The squealing ain’t just coming from cheese-eating social program advocates: The Defense Department is gearing up to protest proposed cuts in the military budget as outlined by the deficit commission.

Just a nit, but continuing to fly our 30-50 year old craft that the F-35’s and V-22’s were going to replace, is hardly going to save the US any money. Must less keep us able to operate our military against well equiped opponents.

Frankly I still think canceling the F-22 adn keeping teh F-15’s as the prime frount line fighters is nuts.

Also given that $100b a year is laughable with a $1.6T(?) deficit for the year – or the trillion dollar stimulas or obama care bills — could we get serious?
