Today’s blacklisted Americans: Opponents of critical race theory in Virginia subjected to harassment campaign
Are Americans finally waking up?
They’re coming for you next: The parents in Virginia who are putting together a campaign to keep the teaching of the Marxist and racist program called “critical race theory” out of their local schools have been subjected to a harassment campaign that included hate mail, threats, and even slanderous letters sent directly to their employers.
One example cited in the article:
An anti-critical race theory (CRT) activist, Jessica Mendez, says that in June her employer was sent a flyer that called her an “active racist.” “You should be ashamed to employ a known and active racist!” the flyer, obtained by Daily Caller, read. The flyer added, “Yes, what is wrong with her? She’s a racist!!”
It further showed photos of Mendez at various anti-CRT rallies protesting the curriculum of Loudoun County Public Schools. Loudoun County has been at the center of a revolt against the implementation of CRT in school curricula that has spread across the country.
Fortunately it appeared Mendez’s employer was not intimidated by these flyers, and backed her instead.
The article also cites several other examples of threats against these parents, including an effort to assemble a list of the parents and teachers who oppose critical theory in order to get them “silenced” or “terminated.”
Note once again how the supporters of critical race theory debate. They don’t argue on the facts or the substance of their theory. They instead attack personally those who disagree with them, with the express goal of destroying them. Those attacks are also not based on facts, but are slanderous libel.
One would think that if critical race theory was based on any reality, such attacks would be unnecessary, and its supporters could quickly prove their point on its merits. They don’t, and can’t, because this racist philosophy has no rational merit. It is based on racial hatred, a hatred of whites and a desire for power. Such arguments will not carry much weight if argued publicly. Hence, the need to resort to harassment, lies, and slander instead.
The key question is whether Americans will have the courage and fortitude to withstand this onslaught of hate. In Loudoun County it so far appears they have that courage. I pray that Americans throughout the country join with them to fight this new bigotry.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit.
