Newsom’s new lockdown in California triggered by totally normal numbers
The new lockdown edicts by California’s governor and petty dictator, Gavin Newsom, were triggered by numbers that are routine and have been for decades.
When California Governor Gavin Newsom set his 85% ICU capacity “trigger” to automatically start a new round of totalitarian lockdowns, he had zero doubt the number would be reached in December. How? Because that number is reached EVERY December. Knowing this, why wouldn’t he prepare by assisting hospitals across his state to increase ICU capacity?
…In any given year, most parts of California reach 90% ICU capacity in December. This is usually due to the surge in flu cases, but the flu is allegedly non-existent this year, replaced on paper by the more lucrative COVID-19 diagnoses preferred by hospitals. They knew it was coming, which is why they made moves separate from the state to increase ICU capacity.
In other words, the total number of cases in California’s hospitals is actually at this moment below, or at least completely normal. The only difference is that there are no flu cases. Instead, hospitals are claiming they are all COVID-19.
The lockdowns are there for only one purpose: To strike fear into the hearts of ordinary people, and to expand the power of the government, in complete violation of the entire Bill of Rights.

The weather along the Central Coast in California (generally between VAFB and San Francisco) is typically stunning and gorgeous this time of year (savvy folks know to visit Hearst Castle or drive spectacular Highway One Big Sur in November/Dec, when there are fewer people, the air is crisp and sweet, breezes gentle, and temps in the low ’70s). Schoolkids who wallowed in fog instead of sun all summer long in their coastal towns, would have to return to school the same time the fog decided to beat feet. It was frustrating as a kid, I can tell you.
Much of the rest of the country under lockdown at this time of year is going inside like they’d normally do anyway, but it’s a different world here. We live virtually outdoors year-round through our patios, decks, and gardens, some of us, because wecan.
There is ZERO political classification for folks around here who think the lockdowns are stupid and homicidal, they come in all colors, ages, and looks — rednecks to surfers to hippies to button-down collar (Easterners!) types.
This is all and only because of people who refuse to do their own thinking or analyzing, but instead take the lazy easy route, to believe what they read and trust authorities to tell them the truth. It is the ONLY reason they think this virus exists. In a real pandemic, you don’t need anyone to tell you that it’s “going around” and to take care, let alone an idiot bully to calls you a “denier” when you tell him Covid is as big a threat to us as a mouse is to an elephant. Possible danger, but highly unlikely. Elepants, however, are eveidently a lot smarter than Covid believers.

Really, that’s the one and only purpose for the so-called lockdowns that you can imagine, Robert Zimmerman? I expected a greater power of imagination from someone who writes science fiction.
Micha, imagination is critical and has its place in fiction, study, and invention. However, I suggest that Mr. Z is using knowledge and logic to reach his conclusions. The right tool for the right job.

Thew lock downs are just phony political ploys to demonstrate how much the commies can control people, period. Until the voters wake up and rid themselves of ilk like Newscum, it’ll continue and they’ll remain nothing but puppets to the communist government.
