Bill Clinton yesterday called for the creation of a government agency, either by the U.S or UN, to discredit bad political reporting and quash Internet rumors.

Doesn’t that sound just peachy keen: giving the government the power to correct and control political reporting.

I just bet Bill Clinton dreams that his proposed agency had existed pre-Monica Lewinski. If so, that governement agency could have stepped in to squash any misreporting of presidential pedadillos and to be the final authority on definig speech ( i.e. what the meaning of “is” is) and just what it deemed as proper reporting of sexual relations by those other than the lame stream media. George Orwell would be so proud.

So who determines what is bad political reporting? A politician who finds the truth abhorrent can scream to this agency that it is bad political reporting. Obviously, the ghosts of Nazism haven’t died; Goebbels would be so proud of this Clintonian notion.
