marxist America. The vast Silent Majority remained silent because we trusted our institutions to do their duty, and they did. The FBI and local authorities infiltrated their organizations and judges put them away.
We’re here again because, like the Terminator, these Marxist revolutionaries never stop. Do our institutions have the will to do what is required? Or are they as rotten and full of Marxist sympathizers as many Americans suspect? We shall see.
I haven’t read you before but I will again. One of the best comment sections I’ve read.
Thanks
James Street: Wondering where that quote came from as counting myself among the “Men who want to be left Alone” I consider it emotionally reactionary (it’s last paragraph.) Rather I see the reasoned lead to be from Solzhenitsyn, CS Lewis, Lewis Mumford (Pentagon of Power), Orwell, even Camus. Personally I even hold the current US Republican Party somewhat negligent, incompetent, or in just failing to articulate the human dignity of freedom and the psychological misdirection of Leftism; Behind the Black being a welcome antidote.
Incidentally The Myth of the Machine, Lewis Mumford, altho a long read, is tragically underserved.
There are some crazy decisions coming out of Far Left judges, like the one saying Executive Branch cannot use Federal resources to defend Federal personnel and property. Could the Supreme Court issue a ruling effectively stripping such a judge of being able to rule on such issues going forward? A writ allowing the Executive to ignore any ruling by Judge Wackadoodle of Portlandia might be what is needed.
Qt: “Worse, at some point the right is going to begin responding to the left’s illegal violence with its own violence. It has so far refrained from doing so, apparently because the right really does believe in the rule of law, civilization, and our Constitution.”
The rule of law ultimately resides in the sovereign and not in their appointed officers, consuls and magistrates. We would be no less within the law just because a violent reaction to unlawful violence was employed than in a self defense situation. The clause beginning “apparently because…” is misplaced pacifism.
It will be a unique anomoly should pleas for moderation, peaceful dialoge and adherence and respect for democratic processes delivered to violent marxist or Islamists or whatever outlaw group we wish to address should they heed the pleas. That horse has left the barn.
The only thing that I believe will rein in the violent left would be a massive Republican landslide in the 2026 Congressional elections. That would be a wake-up call to the Democrat leadership who would lose the 50:50 country fig leaf.
I fear that will not happen. The Democrat base is fired up and will pull out all stops next year. Their base turnout will be high, and so will their cheating. On the Republican side, too many will think we have won (especially if Trump’s policies start delivering results) and decide to stay home. While independents will continue to drift right, it will be too little for a real Republican blowout.
We will end up with another narrowly divided Congress (albeit one slighting favoring Republicans) and the Democrats will decide that the problem was turning the dial to 11 on a scale of 10 wasn’t enough. If the crank things up further still *next time* it will guarantee victory. If so, things could easily slide to civil war – Bosnian style rather than first US Civil War style.
Joe Walsh put out an album titled “You Can’t Argue With a Sick Mind.” Words to live by these days.
I live in a blue town. There is no legal protection from the leftist rampage.
This is not good.
Perhaps the first thing to acknowledge is that we are actually in the midst of a very real cultural civil war, and the other side, though weakened, is not backing down. As Laura Ingraham observed last night — echoing James Howard Kunstler’s column — the radical Democrats have now gone full Saul Alinsky, and their focus has shifted from trying to rule to something more like the Samson Option,
and shutting down the government clearly indicates just how far they are willing to go.
https://www.kunstler.com/p/standoff
Like Hamas, the Democrats have been bloodied, but they are not giving up. Not by a long shot. The danger, as Robert suggests, is that we will forget our commitment to the Constitution and the Rule of Law at the very time that they are abandoning the facade of being a
“normal” political party that is looking out for the welfare of its constituents and presenting themselves, now, as a socialist revolutionary front. The hope, as expressed in some of the comments, is that conventional Democrats will walk away from this madness, but like the Palestinians in Gaza, the Democrat base in blue states and districts seems incapable of connecting the dots and throwing off the people who so casually use them as human shields and canon fodder.
Looking to history, our situation would seem to be somewhat like that of the United States at the end of the Civil War, and after the victory in 2024, there are still a lot of “unreconstructed” Democrats who still believe in the moral equivalent of slavery and aren’t about to give it up. These people reject the results of the election, just as they reject America’s history, culture, and traditional way of life,
and they wish to have no part of it.
In another analogy, it is though at the end of World War II there were pockets of Nazi sympathizers left in sundry American cities and states* who refused to recognize the Allied victory and subject themselves to American law and institutions. (What would FDR have done?) The people — well, the majority of the electorate, at least — in Portland and Chicago clearly *love* Antifa and everything that it stands for more than the Constitution, and they would rather be living in a place like Canada, if not Cuba if they could.** Likewise, it appears that they will go on happily reelecting radical socialist demagogues from now until the cows come home, and New York City appears poised to do the same.
*Before Pearl Harbor, there was a strong America First movement and the German Bund, but the catalyzing, national character forging events of World War II pretty much obviated their influence in this country. In our present situation, however, we have seen an increasingly fractured — and radically self centered — culture instead, and nobody seems to know how to fix this.
**Could we swap western Washington State and Oregon for the Canadian province of Alberta? Everyone, I think, would be much happier after such an exchange.
Pretty clearly, we are at a Fourth Turning movement in American History, and we are facing a huge — and possibly irreparable — cultural divide. But how do we extricate ourselves from this and go on, if we can, as a untied country / culture / civilization?
DEMOCRATS MUST HAVE VIOLENCE: WILL THERE BE BLOOD?
https://www.sigma3ioc.com/post/democrats-must-have-violence-will-there-be-blood
What is it that the mass of the Democrat party machine in each deep blue Democrat strong hold state and city is pushing in the media to take place? VIOLENCE, BLOOD AND BODIES LYING IN THE STREET! The Democrats MUST have this. If not it, then what?
And why is that?
Because the now politically naked and neutered now Leftist dominated Democrats have nothing else by which to strategically portray Trump in a negative manner and gain political leverage in the media and power back during the coming 2026 political contests.
The Democrats midterm election hopes will not be fulfilled if the Trump MAGA pro-American juggernaut is allowed to continue unchallenged. And the ONLY thing left that may successfully accomplish their now gaining desperation, is the blood of innocent Americans running in the streets. And that is what the Democrats not so shy rhetoric now indicates.
https://www.msn.com/en-in/news/world/what-is-the-insurrection-act-and-can-trump-invoke-it-potus-says-he-may-do-it-if/ar-AA1NYSn1?ocid=BingNewsSerp
The Democrat party’s clearly weak and incompetent Leftist ant-American leadership in their desperation must seek the “NUCLEAR” political option. The flaccid nature of Schumer, Jefferies and many others within brings desperation. And that means radicals in the streets and the blood of innocent men, women and even better, children lying severally wounded or dead on the streets. The Democrats dependent, chronic crime, drug abuse, prostitution and despair ridden cities are prime for this perverted meme fulfillment.
They need the dramatic imagery in order to point the finger of blame to the Right to gain political leverage.
Political warfare is warfare none the less, and what is are the rules in warfare?
THERE ARE NONE!
The pursuit of political / governmental power has nothing to do with truth or morality, that is not the business of politics or government. Truth and morality are the business of the people. See clearly.

There is a lot of ways that this can go should the balloon go up. Good news is that we have been here before, which is also the bad news. My guess is that we will see a return to the Vigilance Committees and the occasional trial in the street. When the public institutions look the other way at mayhem and rampant lawlessness, the general public tends to step up from time to time, going after not only the lawless but the political class and judiciary that enable them.
The left and their Antifa shock troops are trying to trigger another Fort Sumter. At best they will get a Harper’s Ferry. Either way, I expect they will end up with Vigilance Committees, street trials, rope and trees (or lampposts) until the brainwashing poison is washed out of them. And make no mistake, their crazies are completely brainwashed. Happily, brainwashing requires continual reinforcement. Once that is gone, those brainwashed are well on their way to recovery, the first of which will be a debilitating bout with cognitive dissonance.
Message to the left: be very careful what you wish for, as you may get it. Good and hard. Cheers –
People on the left “Why wont conservatives just sit down and talk to us”
People on the right “You guys murdered the last person who tried that”
My wife and I refer to ourselves to people we meet here in NW Wyoming as, “Political and economic refugees from the Soviet Socialist State of America”. It almost always gets a good laugh as they realize that we are being completely accurate.
I grew up in, lived in, worked in, and bought a house in the Heart of the Hive™ of Southwest Minneapolis. As soon as I retired from the rather specialized job that had held us there we left. We had originally intended to just leave the disintegrating city, but realized that the Twin Cities would take the rest of the state down with it when it finally collapses. We left the state with some regret, since it is physically beautiful, but also with the realization that even though the rural areas of the state are solidly Rep-wing they will be subsumed by the teeming masses of collectivists in the major urban areas.
At our age we are dependent on civilization for our life-sustaining medications, and will not survive an upheaval lasting more than a few months that would accompany any form of mass civil disruption. But I don’t see an alternative to it. In my estimation the Dem-wing is now run openly by their Communist extreme, and anyone who still supports it is now equally culpable in the results of its actions.
It was a nice republic while we had it, but the actions of the people in electing collectivists has destroyed it. The 16th and 17th Amendments were the nails in the coffin of the Republic allowing taxes to be collected by the Federal government without any check and mandating direct election of Senators. The country may have had a chance had state legislatures still elected Senators, but reducing it from a process of deliberation among elected officials to pure-quill “democracy” of counting runny noses eliminated that small chance.
I hate to say it, but there’s nothing wrong with Dem-wing run urban centers that can’t be fixed with a couple of dozen 1-megaton weapons. The only thing that they are producing are parasites, of both the government and private stripe.
Fortunately it won’t come to that. They’ve PROVEN that they’ll burn down their own homes and cities all by themselves. All we have to do it let them.
More and more desperate, more and more embarrassing:

This is the highest form of leadership that the Democrat party in America has.
A petulant child and it is embarrassing in the extreme, and it will deliver the Republicans to national political power for the next 23.5 years at least. If they can control themselves and keep their feet out of the own behinds. But compared to the Democrat leader of today that should not be too difficult.
Robert Zimmerman,
You wrote: “Before the election you thought voting no longer made any difference and that we were doomed, and I argued the election could change things.”
I was right, because I said that MY vote would not change things. And it did not. You live in a place where the outcomes are not preordained. At least not yet.
California has a special election coming up in which my vote has a slight chance. Newsom has responded to Texas’s response to the court ruling that Texas was gerrymandered, and he needs our permission to break the law that directs how to redistrict the state. Newsom has announced his intention to gerrymander California in favor of his own party. I may be able to make a difference in this election, but the challenge is that Newsom is making it an anti-Trump election, and California is mostly suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, where the worst possible decisions are seen as acceptable as long as it might hurt Trump maybe.

The Republican Party chose to do what it has always done when the left went farther left: they also moved toward the left in order to pick up voters that the Democrats left behind. It worked with Trump and then Musk, but that is because the Republicans forgot to stop moving so far to the left, filling the huge gap that the Democrats left behind. The Republicans failed to get as many people as they thought, because this time the Democrat voters have finally moved way far to the left with their party. That is why boys can go into the girls’ locker rooms and that boys can be girls, why DIE is seen as reasonable, why massive numbers of illegal aliens are acceptable despite the hardship they put on the citizenry, and why Democrat voters are unable to see that Trump is just as much of a leftist that they had been in the year 2007.

Does anyone remember what ended the entire “Occupy” movement? The group in one city decided to hold a march across a bridge, and it turned out that the same leaders who had called for that march had also placed bombs on the bridge, intending to blame the explosions on the right-wing.
Once the leadership of the movement lost their credibility, the entire nationwide movement ended by sunset of the next day, leaving tons of trash in its wake.
Re: Edward & Occupy
Remember? I’ve been politically online since 9/11 (albeit with varying degrees of care) and I have no idea what you’re talking about, and a quick search indicates that, if true, it’s been fairly solidly memory-holed.
And if such an incident unraveled the movement, it would have had to have been fairly well-known. So, details and, especially, sources seem warranted.
The general consensus at the time, as I recall, was the approach of winter, a crackdown by law enforcement as it became harder and harder to deny the criminality rampant in the Occupy encampments, and just plain boredom because they weren’t very successful at exerting influence.
Equal and opposite.
Peaceable assembly is fine and expected from all sides but as soon as one side tries physical violence they give up their right to peaceable assembly.
This should be reflected in legally jailing those members who use physical violence. We must trust the government do this consistently and legally.
If our government fails either in the Consistent or legal enforcement of our laws then its left to the people to do it in anyway needed and possible.
If the local government fails the state must step in, if the state fails the federal government must step in.
Trump sending in the federal authorities is actually saving those failed governments from the civilians who will eventually, inevitably rise up to replace them with force or enforce the laws themselves.
The conservatives, the right, are trying to let the governments uphold the laws.
If all or at least most of the armed right just break out their arms and starts to patrol their own neighborhoods the left could do nothing about it. They would essentially loose their right to free speech in public places,
Criminals will no longer be arrested by the police but just shot at by the civilian patrols.
Suspected drug dealers homes will just be burned out by hoards of civilians.
The left is protected by the law and the law keepers. Please do not force the civilians to take to arms.
If the police quit and anarchy rules.
The second amendment kicks in and order will be restored by the people.
The second amendment gives the people the power to not just overthrow a bad government but the power to produce a new government from a failed one.

There is also a Tyrus-like former inmate who discovered some “hole-puncher” videos…that a euphemism like “un-alived.”
Apparently not everyone politically online is not as attentive as they thought. The Occupy movement reasserted itself the next spring, until the bomb conspiracy was discovered.

By the way, last night my leftist friends restarted saying that Trump should be killed, if he refuses to die of natural causes. One said it, the other two agreed right away. To them, it was obvious. To them, there is no alarming assassination culture to worry about. To them, this violence is justified. They are among the 55%.
The left is not working to stop the violence. From what I hear elsewhere and from commenters here on BTB, the left seems to be eager for that “short window” to close and for the hammer to strike. They clearly intend to continue blaming the right for whatever response is perpetrated upon them and to continue their “our violence is speech” rhetoric. The left is in full victim mode, right down to the point where they claim to be unfairly blamed for the violence, as they claim the righties are the violent ones and they, the left, are the tolerant ones. Of course, they are especially tolerant of assassinations of right-wing individuals, especially since they feel that it is the right-wing itself causing all of that violence. They deny that their side is the violent side, but they cheer the violence, because for them it is directed in the right direction.
They are hoping for stochastic violence to come soon from the right, then they themselves can emphasize their own point. They are currently in defensive mode, denying the reality. They hope that they can soon move into offensive mode, with a changed reality.
The left wins in all cases. They deny that they are violent, because they are tolerant and violence is the only way anyone hears them, so they win when they are violent. They attack when the right is violent, and of course they win that one. So, now they want the stochastic violence to come from the right, and they will win the big prize and win elections of leftist politicians around the country.
