Conscious Choice cover

From the press release: In this ground-breaking new history of early America, historian Robert Zimmerman not only exposes the lie behind The New York Times 1619 Project that falsely claims slavery is central to the history of the United States, he also provides profound lessons about the nature of human societies, lessons important for Americans today as well as for all future settlers on Mars and elsewhere in space.

Conscious Choice: The origins of slavery in America and why it matters today and for our future in outer space, is a riveting page-turning story that documents how slavery slowly became pervasive in the southern British colonies of North America, colonies founded by a people and culture that not only did not allow slavery but in every way were hostile to the practice.
Conscious Choice does more however. In telling the tragic history of the Virginia colony and the rise of slavery there, Zimmerman lays out the proper path for creating healthy societies in places like the Moon and Mars.

“Zimmerman’s ground-breaking history provides every future generation the basic framework for establishing new societies on other worlds. We would be wise to heed what he says.” —Robert Zubrin, founder of founder of the Mars Society.

Police arrest man who destroyed Trump’s sidewalk star

Los Angeles police have arrested the man who used a sledgehammer and pickax to destroy Donald Trump’s sidewalk star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

It is rare that a leftwing or Democratic protester who breaks the law gets arrested. However, when they do, they usually then get off with a mere slap on the wrist. Expect the same here.

A must listen to speech, by Micheal Moore?

Moore makes one of the most pertinent speeches related to our modern American politics and our civilization.

Listen and learn from an unsuspected political commenter why Trump must / will become the next president.

  • Andrew_W

“they usually then get off with a mere slap on the wrist. Expect the same here”.

Well it was only vandalism, and fairly minor in terms of the cost to repair, were you thinking a 5 year prison sentence appropriate?

  • Andrew_W

Cotour, Moore points out that Trump supporters are malcontents who hate the establishment, that they’re people who blow. Wow, this is supposed to be a revelation?

I’ve always had a low opinion of Moore, it hasn’t changed.

  • wayne

(hey) Agree that Michael Moore is a toad and not the best spokesman for DJT. (my words)
(If Moore told me the sky was blue, I’d wonder what scam he was running.)

And I never let an opportunity go by to point out, Moore never lived in Flint, Mi., he’s from Davison, an upscale bedroom suburb 45 minutes N of Flint, and he has a $750K “vacation cabin,” on Torch Lake, near Traverse City, in the northern lower peninsula.

As for the vandal; it’s malicious destruction of property. A Misdemeanor at minimum But— we have Federal “Hate Crime” laws in place, which could be up to 5 years additional, but the DOJ selectively enforces those bizzaro laws, and this guy will go free with minor inconvenience to himself.

  • Cotour

Moore, who is a Liberal, makes a powerful speech and points out how the blue collar in the middle of the country rightfully think and justify how they are more than likely going to vote. He is an unlikely spokes person for Trump but tells it like it is and without spin.

I am not attempting to change anyone’s opinion of him, did I somehow give the impression that I was? Even when Micheal Moore tells the truth, its still the truth. I know that is a foreign concept to a self avowed Leftist / “Libertarian”, but there it is.

  • Cotour

Hers a bit more ridiculous truth Andrew, lets see if you can appreciate it.

  • wayne

Cotour– (hey) (Didn’t think you morphed into a Moore-lover!)

I do understand your point, but will counter-differ. (Andrew_W can speak to own his comment.)

My thing with Moore; he’s not just “Liberal,” he’s a radical whack-job. He’s not speaking on-behalf of people who might be inclined to go DJT. He may or may not be saying factoids which resonate with people & may be “true” in isolation.

But his is a subtle nuanced psychological plea.
He’s painting a total class-warfare narrative, against DJT, and speaking directly to the Dem party-base. (The arrogant know-it-alls who are “better” than the rest of us.)

He wants to scare the hell out of them & push turnout, against Trump.

And just as a parochial aside; Moore paints Michigan as some sort of destroyed working-class-hero thing, that just isn’t an accurate representation of Michigan today, in particular & the hated “fly-over” Midwest. (We have more non auto-related jobs, in manufacturing & professional hi-tech, than ever before. We are hurting, but Moore’s class-warfare stuff… I just reject outright. He knows very well, how to Frame the Narrative.)

anyway… holy cow…what, less than 2 weeks before the big-show. Yow. (seriously, “Yow.”)

  • Cotour

Was crazy, is crazy now, and its going to get crazier.

I think Moore is not playing a reverse psychology strategy I hear his content as understanding how the “blow” brothers see Trump and what the elites are in the process of executing to our politics and the world in general. And their vote is their only real effective counter measure and Trump is really the only one who is talking about or is able to effect any kind of real change.

    And we wait.

This has to be the worst indictment of Hillary, from the grave.

Christopher Hitchens exposes and condemns Hillary and Bill from the grave. Hitchens accurately identifies all of the corruption that is being revealed today through stolen email communications from Hillary and her co conspirators. (He died in December of 2011, I don’t think she had anything to do with it)

More evidence that Hillary Clinton must never be empowered by the people and become the president of the United States. NEVER.

  • wayne

Hitchens had cancer. Was & remain a big fan of his work. He’s my favorite semi reformed-Trotskyite, and an expert on Orwell. (His brother is a prominent Conservative voice in England & they never saw eye-to-eye on a lot of stuff. They debated each other once– great stuff.)

    You would enjoy:
    Christopher Hitchens
“No One Left to Lie To: Bill Clinton” (30 April 1999 C-Span)
Clinton bashing as only the Hitch could perform! He was exposing the Clintons decades ago.

He was a frequent guest on C-Span & they have every appearance archived. YouTube has “everything else,” he was a prolific public speaker.

  • Joe

Wayne, good link for Christopher Hitchens, first time I have seen or heard of this man, too bad he’s not around for this administration, wow, 24 years of the Clintons, and it looks like at least another 4 to add to that, I think Hitchens said of the two Clinton administrations, “eight years of nothingness followed by nastiness”, more to follow.

  • wayne

Hitchens is (was) left of center, a vocal atheist, but a brilliant guy & more of a Classical Liberal than any leftist you’ll encounter. (“semi-reformed Trotskyite.”)
Highly recommend any of his C-Span appearances, of which there are literally scores. Dozens of excellent videos at YouTube as well. He wrote for Vanity Fair, The Nation, etc. and did many speaking gigs and published a number of books. Well educated, excellent debater, master of the English language. Died from throat cancer.
His work on Orwell is amazing. (one of his favorite authors)
As I mentioned, his brother (Peter) is a conservative activist in England and a vocal climate “denier.”

I suspect you might like enjoy this one:
    Christopher Hitchens
“Why Orwell Matters, the Use of Language, Iraq and North Korea” (2002)

“they usually then get off with a mere slap on the wrist. Expect the same here”.

Well it was only vandalism, and fairly minor in terms of the cost to repair, were you thinking a 5 year prison sentence appropriate?

Often times Democrat don’t get any punishment for the violence, vandalism, and intimidation they engage in. Zimmerman isn’t arguing for cruel and unusual punishment, just noting that usually there is zero punishment.

You might not get it because you aren’t American but Democrats have been using violence as political intimidation for well over a hundred years. They used to lynch people and burn down their houses in the recent past. They still use terrorism and beatings.

They dehumanize their political opponents to the point where violence against them is not only accepted but a moral obligation.

  • Cotour

You correctly explain the American political condition, Andrew however is unable to appreciate it because of his Leftist / “Libertarian” filter.
