Conscious Choice cover

From the press release: In this ground-breaking new history of early America, historian Robert Zimmerman not only exposes the lie behind The New York Times 1619 Project that falsely claims slavery is central to the history of the United States, he also provides profound lessons about the nature of human societies, lessons important for Americans today as well as for all future settlers on Mars and elsewhere in space.

Conscious Choice: The origins of slavery in America and why it matters today and for our future in outer space, is a riveting page-turning story that documents how slavery slowly became pervasive in the southern British colonies of North America, colonies founded by a people and culture that not only did not allow slavery but in every way were hostile to the practice.
Conscious Choice does more however. In telling the tragic history of the Virginia colony and the rise of slavery there, Zimmerman lays out the proper path for creating healthy societies in places like the Moon and Mars.

“Zimmerman’s ground-breaking history provides every future generation the basic framework for establishing new societies on other worlds. We would be wise to heed what he says.” —Robert Zubrin, founder of founder of the Mars Society.

“Since when is bigotry a foundation for peace?”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last Friday posted a short video, embedded below, that I think well states what the real obstacle to peace is in the Middle East. And it certainly isn’t the presence of Israelis in the West Bank.

Not surprisingly, his blunt but honest words have caused many on the left and in Arab communities to express outrage. I must note however that, as I have documented, the only governments in the Middle East that forbid the presence of people solely due to their race or religion are the Arab ones, including Palestine.

I do not think that I have ever seen a more upset Muslim than this Muslim.

What is this book The people V Muhammad?

  • Cotour

    Except maybe this Muslim.

I do not know if they are indeed arguing over the book but the captions are hilarious.

  • Andrew_W

For the first video commenters are saying he’s accusing Muhammad Morsi of deep running corruption and of stealing millions of Egypt’s income, nothing to do with religion.

Sadly, most aren’t interested in reality, only in sh!t that supports what they want to believe.

  • Cotour

Re-posted because it needs to be re-posted:

Now we understand why Andrew W can not understand the concepts of the Constitution as evidenced by these two posts:

    1. “I try to use US spelling here, sometimes I use the correct spelling.”

    2. “For the first video commenters are saying he’s accusing Muhammad Morsi of deep running corruption and of stealing millions of Egypt’s income, nothing to do with religion. Sadly, most aren’t interested in reality, only in sh!t that supports what they want to believe.”

    Andrew W speaks fluent Egyption.

Andrew W’s interests are very, very subjective and is a proponent of the forced mixing of these two un-mixable cultures.

When having these conversations I always ask myself “What is my counter parts motivation and why do they believe what they say believe? And, are they representing their own opinions OR are they an operative (paid or other wise) pushing a political agenda for some political organization or government agency (either foreign or domestic) designed to muddy the waters in the various media sites where opinions are shared?

Andrew W, you are unable to understand the foundation concepts of this particular subject “Freedom” that we are involved in. You have been brain washed for your entire life with the political positions that you promote. I said earlier that you were intelligent and thoughtful, and what you have revealed here is that you are very well educated in the doctrine in which you have grown up in and are endeavoring to promote it. I assume that you are a son a a wealthy government official? (Probably schooled in England? Probably not in America because you do not understand the freedoms that you write about)

True Americans that understand the Constitution reject every word that you write about how the world works and what true individual freedom is and what is the strongest way to counter balance the abuse of power that is present in all forms of governance, the Constitution.

  • Cotour

Here, another well educated Muslim wants to “build bridges instead of walls” in funneling the third world existence into the first world existence. Who in the third world would not want the advantages of the first world?

The problem? The 3rd world wants to bring their 14th century belief systems with them into the 1st world of the 21st century which are based on barbarity, oppression, pedophelia, forced service, forced sex, forced religious “beliefs”, beheading, lashing and the extreme hated for pigs and (this may be the worst of all) the hatred of dogs! (for that reason alone they need to be rejected)

And these educated promoters of “equality” want to say that everything is equal and good, it is not.

    I say absolutely NO!

  • ken anthony

he’s accusing Muhammad Morsi … nothing to do with religion.

Andrew, I should believe your delusion and not my lying eyes?

…has lied to us for 1400 years?
    …was a false prophet?
    …rode a flying donkey?
    …had sex with a 9 year old?
    …was god’s messenger?

This Morsi guy should start a religion.

  • Wayne

yowza. I’m surprised those guys weren’t decapitated on live TV by the barbarian’s.
Holy cow… what does Andrew_W do?– instinctively knee-jerk apologize for them.

Andrew_W; I could get you locked-up in a Psych Unit for 72 hours on my signature alone, and I wouldn’t even have to embellish anything.

  • Wayne

Cotour– which video is the parody? (or are they both?)
Looks like an El Jazeera newscast, which means if was true, they killed that guy and his entire family, immediately after they turned the camera’s off.

  • Cotour

Andrew W clear up what the guy in the first video was saying, I will assume that the second was some crazed Islamic TV interview with interesting captions.

Either way, Andrew W has revealed his true bias and agenda, spread the word at all costs, no matter what anyone’s common sense tells them is true or false. Sounds exactly like the Liberal / Leftist / Democrats in our own country (Obama, Hillary).

They are all threats to the civilized Western world, ready to destroy, religion, traditional marriage, the family, free speech, the Constitution, and promote, “white privilege”, “social justice”, “Black Lives Matter”, etc, etc. All in the service of reformulating the world in the borderless, blended global vision. This is no BS.

    And they hate dogs!

  • Cotour

An interaction that demonstrates the difference between the Objective and the Subjective that Andrew W can never understand:

This is our system and what Andrew W is promoting can never, ever be reconciled with it. So his position and what he promotes must be rejected with extreme prejudice.

  • Cotour

Another analogy to try to explain what must never be.

This man raises both Hyena’s and lions, why do you never see him with both together?

    Figure it out.

  • wodun

I do not know if they are indeed arguing over the book but the captions are hilarious.

The problem for me is that I don’t know if the people who made those videos are credible. I don’t speak arabic so I can’t tell for myself. The first video isn’t posted by MEMRI, who I do trust but it is a reposting of one of their videos and it looks like new captions. I guess I could go search MEMRI videos and see but I am a little lazy.

(this may be the worst of all) the hatred of dogs!

I encountered some Muslim immigrants in the park the other day and they had a minor freak out because I was walking my dog. It was unsettling. In the end, it was a mixed reaction. A couple of them were nice and a couple weren’t. I have met other people over the years who were uncomfortable with my dogs, small children who don’t have dogs and some of those weird lefty dog haters.

Dogs have been a part of human culture for 40,000 years. I am not sure what to make of people that dislike dogs. Kids get a pass because they are inexperienced, lefties get ridiculed, but how am I to respond to people who hate my dogs for cultural reasons? Can I treat them like nutjob lefties who hate dogs or am I expected to cater to their prejudice?

  • ken anthony

Dogs don’t like terminators and tribbles don’t like Klingons. We should respect their opinions! ;-)

  • Cotour

Reposted, because it should be reposted:

    Winston Churchill, 1899.

“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.

The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensual-ism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.

No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.”

Sir Winston Churchill; (Source: The River War, first edition, Vol II, pages 248-250 London).

  • Andrew_W

    Cotour:and they hate dogs

As usual you’ve picked up some Islamophobic propaganda some where, and because it suits your bigotry you’ve been sucked in by, repeated it, and haven’t bothered to check its authenticity.

    Plenty of Muslims own dogs.

Cynophobia is a relatively common phobia.

  • wayne

    ken anthony–
-Excellent double hit, on the cultural-references!

–Sorry to hear you were hassled over your dogs in a public-park. And thank you for pointing out the lengthy association Mankind has had with dogs. (well, except for we-all-know-who, eh?!.)

Some folks do have a legitimate fear and/or allergies to, Cats or Dogs, so I would propose we tread lightly, except in a humorous vein! (As always, best to keep one’s animal(s) under control & present them in the best light possible in public, especially to younger kids.)
Anecdotally– what I’ve run across a lot, unpleasant interactions with animals as children. (lets break the cycle!)
Totally off topic; 5-7 pm is the golden-hour for dog-walking in my neighborhood. My (leashed) Cat & I will hang out on the front lawn & watch them go by… (Golden Retriever’s & Shepard’s are very popular in my area &a good 50% also keep a Cat.)

Does anyone actually know, from where the dog-hating comes in islam?

(These Asian countries…. that eat Cat’s, I just don’t get that either. I understand you eat-the-protein-you-can-get, but Tabby-Paw-Pot-Pie is over a line, I’m not willing to accept in America.)
    [I love Cows, they’re delicious!]

    On an infinitely lighter note, but still connected to Israel;
article in the WSJ this week about a small city in Israel that is extremely Dog-friendly and very proud to be so. Sorta the “dog-loving Capital of Israel,” and probably the whole Middle East, what with all the dog-hating going on “over there,”… everywhere except Israel, apparently. (They do spay/neuter stray cats (no-kill) and are quick to say, “we don’t hate Cat’s, we’re just very fond of Dog’s here.”)

I find that to be incredibly ironic & very cool.

(I’m hoping the next President, will hold a State Dinner for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and welcome him to the White House through the front door, this time.)

  • Andrew_W

From where do you people get the impression that Muslims hate dogs?

  • Wayne

Wikipedia… same place you get ALL your factoids, dude.

  • Cotour

Everything you seem to object to appears to be some kind of manipulation, are you ever honest about what Islam actually is? All manipulation all the time, I do not accept it for one minute.

  • Andrew_W

There doesn’t seem to be any clear ruling:

There is a very good reason for being careful with hygiene around dogs, hydatids:
A person who comes in contact with the faeces of an infected dog (that is, when eggs from the tapeworm are passed in the faeces) may develop hydatid disease. This is serious and potentially fatal. Infection with tapeworm eggs causes cysts to form in vital organs such as the liver and lungs.

The hydatids tape worm is not a problem in urban areas as dogs don’t usually have access to raw offal, in rural communities where hydatids has been known, people aware of the disease can be very careful in keeping kids and dogs apart, I’ve seen a livestock agent get in a real flap when a dog has gone up to lick a child, and no, he wasn’t a Muslim, he was just aware of the risk.

  • Andrew_W

I’ve got a couple of comments with links awaiting moderation, there doesn’t seem to be any clear ruling in Islam on dogs. There is a very good reason why rural population in many parts of the world should be careful around dogs though – hydatids, which is not a problem in Western urban environments because the dogs don’t usually have access to raw offal.

  • Wayne

    Holy cow.
    Is it just me?
    — Andrew_W comes across as apologizing-for & explaining-away, damn near everything that goes on in the rest-of-the-world, no matter what it is.

    No matter what, it is.

  • Andrew_W

Yep, I’m no fun, you come up with some justification for your bigotry and I ruin things by pointing out that your bigotry isn’t justified.

  • To my readers again: I want to point out again the corrupt debate techniques that Andrew_W is using, which also happen to be the standard techniques of the left. He seems unable to comprehend the terrible reality that in the past fifteen years since Sept 11, practically all terrorist acts have been committed in the name of Islam, and sadly the number of terrorist acts committed in the name of Islam during that time period now numbers almost 30,000. No other religion, organization, country, or ethnic group during this time period has a record even close to this. We have a problem with modern Islam, today, now, in this time, which many believe is based on the religion’s own philosophy, but even if not, is presently causing the majority of the terrorism worldwide.

Andrew_W doesn’t like the fact that I and my readers point out this reality. So, he does what all leftists and liberals do, he calls us bigoted. To quote him in his previous comment:, “Yep, I’m no fun, you come up with some justification for your bigotry and I ruin things by pointing out that your bigotry isn’t justified.”

We are “bigots”, even though no one hear has expressed hatred for all Muslims, only for the increasingly corrupted religion to which they follow. We are “bigots”, even though I and everyone who disagrees with him keeps showing him ample evidence of the increasingly intolerant nature of modern Islam.

His dishonesty here is majestic. He watches a Hamas MP express outright hate for Israel and Jews, and sees nothing there. He sees a Muslim man call for the murder of Christians, and he sees nothing there. He would probably watch a terrorist yelling “Allahu Akbar!” while using a truck to run down and kill innocent men, women, and children on a French sidewalk and see nothing there. Nothing anyone shows him about the intolerance and madness that is taking over the Muslim world will break through that cone of silence he has placed over his brain. He is either being willfully blind (something that is unfortunately not unusual among many modern Western intellectuals), or he himself approves of the intolerant and hateful language and behavior being increasingly expressed by Muslims, but needs to disguise that approval because it would discredit him to make that approval obvious.

His only response, as is always the only argument the modern bankrupt leftist intellectual really knows how to make, is to call those who disagree with him bigots.

I once again do not note this for Andrew_W’s sake, since he will continue to ignore or dismiss what I write, but to make sure my readers are aware of it.

I will add however that at a certain point, I will no longer tolerate this on my website.

  • Cotour

If I may suggest that Andrew W continue to be allowed to “express” himself here, his writing and positions are the best test of his argument and it does serve a purpose in revealing the illogic or agenda that he and his adherents attest to.

The deeper and more paradoxically expansive his argument grows the weaker it gets and just plain unacceptable it all becomes, its a big Efn dishonest mess of a sucidal argument.

People need to see it and understand it.

  • Wayne

I’ll hit this one last time, ‘cuz I think this was aimed at me:

    Andrew_W wrote:
“Yep, I’m no fun, you come up with some justification for your bigotry and I ruin things by pointing out that your bigotry isn’t justified.”

Then again, what’s the point? I’m just a bigot, a denier, a Conservative, and I don’t know what “progressive” means. Oohhh, “he burned me on the internet,” I’m trembling ‘cuz I’m so stupid.

Andrew_W wants to get banned, and he’ll do it in a blaze of glory (in his mind). Then he can go back to his other blogs and whine about how everyone here is a denier, bigot, conservative, etc., etc.. (or some such rot.)

It’s Constitution Day, September the 17th.

  • Cotour: You might have noticed that I have pretty much abandoned responding to Andrew_W and have instead been noting in detail — for the benefit of everyone else — his dishonest debate tactics. I think, as you say, his presence here “does serve a purpose in revealing the illogic or agenda that he and his adherents attest to.”

At the same time, I only have so much patience. Watching a heckler work a crowd can be educational at first, but sooner or later security needs to come and ask that heckler to sit down in order to allow the show to go on. Otherwise, all you get is the heckler’s perspective.

  • Cotour

Andrew W (and having to have this conversation empowers him to some degree) has been allowed to express his positions and then in time has been handily revealed right here on this web site and he has been revealed to be what he is, an operative attempting to sell his agenda or a misguided pseudo intellectual attempting to justify his “intellectual” BS conclusions about how the world should work.

I think for a while it does serve a purpose as he continues to attempt to sell what he is selling and continues to be revealed (it can only get worse for him). This is exactly what our leadership is attempting to jam down every Americans throat, we have to allow them enough rope to hang themselves.

Your call, but it might be interesting to see how much farther he can take this.

  • Wayne

Finally figured out Andrew-W (although it’s not high on my list of things to do & a true waste of my time)

In my opinion, and what I hear him saying quite a bit, sounds remarkably like that Cenk Uyger guy from the young-turks.

Cenk Uygur Asks Dinesh D’Souza About Racism In America

  • Andrew_W

Wayne, you say you hate progressives, Cenk Uygur argues that the Republican party were progressives when they fought for emancipation, I agree with Cenk Uygur, it was the Democrat party that were acting as the Conservatives in resisting that change. I am using Cenk Uygur’s definition of “progressive”. In favor of change, you’re the one using Dinesh D’Souza’s rationalization of trying to define what specific form of change is supposed to be progressive.

  • Andrew_W

    So, yep we agree.

  • PeterF

Wayne- I really like Dinesh D’Souza. He isn’t afraid to confront self-righteous A-holes like Cenk Uygur. Unfortunately Mr. Uygur has the ministry of truth behind his arguments and no amount of reasoning or logic will ever get him to admit that the term “progressive” was created to replace the word “socialist” because the American people almost universally rejected socialism in favor of the capitalism that even at the beginning of the 20th century was proving to be the worst economic system ever created except for all other economic systems ever tried. – Churchill.
I wonder if Mr. Uygur realizes that the democrat party was founded by Andrew Jackson and his jackasses (where the donkey symbol comes from) and that Andrew Jackson drove the Cherokees off their desirable farmlands via the “Trail of Tears”?

Progressive, socialist leftists think they are skilled at changing the meaning of words (like trying to blur what the meaning of “is” is). But they are only fooling themselves and other useful idiots.

But to get back to the original post… Benjamin Netanyahu is the most intelligent leader yet to surface in the 21st century.

  • Wayne

    yet more great stuff!

Excuse my memory, did you turn me on to Louder With Crowder?
(Just finished watching this weeks show, lots-o-good Young-turk parodies.)

Love Dinesh! (Saw him in person at Hillsdale College a decade ago)
    Pre-conviction Dinesh was always good.
    Post-Conviction Dinesh is great.
He gets it & he’s good at delivering the message.

“Benjamin Netanyahu is the most intelligent leader yet to surface in the 21st century.”

How can anybody forget his UN speech.

As for Islam, how can anybody defend it? BUT MUH HULLY BUUK says it all.

And for some more allah akbar LULZ
