Harrison Butker committing leftist heresy
by simply stating his basic Christian beliefs

They’re coming for you next: This week’s blacklisting kerfuffle centers on a graduation speech given by football player and Super Bowl champ Harrison Butker at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas on May 11, 2024.

It appears a lot of leftists and advocates of the queer agenda didn’t like what he had to say, and are pushing to have the Kansas City Chiefs fire him. A petition at change.org has already collected nearly 200,000 signatures to have the “Kansas City Chiefs management … dismiss Harrison Butker immediately for his inappropriate conduct.” On social media and within the media the outrage was just as sharp. Several tweets on X attempted to dox both Butker and his family, with one (immediately deleted) coming from the office of the mayor of Kansas City.

It got so bad that the NFL disavowed Butker, stating publicly that “his views are not those of the NFL as an organization. The NFL is steadfast in our commitment to inclusion, which only makes our league stronger.”

But what did Butker do that was so terrible? You can find out for yourself by reading the full text of his speech here. I can sum it up however quite simply: Butker, as a devout Catholic, came to a Catholic university to give a commencement speech to a class of fellow Catholics, with the goal of outlining without apologies the basic Bible-based tenets of his religion. Nothing he said was even slightly controversial. Men are men, women are women, and coming together to create an old-fashioned nuclear family with the express goal of raising children properly is a laudable and very Judeo-Christian thing to do. We each have our place in the greater scheme of life, and none of us should be afraid to live that life even if general society condemns you for it.

In making his speech Butker also criticized a number of politicians and higher Catholic officials for not defending those basic values, but he did so somewhat gently, without naming names.

In other words, Butker exercized his First Amendment rights. He has the freedom in America to follow and even advocate those beliefs, though in this case he wasn’t saying anything to any outsiders, but within his own community.

The effort to get him silenced and fired has therefore been most instructive. It has once again revealed to all the true nature of those on the left: they are intolerant, they are hateful, and they are thugs and goons eager to unleash their power on anyone who dares oppose them.

To leftists, freedom is a curse word. So what Butker was speaking within his own community. So what he was only restating some basic religious teachings that have been considered foundational by western civilization for more than two thousand years. So what he was only trying to guide the young people who wished to live that Catholic life.

What mattered to the left was that Butker was daring to say things it didn’t like. Such diversity of opinion cannot be tolerated, so of course we immediately have almost 200,000 people signing a petition to get Butker cancelled.

the inhabitants thereof.” Photo credit: William Zhang

Fortunately, there are also a lot of people in America who still believe in freedom and the foundational concept of the nuclear family. Very quickly a second petition in support of Butker was launched. Very quickly his jersey has become a best seller, for both men and women.

Whether Butker’s career survives in the NFL remains unknown. If the league decides to punish him for his very reasonable speech it is very likely it will be the league that will suffer the most. The general public is increasingly making it very clear it will no longer look the other way when corporations decide to do bad things. Just ask Bud Light, Gillette, and Disney.

Butker meanwhile seems a very solid person who knows where he stands. And when you know where you stand, it makes it very easy to move forward no matter what obstacles are put in your way.

Blacklists are back and the Democrats have got ’em: A poll released this week by the Pew Research Center has starkly revealed the dark oppressive mentality that now dominates supporters of the Democratic Party, and makes possible the enthusiasm for blacklisting and censorship by its leadership.

The graph to the right shows the big take-away from the poll, as indicated by the arrows and the red box. Democrats now favor censorship by 70 to 28 percent, a major rise since 2018, when their attitude towards free speech was almost identical to Republicans. Since then, while Republican support for the First Amendment and freedom has remained largely stable and strong, Democrats have almost entirely abandoned these American ideals. As Pew notes:

There was virtually no difference between the parties in 2018, but the share of Democrats who support government intervention has grown from 40% in 2018 to 70% in 2023, while the share of Republicans who hold this view hasn’t changed much.

There is a similar gap between the shares of Democrats and Republicans who say technology companies should restrict false information online. A large majority of Democrats and Democratic leaners (81%) support technology companies taking such steps, while about half of Republicans (48%) say the same. The share of Democrats who support technology companies taking these steps has also increased steadily since 2018.

These partisan gaps persist when it comes to restricting extremely violent content online. Democrats are more likely than Republicans to say that the U.S. government (71% vs. 48%, respectively) and tech companies (83% vs. 61%) should take steps to restrict violent content online even if it limits freedom of information.

I must add that this is not a poll of the politicians of the Democratic Party. It is a poll of that party’s supporters, its rank and file, its grass roots. And though the poll showed a rise in the willingness to censor across all age groups, the cause of that rise is clearly coming from Democrats. As noted by Alex Berenson,

The left – the entire left, readers and writers, consumers and producers of information -is clearly losing confidence in the First Amendment, telling itself a tale of the dangers of too much speech, and trying to wall off opinions and even facts it does not like.

And those of us who hoped the end of Covid and the manifest failure of the mRNAs would spell an end to censorship, or at least a serious rethinking of its pros and cons, appear to have been sadly mistaken.

The Democratic Party now a party of oppression, tyranny, and censorship. Nor should anyone expect it to change, as it derives its strength not merely from the power it holds in government, but from the enthusiastic support of its followers. They are no longer Americans, but communist fascists, eager to stamp their boots into the face of anyone who disagrees with them.

I am not noting this harsh fact so bluntly in order to inspire hatred of Democrats, but to educate Americans of the real threat these people and their party now represent. They are dangerous. Be careful what you say to them. Be prepared for battle, but don’t run from it. Do what country singer Jason Aldean has done when these censorship kings tried to cancel him for writing a song that simply notes that America’s small down culture will not tolerate rioting and looting: Stand tall and refuse to back down. As he said in this first concert after the left attempted to blacklist him:

“You guys know how it is, in this day and age, cancel culture is a thing. That’s something that if people don’t like what you say they try to make sure they can cancel you, which means try to ruin your life, ruin everything. One thing I saw this week was a bunch of country music fans that can see through a lot of the [%@#$&]. I saw country music fans rally like I’ve never seen before and it was pretty badass, I gotta say. Thank you guys so much.”

More people have to do the same. Democrats want to silence us, but they can only do so we consent to it. Don’t consent. Tell them to go to hell.

Nor will you be doing anything but speaking the truth, since by their tyrannical behavior they certainly will do so.

How the modern Democratic Party has evolved madly to the left

When the parental rights organization Moms for Liberty arranged to have their annual 2023 summit in the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia beginning today, six Democrats from the Pennsylvania state senate immediately proved to the world that Democrats no longer believe in free speech, and in fact make their number one principle oppression and censorship, by writing a joint letter demanding the museum cancel the event.

These Democrats also proved that their method for silencing also includes routine slanders and libels, based on zero evidence. As their letter concluded:

“The museum’s leadership has demonstrated a lack of judgment in agreeing to host a hate group. Fortunately, the mistake can be fixed with a simple and elegant solution: cancel the Moms for Liberty event scheduled for June 29. We look forward to your prompt actions,”

The letter also implied Moms for Liberty was associated with white supremacy, and used as its only evidence for these slanders the fact that the leftist Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) decided to add Moms to its hate list, a list that has been repeatedly proven to simply rank any opponent of the Democratic Party a “hater”, essentially for opposing the Democratic Party.

The Museum rejected this dictatorial demand most heartily.

“The Museum of the American Revolution strives to create an inclusive and accessible museum experience for visitors with a wide range of viewpoints and beliefs,” the spokesperson said. “Consistent with this mission, we make available after-hours and private rentals to groups that organize legally and safely, including federally recognized 501(c)(4) nonprofit organizations. Because fostering understanding within a democratic society is so central to our mission, rejecting visitors on the basis of ideology would in fact be antithetical to our purpose.”

Museum officials also noted that despite the desire of some of its own staff to silence Moms as well, it would not back down. Instead it will support that staff “…by listening with intention, making sure they know they are valued, and accommodating them when the event date arrives those staff members.”

In other words, deal with it. Freedom of speech means freedom of speech for everyone, not just you.

Nor were these Democratic Party politicians and the museum’s staff the only fascists in the room. The American Historical Association also sent a letter urging the museum to cancel. The association accused Moms for Liberty of attempting “to silence and harass teachers,” and claimed the organization’s “mission is to obstruct the professional responsibilities of historians.” Similarly, other leftists put together a petition to pressure the local Marriot Hotel to cancel its contract with Moms. Almost 30,000 leftist fascists have now signed that petition, also telling us who they are and what they believe in.

Fortunately, the hotel has also stood firm for freedom and the first amendment, and refused to cancel the contract.

What these thugs really don’t like about Moms for Liberty is its non-wavering stance against pornography and critical race theory in classrooms. The Democrats and these teachers and historians want the ability to indoctrinate children, against their parents’ wishes, and Moms is determined to fight this without compromise. A search for “school boards” in my full list of blacklist stories in the past three years will find Moms for Liberty appearing repeatedly in this fight, with frequent success. The videos at this link show their members speaking before many school boards in opposition to the queer agenda, mask policies, and critical race theory.

Not surprisingly, Moms for Liberty officials have noted that — having failed to get the event canceled — leftists are now turning to threats, forcing Moms to increase its security arrangements, at great cost.

Thus, we find that Democrats and their leftists allies not only oppose free speech and free debate, they appear to be willing to enforce this opposition with violence.

To sum up, Democrats and its political allies oppose the Bill of Rights and free speech, are willing to use force and power to squelch those rights.

If you still vote for Democrats you are now telling us the kind of person you are.

Jason Brodeur: Republican politician in love with
restricting free speech

They’re coming for you next: The desire of people in our culture today to control and regulate the behavior of everyone else is not a partisan thing. Though the Democrats and their leftist allies have certainly led the way in blacklisting, censoring, and destroying anyone who disagrees with them, Republican politicians are just as likely to try to use their power to squelch opposition, and should never be trusted either.

Today we have a perfect example of this non-partisan lust for power. On March 7, 2023, Florida Republican state senator Jason Brodeur introduced a bill that would amend state law to require all websites to register with the government if they made any money reporting on government actions.

You can read the bill here. The underlined portions are the sections that Brodeur wishes to add to the law. The key paragraphs state the following:

If a blogger posts to a blog about an elected state officer and receives, or will receive, compensation for that post, the blogger must register with the appropriate office, as identified in paragraph (1)(f), within 5 days after the first post by the blogger which mentions an elected state officer.

Upon registering with the appropriate office, a blogger must file monthly reports on the 10th day following the end of each calendar month from the time a blog post is added to the blog.

The reports must reveal in detail the income the blogger obtained for any posts. If the blogger fails to provide this report on time he or she will be fined $25 per day per report for each day late, not to exceed $2,500 per report. This new rule only applies to the websites of bloggers, not newspaper or media websites.

The language of the bill, as well as statements by Brodeur, show that he thinks all bloggers are paid lobbyists, which he believes the state legislature has the right to regulate and control. Not only is he stupidly wrong, he is legally wrong. This law is unconstitutional on its face, violating the federal Constitution and its First Amendment as well as section 5 of Florida’s Constitution, which states unequivocally that:

Every person may speak, write and publish sentiments on all subjects but shall be responsible for the abuse of that right. No law shall be passed to restrain or abridge the liberty of speech or of the press. [emphasis mine]

The law also violates section 16 (paragraph 2) of the state Constitution, which guarantees the right of every Florida citizen “…to be free from intimidation, harassment, and abuse.” Brodeur’s law is clearly designed to squelch free speech, to intimidate free bloggers from writing whatever they want, regardless of how they make money from that writing.

Even if Brodeur was right in his claim that some blog posts are simply paid lobbying for specific issues or candidates, so what? His attempt to register such action is still an infringement of free speech and an attempt to intimidate. How can speech be “free” if you will be fined for not doing it exactly as the government dictates?

Not surprisingly, the left immediately latched onto this law as proof that the Republicans in Florida, led by Governor Ron DeSantis, are fascists who want to shut down free speech. And who can argue with them? They are right, except that the left will also refuse to see any of the innumerable examples of their own side smashing its boot into the face of others.

By definition, all politicians run for office because they desire power, and once obtained will quickly do whatever it takes to retain it. Since World War II Americans have forgotten this simple lesson, and have too often ceded power to the power-hungry. The result is our society today, where the rights of ordinary people is routinely squelched to satisfy the lust for control of those in power.

The user manual for the modern generation

The modern dark age: Old-fashioned Americans, who believe in free speech and tolerance, often assume that the spate of cruel blacklisting stories that now dominate our society are merely the actions of a few isolated individuals who have happened to gain a position of power and are abusing it.

This assumption could not be more wrong. We are entering a future where blacklisting, censorship, and the abuse of power will become the norm, because apparently the new generation thinks such things are always justified, if they have been offended in any way. From a recent poll of 2,000 students at 130 colleges:

In one eye-opening finding, 74 percent of undergrads endorse the view that a professor who says “something that students find offensive” should be reported to the university. By a majority almost as lopsided, 65 percent believe that a fellow student who says something they consider offensive should be turned in. That informers’ mindset is especially pronounced among students who identify themselves as politically liberal, fully 85 percent of whom would report a professor who offends them. But even among self-identified conservatives, a solid majority, 56 percent, are of the same mindset. [emphasis in original]

None of this unfortunately is breaking news. In 2017 — five years ago — FIRE (then called the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education but has since changed its name to the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression because it found the problem of censorship to have expanded beyond colleges) produced a video report describing the hostility to free speech at Tufts University, with this quote summing up what was learned.

The climate at Tufts embodies several trends FIRE has seen growing in recent years. There is a shift away from the heavy-handed administrators posing the biggest threat to free speech on campus. Now the loudest calls for censorship are coming from the students themselves. … And in some cases like we saw first hand at Tufts, students are equating offensive or uncomfortable speech with violence. [emphasis mine]

Back in 2017 the evidence was clear. New students were coming into colleges already convinced that free speech was wrong and that they had the right to blackball and censor anyone for saying anything they did not like. The indoctrination in the public schools by the left, now a big issue from parents but long ignored by them for decades, had apparently succeeded in producing a new generation of eager brownshirts.

Today’s strong pushback by parents against elementary school indoctrination and the introduction of the queer sexual agenda is gratifying, but it appears it is happened too late. Parents are attempting to close the gate after the animals have already escaped. Their kids no longer believe in freedom, are well trained to push hard-nose radical ideas, and worst of all, are willing to team up as mobs to destroy anyone who challenges them.

The battle for freedom and individual rights is not over, but we can no longer assume that the American citizenry of the future will be its standard bearer. Freedom-lovers worldwide must recognize this, because the first step in winning any battle is to know one’s enemy.

The goal of Democrats everywhere

Blacklists are back and the Democrats have got ’em: Because a bunch of local Aspen, Colorado, politicians dislike how the Aspen Times has been covering one story, they wrote a letter to that newspaper demanding it change its coverage and hire their preferred journalists or they would use their power to silence it.

From their letter, written to Robert Nutting, CEO of Ogden Newspapers which owns the Aspen Times:

Our faith in Ogden Newspapers is shattered and we are individually considering separate reactions as a result, including: directing our individual organizations to pull advertisements and notices from the paper; encouraging local businesses to do the same; refusing interviews with reporters at the Aspen Times; or calling for a community boycott of the paper.

To reinstate our trust in the Aspen Times, we would like to see clear action from Ogden Newspapers such as the following: reinstatement of Andrew Travers as the Editor in Chief; re-publication of Marolt’s June 10 column; a joint statement from Travers, Allison Pattillo, the publisher of the Times, and yourself, detailing the editorial freedom and standards of transparency that will be carried forward; and, public clarity about the settlement that was reached by Doronin’s lawsuit.

The subject of the dispute is somewhat complicated. The Aspen Times was only recently purchased by Odgen, a family-owned operation which appears to be mostly Republican in make-up. At the same time it is being sued by local businessman Vladislav Doronin for defamation because one of its articles suggested that he was working in league with Vladimir Putin. Travers was fired because the June 10th column discussed this lawsuit, after the new owners told the staff to refrain from any coverage of the story until the litigation was over.

This quote I think best summarizes the faction attacking the Aspen Times:

The letter-signers include all five county commissioners, the mayor and a former mayor, numerous city councilmen from Aspen, Snowmass and nearby Basalt, and the challenger to the Republican representative for the Congressional District that includes Aspen. Every single one is a Democrat, as are over 70% of Aspen residents.

For politicians to criticize a newspaper’s coverage is one thing. For them to use their positions of power in government to threaten that newspaper is quite another. It is not only a violation of the First Amendment, it is an totalitarian abuse of power that is fundamentally immoral.

That these politicians are all Democrats and the new owners of the newspaper are Republicans also suggests these goons want to destroy the newspaper not because of this particular story but because the newspaper might not be in their pocket. It might actually cover their actions honestly rather than covering up their bad behavior, as most leftists media outlets nationwide routinely do. Such reporting must be silenced!

This attempt at repression is also par for the course for today’s Democratic Party. If you do not kow-tow to its political will it will organize to silence and destroy you. Sadly, it is quite likely that the voters in Aspen will enthusiastically agree with this intolerant attempt at censorship. Ordinary Democrats no longer believe in free speech and open debate. Instead, they endorse blacklisting and oppression. And increasingly they do it with eagerness and glee.

The apparent goal of Amazon’s woke employees

Persecution is now cool! Hundreds of Amazon employees have apparently signed a company-wide open letter demanding that the company immediately blacklist everyone who is anti-abortion while also blackballing every state that passes anti-abortion laws.

“As part of Amazon’s wide-reaching efforts toward a more inclusive and diverse workforce, we believe that Amazon cannot let this recent decision go unanswered,” the letter said. “We ask Amazon, the world’s best employer, to actively defend against this assault on our liberty.”

Among other actions, the authors are requesting that Amazon “allow employees of all genders the space and time to grieve, express their frustrations, and protest against this assault on our rights.” In addition, they want the company to “donate and match donations to bail funds” to help “women and pregnant people” seeking abortions in states with protections for pre-born babies.

It also demanded Amazon organize pro-abortion protests and donate money to the political organizations the letter signatories endorse.

Essentially, the letter calls for Amazon to focus its business entirely on leftwing political action rather than its central purpose of providing retail products to its customers. That such actions will cost the company money and possibly harm its profit line apparently does not matter to these employees.

The letter however went much farther. The cropped image from the letter below shows this:

Click for full letter.
I have underlined in red the pertinent text. These Amazon employees want the company to ban any products produced by any company or individual who expresses any opinions they disagree with. Only those who agree with them will be allowed to sell products on Amazon. If you are against abortion to prison you will go!

These employees also want Amazon to move its business operations entirely from any state that apparently puts any limits on abortions, in any manner whatsoever. As noted at the link, “Though Democrat-run California boasts more than 170,000 Amazon employees, Republican-run states Texas and Florida have 95,000 and 59,000 Amazon employees, respectively.” To do as these Amazonsocial justice warriors insist will not only cost Amazon a lot of money and involve a lot of financial risk, it would put thousands out of work.

The point of this story is not to argue the pros or cons of abortion. That subject will now rightly be debated and determined by the elected representatives in the fifty state legislatures across the country.

My point is to illustrate the authoritarian and oppressive mindset of the leftist pro-abortion crowd. They don’t wish to debate anyone. You disagree with them, and they demand the power to destroy you. Period.

Considering that they favor almost blindly the right to murder the preborn, it makes one wonder what they would do if they had more power. Such certainty in the face of a very uncertain and difficult political issue can only lead to violence, hate, and murder, especially if your position is arguing for a certain level of violence to begin with.

Bring a gun to a knife fight: When in December 2021, the University of Houston changed its anti-discrimination policy, broadening the definition so widely that almost anything anyone said could be defined as harassment, three conservative students obtained the help of the first amendment organization Speech First and sued. From their lawsuit [pdf]:

The Policy’s “[e]xamples of harassment” make clear that the Policy covers protected speech. Examples of harassment “include but are not limited to: epithets or slurs, negative stereotyping, threatening, intimidating, or hostile acts, denigrating jokes and display or circulation (including through email or virtual platforms) of written or graphic material in the learning, living, or working environment.”

Under the Policy, even “[m]inor verbal and nonverbal slights, snubs, annoyances, insults, or isolated incidents including, but not limited to microaggressions,” can constitute harassment if “such incidents keep happening over time and are targeting a Protected Class.” The Policy warns that “academic freedom and freedom of expression will not excuse behavior that constitutes a violation of the law or this Policy.” [emphasis mine]

In other words, according to the highlighted quote, the university’s anti-discrimination policy attempted to overide the First Amendment to the Constitution.

This absurd illegal position of course could not stand, and the school’s administrators, who by the way were named in the lawsuit, quickly settled the case on June 10, 2022, rewriting the anti-discrimination policy to actually — my heart be still! — allow for free speech.

Under the settlement, reached June 10, the university’s policy no longer defines harassment as creating an “intimidating, hostile, or offensive educational environment.”

The policy as now written [pdf] focuses almost entirely on actions that actually cause harm to an individual, such as the loss of a job or promotion or educational opportunity.

Even with this victory, the policy has many potential loopholes for those that want to use it to silence others.
For example, the policy still forbids slurs and insults, which are also protected speech under the First Amendment. However, the policy also makes it clear that the larger context of any complaint will be reviewed before any action is taken.

Harassment from both a subjective and objective perspective. In determining whether Discrimination or Harassment has occurred, the university will examine the context, nature, scope, frequency, duration, and location of incidents, as well as the relationships of the individuals involved, and apply the appropriate standard according to the applicable complaint resolution procedures.

These rules should discourage abuse, though it will certainly not eliminate it, especially if the school’s administrators are in sympathy with the abusers and want to silence opposing speech.

Nonetheless, the quick settlement of this case in favor of the conservative students indicates that the university realized it was in violation of the law, and thus liable for any actions it took based on its illegal oppressive anti-discrimination policy.

The settlement also proves once again that if freedom-loving individuals have the courage to fight, they will win. More people need to do the same.

Some neighbors in a subdivision near Etna are making a statement after a resident was told to take down his “thin blue line flag” by the Homeowner’s Association. The HOA told him to remove it, calling it a political statement.

“I applaud them for it and it’s growing. You see more flags out every few days, you see a few more flags and blue light bulbs,” said Kathy Riddle, neighbor.

More and more neighbors in Cumberland Crossing are mounting thin blue line flags outside their homes. “We wanted to show respect for our neighbor. And we appreciate the service that his family member gave,” said Riddle.

It appears that the HOA demanded the flag’s removal after one complaint, and claimed the reason for doing so was simply because “It is a political statement.” The image below shows the text from the HOA letter, clearly indicating that its reasons for demanding the flag’s removal was an attempt by the HOA to ban political speech.

Click for full letter.

The flag itself had been a gift from the police at the funeral for DiSaro’s son.

The letter arrived in conjunction with an ugly incident at DiSario’s home, where an unidentified man trespassed and attempted to remove the flag.

On Saturday [May 14th], Thomas DiSario, a disabled veteran who needs oxygen after being exposed to sarin gas during Operation Desert Storm, found a person on his property taking down the Thin Blue Line flag and the American flag that flies above it.

“I had a gentleman come in my yard, lower the flags, and [he] wiped his face on them,” DiSario said. “I, in turn, asked him to leave. He would not, and I put him out of my yard. He came back … sat on my rock, then he proceeded to get up and take the flags down again, and I stopped him and put him out of my yard.”

DiSario eventually called the Licking County Sheriff’s Office. The deputy who responded said neighbors also saw the man and helped to describe him, but the deputy was unable to locate him. [emphasis mine]

Two days later, DiSario received the HOA’s letter. Though the HOA said it was not connected with the man who attempted to remove the flag, its letter was dated May 13, 2022, the day before that incident happened. Apparently, that man knew the letter had been written, and decided to take action on his own, and while doing so also express his contempt not only for DiSario’s dead son but for the American flag itself.

The HOA meanwhile has tried to justify its actions by claiming its rules forbid political signs in front of homes. Or to put it another way, joining this HOA means you cancel your first amendment rights to free speech.

Obviously, those HOA rules were originally intended to prevent some homes from being plastered with many ugly political signs and banners. Now however they have been twisted to ban any political statement, all because a single person might complain.

Note too that this story is not unique. A simple web search comes up with numerous other stories (in Florida, South Carolina, Colorado, Texas and elsewhere) where HOA’s have attempted to ban the thin blue line flag. It appears HOA officials and others no longer honor the first amendment or free speech, and are using their power to silence it.

The response of the neighbors in Cumberland Crossing however is the right answer: More speech. Don’t comply. Don’t bow. Stand strong and increase the protest. As noted in the first link above:

The Cumberland Cross HOA is stuck – do they wish to fine every person on Mr. DiSario’s street and cause an even greater controversy? We’ll see. They are already the bad guys in this controversy. We’ll see how well they do with the continued publicity.

I strongly suspect the HOA will soon back down.

What the left really wants: To burn Christians at the stake.

Genocide is coming to America: Four churches in Olympia, Washington, were vandalized during the May 21st weekend by Puget Sound Anarchists, a pro-abortion group that makes believe it is anti-authoritarian but is willing to commit violence against anyone who dares to express an opinion it does not like.

From an anonymous post on May 22nd on their own website:

A Mormon church, Calvary church, Harbor Church, and St. Michael’s Catholic church all received facelifts in the early hours of Sunday morning. We dumped red paint over the entryways and left messages of “If abortions aren’t safe then neither are you,” “Abort the church,” and “God loves abortion.”

…While a little graffiti may be a small gesture in the war against patriarchal religious control, we wish to highlight that it’s easy and fun to attack. Our enemies are vulnerable and easy to find. [emphasis mine]

In another post from July 2021, this group proudly takes credit for destroying and damaging a garage full of police cars, adding

Be bold! Sabotage is fun!

In another post on April 24, 2022, the group celebrates vandalizing a bank ATM machine.

We fed the machine brake fluid, filled its mouths with spray foam. It was easy. May Day is right around the corner. If you can’t get out to the yintah, we encourage you to fight where you stand. Long live Anarchy!

The mention of May Day proves that this self-described “anarchist” group is linked with the left and Marxism, a link that is routinely found to be the case with such radicals. A closer look at the literature on their webpage reinforces this. It also shows their support for the bigotry of critical race theory, where people are ranked merely by their race, with some deserving extra rights and others oppression.

What these goons are telling us, in plain language, is that they have no intention of accepting the rule of law, should any ruling go against their agenda. Even should the Supreme Court overrule Roe v. Wade, all that will mean is that the legality of abortions will be determined by state legislatures, not a nine-person unelected court in the District of Columbia. Though abortions will still be allowed in Washington state, along with at least twenty other states, this won’t be good enough for Puget Sound Anarchists. Rather than work within the law to make all states allow abortion, as they believe, they instead enthusiastically advocate violence and physical harm against their opponents, even in states where abortion is allowed.

As has been noted repeatedly in the past six years, for these leftists their violence is considered speech and must be permitted, while any speech by their opponents is violence and must be silenced. And increasingly these brown-shirts are teaming up with Democrats in positions of authority to enforce this mantra, nationwide.

And the Democrats — who control all levels of government in Washington state — appear quite eager to help! Though the Puget Sound Anarchist website provides direct evidence that it is helping to organize violence and vandalism in the Pacific northwest — and has been doing so for years — there has been no local government action. No one has been arrested, no investigations have occurred, and no subpoenas issued against the people operating the site. I strongly suspect these storm-troopers could even kill someone, proudly brag about on their site, and the Democrats in Washington state would merely shrug their shoulders and do nothing.

But then, this is what the voters in Washington state have voted for, time and again for decades, in election after election. And they will get even greater horrors soon if they don’t wake up and kick out of power the thugs who is now running their state.

Twitter: Home for censorship.

The new dark age of silencing: Twitter yesterday suspended for twelve hours the account of “Libs of Tik Tok,” preventing the anonymous woman who runs it from continuing to post actual Tik Tok rants by leftists as well as the public school teachers who insist on promoting sexual perversion to children (but then I repeat myself).

The account was suspended for “hateful conduct,” which is a broad and vague category used by Twitter to suspend accounts that violate a policy that is equally broad and vague.

The policy says that “You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.”

So what specifically was Libs of Tik Tok’s “hateful conduct?” We do not know, since Twitter as usual did not provide any specific information. However, Libs of Tik Tok has been in the forefront of making the public especially aware of the large number of very sick and dangerous people who now teach in the public schools. And she does this with very little commentary. Instead, she simply digs about in Tik Tok and finds their own rants, and simply republishes them on Twitter. As they tend to be ugly hateful screes that actually promote the idea of perverting young children without the knowledge of their parents, no commentary is needed. They condemn themselves. More important, their own words have done much to energize parents nationwide to retake school boards and force such evil people from the schools.

If you don’t believe me just take a look at the site. Right now there are several such rants from leftist teachers, insisting that parents should have no say in what the schools teach their young children.

Of course, the leftists who run Twitter cannot have this, since they are allied with these corrupt teachers. Too much free speech reveals their agenda, and that is a threat. So yesterday Libs of Tik Tok was shut down temporarily, though you can bet this is only a shot across the bow. As Libs of Tik Tok has previous written:

It’s a matter of time before I get suspended. Never know which post will be my last. If you want to make sure you keep receiving my content, go to the link under my bio and sign up for my email list. I’ll publish some exclusive stuff for email subs, too. Thanks for your support!

Yesterday Twitter finally sent that warning shot. Give the thugs that run that company another month or so, and I am certain Libs of Tik Tok will be shut down, simply for republishing for all to see the actual perverse leftist agenda being promoted in the public schools.

In other news yesterday that is directly related, Elon Musk announced an offer to buy Twitter for about $43 billion, for the express purpose of ending its censorship policies. From his filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC):

I invested in Twitter as I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe, and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy.

However, since making my investment I now realize the company will neither thrive nor serve this societal imperative in its current form. Twitter needs to be transformed as a private company.

As a result, I am offering to buy 100% of Twitter for $54.20 per share in cash, a 54% premium over the day before I began investing in Twitter and a 38% premium over the day before my investment was publicly announced. My offer is my best and final offer and if it is not accepted, I would need to reconsider my position as a shareholder.

As expected, the leftists in the media and in Twitter are not happy about Musk’s offer. CNN immediately published this article outlining what may happen, focused entirely in describing ways in which Musk can be blocked. Furthermore, this tweet indicated the resistance from within Twitter:

Billionaire Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, who runs the investment firm Kingdom Holding Company in Saudi Arabia, another large Twitter shareholder [at about 5.2%], tweeted Thursday that the offer doesn’t “come close to the intrinsic value of @Twitter given its growth prospects … I reject this offer.”

Despite the dirty financial politics of this potentially hostile takeover, the root of the battle is clearly Twitter’s policy of censoring conservatives or anyone who opposes the political agenda of the left, such as Libs of Tik Tok or many legitimate Republican politicians. Only Democrats and communists (like China) get a free ride.

It appears Musk is now leading the pushback against Twitter’s enthusiastic embrace of silencing and censorship. We can only pray he succeeds.

Adam Andrzejewski, journalist banned for doing good
journalism

The new dark age of silencing: Adam Andrzejewski, a long time journalist for Forbes magazine, was fired when the magazine was pressured by NIH to stop him from documenting accurately the large income that Anthony Fauci and his wife derived from their government jobs.

As Andrzejewski concludes in outlining his blackballing by Forbes:

Two directors, two bureau chiefs, and two top PR officers [from NIH] didn’t send an email to the Forbes’ chief on a Sunday morning because they wanted to correct the record about Fauci’s travel reimbursements. They sent that email to subliminally send a message: We don’t like Andrzejewski’s oversight work, and we want you to do something about it.

Unfortunately, Forbes folded quickly. Within 24 hours of the NIH email to Randall Lane, my regular Forbes editor called and announced new rules. Forbes barred me from writing about Fauci and mandated pre-approval for all future topics.

Then, Forbes went silent and terminated my column roughly 10 days later on January 28.

On the day Forbes cancelled me, the editors bent the knee. A new piece on Fauci published: “Fauci’s Portrait Will Soon Hang In The Smithsonian.”

The shameful part of this story was the way a news organization took the side of government agents, rather than their own journalist. The press is not supposed to be a state-run organization, but a free press intent on uncovering government malfeasance. The people who run Forbes apparently don’t understand this, and are quite willing to become panting toadies to the federal government.

Andrzejewski however understands his role as a journalist far better. In 2011 he founded Open The Books, a non-profit focused on documenting government spending precisely, at all levels from the smallest school district to the largest agency in the federal government. To do this the organization has filed almost 50,000 Freedom of Information requests. As he noted at the link above,

Over this nearly eight year period, my articles were a-political and used hard data to fact-check Republicans, Democrats, and unelected bureaucrats. Since 2019, I published 112 articles for 13,031,558 views – an average of 116,353 views per investigation.

Here are three examples of our original reporting:

The Biden Administration left behind up to 600,000 weapons, 75,000 military vehicles and 16,000 night vision devices in their hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan.

No, President Donald Trump didn’t drain the swamp – the swamp grew by 50,000 executive agency positions during his four years.

In 2004, Dr. Fauci received a permanent pay adjustment for his biodefense work. In other words, Fauci was the top-paid federal employee precisely because he was paid to stop a pandemic.

It was Andrezejewsk’s work with Open the Books that revealed to the world the ungodly amount of money Fauci was raking in for his generally useless and sometimes dishonest work as head of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases at the NIH. All told, the Fauci family income in 2020 exceeded $1.7 million, and that did not include the money Fauci got from McGraw-Hill for being an editor and board member there.

For most Americans, struggling in these hard times because of Wuhan flu lockdowns, mandates, and the incompetence of the federal government, these numbers sound truly obscene. Even as recently as four days ago Fauci continued to demand the need for lockdowns and restrictions, even as he takes in millions in cash and lives the high life in Washington, often ignoring his own recommendations.

Fauci did not like these facts revealed. Neither did the corrupt NIH, which immediately acted to get Andrezejewski blackballed.

Fortunately, there are now alternatives to sycophant news outlets like Forbes, such as Andrezejewski’s own substack feed which he used to unveil these flunkies at Forbes’. His story needs to be spread far and wide in the alternative press, so that this alternative press can replace the corrupt mainstream press that is no longer doing its job.

Persecution is now cool! Even as the corporate management at the Disney company is publicly aligning itself with the gay political agenda, a group of conservative and religious Disney employees have published a letter outlining how this so-called “inclusive” company has made its workplace very hostile to them, forcing many to leave and requiring the letter writers to stay anonymous to protect their jobs.

One of the employees, who works in the Imagineering department designing attractions in Disney theme parks, told The Daily Wire that he’s had three close colleagues leave his division in just the last nine months because of the increasingly hostile work environment. “No matter what department or what segment, we’ve been watching the [diversity, equity, and inclusion] takeover of Disney accelerate to breakneck speeds, and God help you if you get caught standing in front of the train.” [emphasis mine]

The full letter is available here on Google docs. Assuming Google will censor it at some point, the link above has also republished it in full at the bottom of the article. This quote from the letter is especially revealing about the intolerant work atmosphere created by the “woke” Disney employees:

An internal poll within the company went out a few months ago asking us if we felt accepted in the company. Many of us didn’t complete it because the nature of the questions made us worry that the results of the poll could be used to target us for quietly holding a position that runs against the progressive orthodoxy that Disney seems to promote. TWDC [The Walt Disney Company} has fostered an environment of fear that any employee who does not toe the line will be exposed and dismissed.

Much has been made of our internal efforts to Reimagine Tomorrow, but as much as diversity and inclusion are promoted, the tomorrow being reimagined doesn’t seem to have much room for religious or political conservatives within the company. Left-leaning cast members are free to promote their agenda and organize on company time using company resources. They call their fellow employees “bigots” and pressure TWDC to use corporate influence to further their left-wing legislative goals.

Meanwhile, those of us who don’t align with this vision keep our heads down and do our work without bringing our personal beliefs into the workplace. We’ve done this without complaint because we don’t want to rock the boat, but the boat is being rocked, and our leadership seems compelled to reward those who are rocking it.

Employees who want TWDC to make left-wing political statements are encouraged, while those of us who want the company to remain neutral can say so only in a whisper out of fear of professional retaliation. The company we love seems to think we don’t exist or don’t belong here. This politicization of our corporate culture is damaging morale and causing many of us to feel our days with TWDC might be numbered. [emphasis mine]

What is most significant about these four paragraphs is that they describe so well the hostile work and public environment for conservatives and the religious everywhere. You could replace Disney with practically any corporate company or university or school administration and these four paragraphs would apply perfectly.

The left and its Marxist bulldozer has created a fearful and intolerant culture throughout America. It claims it is tolerant and inclusive, but don’t you dare express any dissent, no matter how gently put, or you will be run over by that bulldozer. And everyone knows it.

There is a fix to this horrible situation, but it will be painful. It will require a lot of people to begin to publicly stand up to these thugs, at companies, in board rooms, in university faculty lounges, at school board meetings, everywhere. Doing so will certainly cause the speakers to suffer by quickly being blacklisted and censored. No matter. Better to lose your job now fighting for freedom than have to die for it later.

And die we will if we do not stop bowing to these leftist thugs.

The Star-Spangled Banner being bombed by the British at Fort McHenry
in 1812. And there is a reason the national anthem calls America
the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Thus, speaking out will require great courage, but then, you don’t get freedom without bravery.

Fortunately, there are signs that Americans are increasingly no longer willing to bow silently, to go along to get along. Instead, we have parents in droves overwhelming school boards nationwide in anger. We have numerous professors at colleges speaking out courageously, risking their jobs to stand for freedom.

And we have these Disney employees, stating the obvious publicly about their company’s intolerant culture in order to force their employer to reconsider the direction it is heading.

Some of these brave souls will be destroyed. I suspect however that more will come out of the fight stronger, and in a better situation. No longer will they need to cower in fear. And notice will be served to the intolerant: If you try to oppress me you will pay.

Trofim Lysenko, the person American academia now most admires,
preaching to Stalin as he destroyed Soviet plant research,
persecuted anyone who disagreed with him, and caused famines
that killed millions.

Today at the Daily Signal one of their writers, Douglas Blair, compiled a list of eight college professors whose lives were destroyed by the intolerant left and its effort to silence all opposition, by any means necessary. That list is as follows:

Mike Adams: forced to retire early for being a conservative. He soon thereafter killed himself.

Peter Boghossian: forced to resign for proving many social science journals publish utter garbage.

Gregory Manco: fired for having an opinion.

John Staddon: banned from academic email group for having an opinion.

Bruce Gilley: forced to withdraw a peer-reviewed paper because others disliked his conclusions.

Charles Negy: fired for expressing an opinion.

Leslie Neal-Boylan: fired for expressing an opinion.

Nathaniel Hiers: fired for cracking a joke.

Five of those eight individuals had previously been a subject of my daily column, “Today’s Blacklisted American,” proving that the number of such cases of oppression and blacklisting by the academic left has grown so large that a daily column can’t possibly cover every story.

What struck me about this list however was the petty, ugly, and absurd reasons given for destroying or silencing these individuals. In every single case, the only accusation against them was that each professor had offended someone (often unnamed) by something he or she had written or said. At no point did anyone ever challenge the accuracy of their statements or writing.

In one case the offending remark was simply a silly joke that no normal and rational person would be offended by. In another case the fired professor had simply noted that there are only two sexes. Four other cases the offending remarks were criticisms of Black Lives Matter and Critical Race Theory, noting the blatantly obvious fact that both are racist, demonizing whites (merely for their skin color) while lionizing all other minorities as pure, perfect, and oppressed. A fourth professor was pushed out of his teaching position simply because he criticized the vapid nature of all “Woman’s Studies” programs.

And then there were the professors (Boghossian and Gilley) who were condemned because they used the peer-review system to publish papers that offended others. Boghossian was part of project that got a number of obviously fake papers through peer review and published in several well-respected social science journals, demonstrating that the editors of those journals were incompetent and that the material they published should not be trusted.

Gilley wrote a paper demonstrating with facts that colonialism was not all bad, that in many cases it actually benefited the natives. He immediately found himself in a firestorm, the subject of a coordinated campaign to get him blacklisted and fired and the journal boycotted. Soon both he and the journal editor were receiving creditable death threats.

None of the critics of Gilley’s paper cited any errors. Instead they focused entirely on how its conclusions offended them and that it was racist to even state such facts.

From these stories you can only conclude that today’s academic community is utterly bankrupt, dominated and controlled by ignorant, close-minded, and spoiled individuals unwilling to discuss any subject rationally. Instead, if someone says something they dislike, they throw tantrums, and their administration immediately gives in to them. In such a culture free and intelligent thought is impossible. No one in these schools can get a good education. Instead, students are taught that intellectual debate is nothing more than silencing and oppressing those you disagree with.

For this country to survive these institutions must die, now. If it happened yesterday it would not be soon enough.

No freedom of speech for conservatives in
NY schools. Photo: Leo Reynolds.

The new dark age of silencing: Neal Singh, the principal of a middle school in Brooklyn, forbid a teacher from wearing a t-shirt that said “Proud Zionist” because it was “politically explosive.”

An outraged Park Slope teacher says he learned the hard way that it’s OK to wear Black Lives Matter T-shirts to work at his “woke” Brooklyn school — but not pro-cop or pro-Israel garb.

Jeffrey Levy, an English as a Second Language teacher at MS 51 in the liberal Brooklyn enclave, told The Post that school principal Neal Singh ordered him to stop wearing his “Proud Zionist” T-shirt in the building — even though other staffers have worn shirts touting BLM and women’s rights. Levy filed a discrimination complaint over not being allowed to wear his self-made shirt, which features the Star of David.

He said he was told by Singh that students and staffers complained about it — and also the pro-police “Back the Blue” T-shirt he’s previously worn. “Singh told me that my T-shirt with an Israeli flag on it and the words ‘Proud Zionist’ were ‘politically explosive,’” Levy says in his complaint, filed Sept. 30 with the city Department of Education’s Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity.

The excuse Singh uses to ban the pro-Zionist t-shirt is that it offended some students, which means that Singh hasn’t the slightest idea what freedom of speech entails. To have free speech everyone must be allowed to offend others. Silencing someone because their opinion offends you is blatantly oppressive.

Note too that I am sure Levy was offended by the Black Lives Matter banners and t-shirts, since many of that movement’s leaders are outright bigots and anti-Semites. He however did not call for their banning. He did the right thing, responding with more speech.

The NY Department of Education (DOE) is supporting Singh by noting that teachers are not supposed to advocate political positions while at work. Sounds good, eh? The problem is that the DOE did nothing to stop teachers from promoting BLM and feminist causes, continuously. It clearly has a double standard, designed to silence one side of the debate.

I doubt Levy will win his case. I even expect he will find himself fired for daring to make this complaint. After all, he lives in New York, a place that increasingly resembles the Soviet-style dictatorships of Eastern Europe during the Cold War.

Doesn’t exist at the Twitter.

The new dark age of silencing: The quite legitimate and major conservative news outlet PJMedia was locked out of its Twitter account this week because it had the audacity to state that just because the Biden administration’s assistant secretary for Health for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services likes to wear make-up and dresses, that does not make him a woman, even if he claims he is and the government and Twitter insist we accept that claim, no questions asked.

PJM’s Matt Margolis took issue with that claim in an article titled: “Rachel Levine Is Not the ‘First Female Four-Star Admiral’… Because He’s a Male.” He wrote:

Even if you believe that gender is a social construct and subject to how one feels and not dependent on biology, sex chromosomes determine whether an individual is male or female. Rachel Levine is 100 percent male, right down to his DNA. He is not a female. He may have grown his hair out and changed his name to a woman’s name, but that doesn’t make him a female.

Let me second Margolis’s position. If Levine likes to cross-dress, all power to him. However, he is still a guy, and that is what I will call him, to his face if I ever had the unlikely opportunity to do so. This would likely get me arrested and blacklisted also, as that is now what our present culture demands for anyone who dissents from the leftist agenda, even if that leftist agenda is utterly false and contrary to reality.

To get Twitter’s ban lifted, PJMedia must delete its tweets promoting Margolis’ essay, which according to Twitter will be PJMedia acknowledging its tweet violated its rules.

Twitter made it clear that in order to access our account we would have to delete the truthful offending tweet, thereby admitting we had violated a Twitter rule, purportedly the one that bans “misgendering people.” You can read all about it on their page outlining what it considers to be “hateful conduct.” Misgendering is lumped in with death threats, references to mass murder, and Nazi imagery. (It’s funny that you never seem to hear leftists complaining about being banned from Twitter for calling for Trump’s death or for attacking Christians and Jews. I wonder why?)

At the moment it appears PJMedia has no intention of doing such a foolish thing. Good for it. Stand by the truth and the truth will eventually win out.

Sadly, in our modern oppressive culture the victory for truth might take awhile, and require the destruction of many innocent but honest people along the way.

According to this report of today’s launch by Russia of a movie crew to ISS, Putin’s government has just passed new restrictions on reporting of its space effort by Russian citizens, either in or out of Russia.

The new regulations, which took effect on September 29, 2021, essentially prohibit Russians from reporting on the Russian space program outside of Russia. Violators of these regulations will be classified as “foreign agents” — which would create numerous legal issues for Russian citizens.

Specifically, the new regulations target the field of military and technical activities that are not related to or connected in any way with state secrets but which, with vague language, “can be used against Russia.” Most of the activities on the newly released list by the FSB specifically focus on Roscosmos. Prohibited topics of reporting regarding Roscosmos now include information on investigations conducted by the agency, the organization’s financials, condition of rockets and ground support equipment, development plans for Roscosmos vehicles, Roscosmos’ cooperation with other nations for space activities, and new technologies.

These rules essentially forbid Russian citizens from publishing almost anything that Roscosmos itself does not publish. If they do so without permission from outside the country, returning to Russia will become very problematic.

Senator Rand Paul: censored by YouTube

The new dark age of silencing: YouTube has once again removed videos of Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) while also suspending him for a week, because he stated facts about COVID-19 and masks that YouTube dislikes.

YouTube last week removed a video of an interview the Kentucky Republican senator did on Newsmax. Paul discussed his suspicions about the origins of the coronavirus, his feud with Anthony Fauci over what funding for research in China’s Wuhan lab came from the United States, and argued that most face coverings do not help stop the spread of the virus.

Paul, an eye doctor, then recorded, and on Aug. 3 uploaded, a second video chastising YouTube for taking down the video and promoted one of its competitors, Rumble. He defended his comments on masks. “Saying cloth masks work, when they don’t, actually risks lives, as someone may choose to care for a loved one with COVID while only wearing a cloth mask. This is not only bad advice but also potentially deadly misinformation,” Paul said in the video.

YouTube responded by taking down that video as well, saying that it violated YouTube’s community guidelines. On Tuesday, Paul’s office said that the company imposed a seven-day ban from posting more videos.

YouTube has blacklisted Paul previously, in 2019. It has now simply gotten more aggressive and brazen about its censorship policies, which appear more than anything to aimed specifically at silencing opponents of the Democratic Party, using the coronavirus as an excuse and weapon for doing so.

What amazes me is how nonchalant most Americans have become to this kind of censorship. Even Paul excuses it by noting that YouTube is a private company and has that right.

So what? The behavior is inexcusable. It is downright wrong. To censorship the legitimate expression of a U.S. Senator is the act of totalitarians who believe in oppression, dictatorship, and the end of free speech. It also shows us the utter intellectual dishonesty of the left, as it cannot tolerate dissent, out of fear that dissent might expose its many and very obvious failings.

As recently as ten years ago such repressive actions would have been instantly and universally condemned by everyone, on both sides of the political aisle. Now, the left grins and approves, and the right makes excuses for it.

The dark age is no longer coming. It is here, and day-by-day the darkness grows deeper and more all-encompassing.

No first amendment rights in Long Beach, New York!

The modern dark age: Because the town of Long Beach, New York has forced a Trump supporter to hide his car, festooned with pro-Trump and conservative messages, he is suing that town for $25 million for denying him is first amendment rights.

“I believe the city is trying to silence me because I’m pro-Trump,” [Michael Wasserman] told The Post. The 62-year-old entrepreneur has become known in the area for plastering his home — along with his Porsche and Jeep — with a rotating variety of political flags and stickers.

Now he has filed a $25 million federal suit — against the City of Long Beach, the chief of police, the city manager and specific police officers — after officials forced him to remove the flags on his cars.

The town claims they are a violation of an ordinance stating that “[No] sign shall be erected, affixed or maintained within the perimeter of any … public street or public property.” Wasserman parks his car on a public street outside his home.

“They’re bending and massaging the ordinance to fit the crime,” Wasserman told The Post. “This is a blatant attempt to silence me.”

The picture above shows Wasserman leaning on his car, with his home behind him, also covered with flags and political banners.

The city claims they are simply enforcing a law that forbids signage without permission on public streets. Yet, how are the signs on Wasserman’s car any different then every bumper sticker you see? They are not, and this is where Wasserman’s claim that it is pure political oppression seems confirmed.

Wasserman’s case is further reinforced by the treatment he gets generally in this blue-state New York town:

“[People] spit at me, drive by cursing me out,” he said of local residents. His Porsche, which is decorated with stickers — including one depicting Trump urinating on a CNN logo — is marred with scratches from people keying it.

But, he said, all the hate only strengthens his resolve. “If they didn’t try to cancel me, I probably wouldn’t be so prolific,” Wasserman told The Post, wearing a legally permitted gun, a $400 Kevlar bulletproof vest and a body camera because of “death notes on my car.” [emphasis mine]

The highlighted words illustrate how this persecution is not simply coming from the local government.

Ironically, not only was Wasserman a long-time Democrat until 2004, his lawyer is a self-described liberal who apparently is rightly putting the principles of free speech ahead of his political leanings. That lawyer also admits “that he has taken heat for representing Wasserman,” illustrating again how most partisan Democrats today have abandoned the ideas of due process and equal treatment before the law. Conservatives must be blacklisted, and even denied their right to legal representation. That lawyer should expect an effort to blacklist him as well should he win this case.

The left keeps ramping up the ugliness it exhibits against conservatives and any who dissent from its agenda. It has now gotten to the point where a conservative gets death threats and property vandalism for putting bumper stickers on his car, and his lawyer finds himself harassed for defending that man’s first amendment rights.

When are ordinary and decent freedom-loving Americans, of all political persuasions, going to rise up and condemn this ugliness? It needs to be condemned, and it needs to be condemned to the face of each person expressing such ugliness.

UPDATE: I decided I should give my readers a method for confronting these storm troopers directly. You can obtain the email addresses of the entire Long Beach, New York, city council at this website. You can reach the town’s city manager, whom Wasserman has named in the lawsuit, at this website. Let them know what you think of their jack-booted behavior.

Twitter’s goal: Only Democrats can have freedom of speech.

The new dark age of silencing: In a single purge Twitter yesterday banned all the accounts of all election audits going on in Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Wisconsin.

Earlier today Twitter permanently suspended all nine of the official ‘Audit War Room’ accounts from it’s platform. The accounts were a main source for breaking updates and were banned as part of big tech’s continued attempt to shield the public from the stunning revelations being found regarding the fraudulent 2020 election.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter provided no reason for the suspensions. [emphasis mine]

Note the highlighted sentence. Twitter is no longer even pretending that it is banning these accounts because of some vague “community standard” that each violated. No, Twitter banned them simply because it is possible that the election audits going on in these states might actually uncover evidence of election fraud, and to allow honest and real news reporting can no longer be allowed, if that reporting might threaten the dominant leftist agenda and the Democratic Party politicians who are imposing it.

Many of these accounts already have alternative outlets, such as Gab. However, Twitter today has become the go-to place for journalists — quite foolishly — for their stories and news. Its blatant declaration with these bannings that it is working aggressively to censor all news stories it doesn’t like means that the mainstream news pumped into the public’s smart phones will be even more distorted and dishonest.

Furthermore, if the Democrats and the left are so certain there was no fraud in the November 2020 election, why are they working so hard to prevent any investigation while blacklisting any story or person who reports on those investigations? Such behavior suggests to any reasonable person that they actually know that such fraud occurred, and are attempting a cover-up.

Political round-ups and death camps:
Coming to your town in America soon!

That such actions are now happening frequently in many different venues (corporations, academia, entertainment, social media) and in multiple outlets (Google, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, MailChimp, etc) , often instigated by lower management, points to how widespread this evil totalitarian culture has spread. As horrifying and as unbelieveable as it might sound in America, too many Americans who support today’s Democratic Party are wholly in favor of censorship, of blackballing, of oppression, and of even violence against their opponents. Their nonchalent approval in the past year of the Antifa and Black Lives Matter riots proves it.

These people hate, and because of that hate are eagerly in favor of denying others their first amendment rights under the Bill of Rights, and of canceling the Constitution so that the politicians they support can take power forever.

Be prepared. Worse is coming. These storm troopers will not be happy until every single dissenter is smashed, even if it eventually means herding them all into concentration camps for mass execution.

No first amendment allowed at the
American Booksellers Association.

The horrible ironies of this story are beyond the pale. The American Booksellers Association (ABA), a non-profit trade organization founded in 1900 to represent independent bookstores while also defending freedom of speech, has now violently condemned the publication of a book that raised questions about the modern perverse sexual movement and its unbridled support of sex changes for young children.

First, some details about that book and its author:

Irreversible Damage [by Abigail Shrier] is not some partisan screed. In the book, Shrier delves into the startling trend of adolescent teenage girls identifying as transgender, which a scientific study described as a “social contagion.” Shrier endorses transgender identity and even hormones and surgery for some people, but she warns against “treatments” that will leave many girls permanently scarred, noting that an increasing number of those who previously identified as transgender have de-transitioned.

Note how careful Shrier is to label herself in favor of sex changes for children even as she raises fair questions about some of these procedures and the possible harm they may do.

No matter. No one at all is to be permitted to question the left’s modern sexual agenda. When the ABA included a mention of this book in its July membership newsletter, the control freaks came out in force, demanding retribution and the burning of Shrier’s book.

And the ABA immediately complied, kowtowing like groveling slaves in its statement of apology.

“An anti-trans book was included in our July mailing to members,” the ABA confessed. “This is a serious, violent incident that goes against ABA’s ends policies, values, and everything we believe and support. It is inexcusable.

…“We apologize to our trans members and to the trans community for this terrible incident and the pain we caused them,” the ABA’s statement continued. “We also apologize to the LGBTQIA+ community at large, and to our bookselling community.”

“Apologies are not enough. We’ve begun addressing this today and are committed to engaging in the critical dialogue needed to inform concrete steps to address the harm we caused. Those steps will be shared in the next three weeks,” the statement concluded.

Nor was this groveling statement — totally hostile to the idea of free speech and open dissent — enough for this organization supposedly dedicated to free speech and open dissent. The organization’s CEO, Allison Hill, put out her own statement where she also slandered and condemned conservative Candace Owens, merely because Hill did not agree with Owens’ politics.

“This week we did horrific harm when we included an anti-trans book in ABA’s July box mailing to members. Last week, we did terrible and racist harm when featuring the bestseller Blackout by Dhonielle Clayton, Tiffany D. Jackson, Nic Stone, Angie Thomas, Ashley Woodfolk, and Nicola Yoon with the wrong cover image, conflating it with an image of the cover of a book by a different Black author, a right-wing extremist,” Hill wrote, apparently referring to Candace Owens.

This is what our modern “intellectual” class has devolved into: Intolerant to new ideas, hostile to dissent, quick to slander and hate, and dedicated to smashing its boot into the face of anyone it does not like.

The ABA did not literally burn a book here, but I would not be surprised if we soon see such things. We no longer have a free society if an organization dedicated to promoting the selling of books now believes that some books must be censored. And if the majority of the booksellers who belong to the ABA do not agree with this, why have they not stepped forward to stop this witchhunt? Are they cowards, or do they agree that the censorship of books is a good thing?

Moreover, Shrier better be prepared for far worse attacks. She dared to argue rationally and with some skepticism about one of the left’s most loved agendas, the normalizing of sexual perversion with children. For the left and the sex abuse community, that cannot be allowed.

No free speech for conservatives on YouTube!

Blacklists are back and YouTube’s got ’em! The American Conservative Union (ACU) was banned by YouTube this week, a ban that coincided precisely with the ACU’s annual convention, the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), thus preventing it from airing content from the event.

The ACU, which hosts the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), received “a strike” on their account from YouTube on July 9, preventing them from uploading new content for a week. This includes ACU’s CPAC 2021 Part 2 in Dallas, Texas, and Trump’s CPAC speech scheduled for Sunday, the organization said in a statement.

In addition, YouTube unilaterally deleted a CPAC video featuring Trump’s announcement of a lawsuit against big tech companies like Google and YouTube for their censorship of conservative speakers. As the Google company routinely does when it blackballs conservative content it does not like, it vaguely claimed there was “‘medical misinformation” about COVID-19 during Trump’s speech, without specifying the exact statements that gave offense.

The old ACLU motto, when that organization believed in free speech, was “the answer to bad speech is more speech.” Thus, rather than censor anyone from saying anything that YouTube doesn’t like or disagrees with, the platform could highlight alternative statements by others. That would still be unethical and biased, but at least it would not be engaging in censorship and thuggery.

Nah. Companies like Google and YouTube aren’t into free speech and open debate. They are for oppression and rule without opposition. They are afraid of open debate, because probably they know they would lose the debate quite badly in such circumstances. Instead, their answer to anyone who says anything they don’t like is to move to silence them.

All this provides more reason to stop using Google as your search engine. It takes literally ten seconds to make any one of several more secure search engines your default, such as DuckDuckGo, MyPrivateSearch, or Qwant. People should also get off Gmail and find another email service.

The goal in all this is not so much to put these oppressive companies out of business, but to create viable competitors. Competition always helps the little guy, and makes the big guy have second thoughts about doing evil, as it might come back to bite them.

No first amendment allowed at YouTube.

Persecution is now cool! One day prior to the July 3, 2021 Trump rally in Florida, YouTube unilaterally suspended Right Side Broadcasting, the channel most well known for live streaming such events.

The suspension was for seven days. YouTube also deleted the channel’s videos from several other Trump events. From Right Side Broadcasting blog announcement:

YouTube has suspended RSBN from live streaming and posting content to their YouTube channel on the eve of President Donald Trump’s Save America rally in Sarasota, Florida.

YouTube has also deleted all of RSBN’s coverage of Trump’s June 26 rally in Wellington, Ohio, along with his June 5 speech to the North Carolina GOP convention.

The videos deleted had several million views.

As is usual for these efforts at censorship, YouTube merely claimed that “The videos contain remarks from President Trump that violate the aforementioned policies and countervailing views on those remarks are not provided.” Of course, YouTube has never demanded any Democrat to provide “countervailing views” during their political rallies, and I am sure the Google-owned video broadcasting service never will.

Moreover, what exactly did Trump say that required censorship? YouTube of course doesn’t specify. They never do, because if they did they would have to defend their action, and it would be difficult because Trump might be coarse but he never says anything that justifies such censorship. Never.

Right Side Broadcasting fortunately has its own Rumble channel, and it was able to live stream the July 3rd rally as well as keep available for viewing the deleted videos (found here and here).

It is once again important to recognize that this blacklisting of Right Side Broadcasting to prevent it from doing what it best known for is not actually done by some giant corporation named YouTube. It is actually done by the people that work there, both their upper management and their hired hands, most of whom now very clearly do not believe in free speech or the first amendment. There is an oppressive culture in these big tech companies. hostile to conservative values and its American principles of free speech, individual responsibility, and fair treatment to all, no matter their race, color, or creed.

Secondly, I am very tired of hearing the brainless argument that YouTube is a private company and the first amendment doesn’t apply to it. This is surely true legally, but that has never been the point. And anyone who focuses on this irrelevancy is not only an accessory to blacklisting and censorship, they are burying their head in the sand.

The point is that we now have a sizeable portion of the population on the left side of the political spectrum who no longer recognizes free speech and tolerance for other points of view. The point is that these tyrants have decided that, because they now have the power to silence, blackball, and censor their opponents, they are going to do so, with abandon and even glee.

If we don’t call them on their intolerance, and instead make excuses or rationalizations, we let these bullies get away with it. And we all know that if you let bullies get away with bullying, they will merely up the ante and bully you even more. Mere suspensions will seem gentle in a few years if free Americans do not start responding to these thugs aggressively, without compromise.

Doesn’t exist at the professional baseball games.

This seems especially appropriate during the July 4th weekend: Major League Baseball (MLB) — joining Disney, Sea World, and Sesame Street — has officially banned Dion Cini from all baseball stadiums, simply because he routinely came to games and displayed a “Trump Won Save America” banner.

Cini’s Twitter profile describes him as “Guerilla Marketeer, Political Consultant, Founder of OperationFlagDrop & ‘Professional Provocateur.’”

He has skated with his flag on Wollman Ice Rink, where he was physically assaulted, even though the Trump organization operated Wollman Rink. Cini also unfurled what is rumored to be the world’s largest Trump flag on the front of Trump Tower in Manhattan in March of this year. Cini even dropped a “Trump Pride” flag one day after the end of Pride Month.

Cini has now been banned by MLB stadiums and Disney parks, Sea World, and Sesame Street. As per his Twitter account, he has no plans of stopping the flag drops.

Cini was definitely doing this activity to promote his business, which sells American flags banners, but so what? He was also expressing his opinion about the November 2020 election, something that under the Bill of Rights he has the right to do. Moreover, in none of his stunts has he done anything to hurt anyone else, or prevented anyone from viewing the games. If anything, others have oppressed him by attacking him for doing so.

The physical attacks on Cini illustrate again the intolerant nature of too many people from the left, many of whom now run the country’s biggest corporations. They don’t simply disagree with Trump and the Republican Party, they want to destroy anyone associated with that party or its political positions. Opposition to Democratic Party rule must not be permitted, in any way, shape, or form.

Political round-ups: Coming to your town in America soon!

Persecution is now cool! And because this type of minor and very incomplete censorship is not very effective, and in fact acts to attract even more attention to those who have been oppressed, expect the censorship and blackballing to intensify. If simply banning someone from events or businesses is insufficient, maybe arresting them will work better!

Don’t believe me? Then you know nothing of history. This is always how petty dictators transition into genocidal maniacs. You just have to give them time, and look the other way when they begin bullying someone else.

No free speech allowed at SoundCloud or Spotify.

Persecution is now cool! Rappers Bryson Grey and Patriot J have had a song with the opening line “They might ban me for this song” banned by Spotify & SoundCloud.

The song strongly criticized BLM, the government lockdowns, and the modern perverse sexual movement. Bryson noted in announcing the Spotify ban that though these same outlets claimed the song was banned for hateful speech, they do not ban much more violent rapper songs that glorify murder, crime, and drug use.

Patriot J responded by pointing out that other black rappers can glorify death, crime and all kinds of immoral and disgusting lifestyles, “but if you mess around and rap about traditional values and expose truths they will BAN YOU!”

“Remember y’all, you can rap about anything you want except going against the LGBT. You can rap about your vagina to children all day, you can rap about popping pills, you can rap about doing crime… but not the forbidden topic,” tweeted Bryson Gray.

This second link also included this tidbit about the intolerant employees at Spotify:

Music icon Ian Brown revealed that Spotify had deleted his anti-lockdown song Little Seed Big Tree, while it was also reported that Spotify employees threatened a mutiny if the company didn’t blacklist episodes of the Joe Rogan podcast. [emphasis mine]

The highlighted words prove that this oppression is not coming from government or fascist leaders, but from a large percentage of the population that no longer believes in free speech but instead endorses subjugation for anyone who disagrees with them. These grass-roots tyrants will not only vote for tyrants, they will band together to make any social setting they participate in a version of Orwell’s 1984.

What makes this situation even more terrifying is that too many people who strongly oppose this intolerance are also too cowed to fight it. They go along to get along, and thus the bullies win, time and again.

As for SoundCloud, today’s story simply reinforces yesterday’s SoundCloud blacklisting story, both of which show how close-minded that company is to diverse ideas.

Personally, I cannot imagine what it must be like to work at a corporation today. I certainly couldn’t survive there, as I despise bullies and will never bow to them. I would stand up to them and defend freedom of speech for everyone, even those I disagreed with. Which of course means I would be quickly fired by corporate management, who appears now routinely aligned with the bullies and fascists that make up too much of today’s population.

Journalist Andy Ngo: blacklisted and banned by Soundcloud

Persecution is now cool! Journalist Andy Ngo has been blackballed again, this time by the podcast and music website SoundCloud.

[Ngo’s] podcast, ‘Things You Should Ngo’ was banned “on grounds of being dedicated to violating” Soundcloud’s rules. Unsurprisingly, as Ngo’s publication The Post Millennial reports, there’s a problem with the explanation.

The latest episode of the podcast was uploaded more than one year ago and there was no option in the notification email for Ngo to appeal or even seek further information. Over the weekend, SoundCloud’s Trust & Safety Team informed Ngo via email of the permanent ban for “violating” the site’s Terms of Use and Community Guidelines, which state that users must not use the platform to create content “that is abusive, libellous, defamatory, pornographic or obscene, that promotes or incites violence, terrorism, illegal acts, or hatred on the grounds of race, ethnicity, cultural identity, religious belief, disability, gender, identity or sexual orientation, or is otherwise objectionable in SoundCloud’s reasonable discretion.”

Of course, Ngo’s podcast did none of those things. His podcast simply interviewed politicians and public figures, a perfectly legitimate thing for a reporter to do in a free society. That such reporting according to SoundCloud must now be censored because some of those interviewed expressed conservative values just shows us the close-minded and oppressive attitude of that company’s management.

I say “again” in the headline because this censorship by SoundCloud follows a long string of blackballing of Ngo by many different outlets and totalitarian organizations.

For example, I have previously featured some of these efforts, including the death threats and actual physical attacks against him that sent him to the emergency room and forced him to flee Portland temporarily for his safety.

And of course Twitter has banned him for a time for stating demonstrable facts that those on the left don’t like, a tactic routinely done at Twitter.

What none of these fascist brown-shirts ever document or show is a case where Ngo reported something that wasn’t true. And they haven’t because his reporting of Antifa in Portland and elsewhere has been flawlessly correct. He does what a good reporter is supposed to do, report what he sees, without spin. That some don’t like it only adds weight to the truth of his reporting: They, Antifa and BLM, are doing things they know are morally wrong, and don’t want it exposed in its true light, only veiled behind the propaganda they can put out and gets spewed back to the public by the bankrupt and leftist mainstream news sources like CBS, NBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, etc.

Right now, this action by SoundCloud only serves to give more business to any competitors. Expect those competitors’ market share to grow and SoundCloud’s to shrink.

Expect also that eventually the fascists from the left who control these oppressive outlets are going to become more aggressive. Soon they will move to get their ally, the government, to either outlaw their competition, or to force that competition to be as intolerant as they are. We are only a hairs-breath away from such oppression.

Blacklists are back and American Airlines want ’em! American Airlines has instituted an investigation into the opinions of one of their pilots, Guy Midkiff, because he committed the “crime” of criticizing the introduction of the bigoted and Marxists program called Critical Race Theory (CRT) in his local schools.

The attacks against him by one group that supports CRT have been vicious and slanderous, as documented at this story. The members of this group, the Southlake Anti-Racism coalition (SARC), have repeatedly commented on American Airlines’ Twitter feed, accusing Midkiff of harassing students and women while calling him a racist, all without any evidence. Some examples:

Hey @AmericanAir, why is this man saying he is a pilot for your airline? He is consistently harassing minority females in Southlake and now is going after our students!

Your employee has been harassing students and community members relentlessly for months for speaking out against the racism they experience in our town.

Or you are…literally just a grown man harassing students? And almost exclusively Black women and girls? Just an observation. Your racist dog whistling comes across loud and clear.

The last comment was made in direct response to Midkiff, who had simply pointed out that SARC was almost certainly a fraud, making believe it was made up of students but in truth run by leftists using kids as a cover, a tactic these leftists employ routinely.

Midkiff might be wrong, but that doesn’t make him a “racist” who is “harassing students … black women and girls.” It means he is speaking his mind. If these “students” and “black women and girls” don’t like it that’s just too damn bad. The First Amendment gives us all the right to say things that offend others. Their right options are to respond publicly and with reason, proving Midkiff is wrong, not move to silence him and get him fired from his job.

American Airlines sadly immediately bowed to these slanderers and began an investigation against Midkiff, even though he had been their pilot for the last 32 years.

“We are troubled by the allegations of harassment and are focusing our investigation accordingly. American expects our team members to treat all people with dignity and respect at work and in their communities,” an American Airlines spokesperson told The Texan.

The last link above also noted that an American Airlines senior executive who also lives in Southlake, Don Casey, testified in support of introducing Critical Race Theory in his schools. I wonder if he had anything to do with starting this investigation. Maybe he believes he has the right to silence dissent, just like those students.

Midkiff has refused to back down, as that last linked article above also notes, quoting him extensively in response to American Airlines’ investigation and the accusations against him.

Midkiff said SARC has used “unethical tactics to accomplish their objective,” including ridiculing parents who testify at school board meetings and tagging candidates as racist. “Southlake Anti-Racist Coalition (SARC) is a group of mostly college-age adults that use this doublespeak/Orwellian term and have bullied and attempted to cancel parents concerned about critical race theory in our schools,” Midkiff wrote in a statement to The Texan.

“I am dedicated to defending my country and protecting my children by exposing the tactics of the SARC organization that many in the community describe as a hate group.”

Midkiff criticized “the media’s complicity in this effort to target my community,” referring to the “flawed reporting” of NBC News in particular.

He added, “I have a right to defend my community and family, and will continue to speak truth to power in the best interest of my country.”

Good for him. The right response to bullies like this is always to stand strong and fight back. If you do so they will almost always back down, as bullies usually do. And if they don’t, you will at least succeed in shining the light of truth on their intolerant tactics. You might also be able to win a big victory in court, for a lot of money.

No longer valid for too many employees
at Simon & Schuster.

Blacklists are back and book publishers want ’em: A petition of about 14% of the workforce at the book publisher Simon & Schuster is demanding that all former Trump administration officials be blacklisted from publication.

The petition demanding the New York publishing conglomerate to stop treating “the Trump administration as a ‘normal’ chapter in American history” collected 216 internal signatures, representing approximately 14% of the company’s workforce, and support from several thousand nonemployees, according to the Wall Street Journal. The petition singled out a planned two-part autobiography to be authored by former Vice President Mike Pence, which the publisher’s employees alleged amounted to support for “racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, anti-Blackness, xenophobia, misogyny, ableism, islamophobia, antisemitism, and violence” in the online petition.

While the publisher has rejected the call to cancel Pence’s autobiography, it still has a track record of blacklisting conservatives. It reneged on its book contract with conservative senator Josh Hawley (R-Missouri) because of his stance demanding a full investigation of the November election. It also dropped the distribution of a book by one of the police officers involved in the shooting of Breonna Taylor in Louisville, after getting pressure from both in and out of the company.

More indicative however of the company’s intolerant attitude towards any opinions not endorsed by the left is the number of employees — at a book publishing house — who signed this petition, demanding the silencing of Pence and other conservatives for having unclean thoughts. Based on these numbers it will likely be very difficult for any conservative to get a book accepted at Simon & Schuster. And should a person have the public clout — such as Mike Pence — to still get published by them, the editorial process will be a nightmare.

My own experience is illustrative. Not only did different editors at different publishing houses repeatedly try to change my written text to fit their opinions, not mine, I experienced repeated efforts at different publishing houses to either block or slow publication, and if that didn’t work to then sabotage the subsequent campaign.

I expect the same at Simon & Schuster for Pence’s book. Fortunately for him his name-recognition will likely counter such childish but destructive efforts. Unfortunately those who are less famous or have less political clout will quickly find themselves blacklisted at Simon & Schuster.

Nor should anyone expect the remaining 86% who did not sign the petition to speak up in defense of these conservative writers. Too many Americans are now cowed from defending free speech out of fear that this mob of intolerant tyrants will come after them next.

Welcome to the new America, where the editorial departments of book publishers eagerly participate in the silencing of free speech.

No longer exists at the University of Virginia

They’re coming for you next: Because medical student Kieran Bhattacharya dared to question the scientific validity of the term “microaggressions” during a panel discussion, the University of Virginia’s School of Medicine began an investigation that accused Bhattacharya of being a threat to others and banned him from the campus.

Here was what the student said.

“Thank you for your presentation,” said Bhattacharya, according to an audio recording of the event. “I had a few questions, just to clarify your definition of microaggressions. Is it a requirement, to be a victim of microaggression, that you are a member of a marginalized group?”

Adams replied that it wasn’t a requirement.

Bhattacharya suggested that this was contradictory, since a slide in her presentation had defined microaggressions as negative interactions with members of marginalized groups. Adams and Bhattacharya then clashed for a few minutes about how to define the term. It was a polite disagreement. Adams generally maintained that microaggression theory was a broad and important topic and that the slights caused real harm. Bhattacharya expressed a scientific skepticism that a microaggression could be distinguished from an unintentionally rude statement. His doubts were well-founded given that microaggression theory is not a particularly rigorous concept.

You can listen to the audio of this exchange here, beginning at about 28 minutes. Bhattacharya is respectful and calm, and is asking legitimate questions. It appears his main concern was the blanket vagueness of the term that allows anyone to claim a microaggression for almost any statement or act.

Apparently, the organizers of the event then decided that his questions were a microaggression in themselves, for which he must be punished.

Nora Kern, an assistant professor who helped to organize the event, thought Bhattacharya’s questions were a bit too pointed. Immediately following the panel, she filed a “professionalism concern card”—a kind of record of a student’s violations of university policy.

“This student asked a series of questions that were quite antagonistic toward the panel,” wrote Kern. “He pressed on and stated one faculty member was being contradictory. His level of frustration/anger seemed to escalate until another faculty member defused the situation by calling on another student for questions. I am shocked that a med student would show so little respect toward faculty members. It worries me how he will do on wards.”

In the end the school demanded Bhattacharya get psychological counseling or be banned from the campus. In addition, they used as part of their evidence his own attempts to defend himself, including his repeated requests for some specific charges against him, all of which were never forthcoming.

The student was informed that he must be evaluated by psychological services before returning to classes. Bhattacharya repeatedly asked university officials to clarify what exactly he was accused of, under whose authority his counseling had been mandated, and why his enrollment status was suddenly in doubt, according to [Bhattacharya’s subsequent] lawsuit. These queries only appear to have made UVA officials more determined to punish him: Bhattacharya’s mounting frustration with these baseless accusations of unspecified wrongdoings was essentially treated as evidence that he was guilty. At his hearing, he was accused of being “extremely defensive” and ordered to change his “aggressive, threatening behavior.”

He was ultimately suspended for “aggressive and inappropriate interactions in multiple situations.” On December 30, UVA police ordered him to leave campus.

The university tried to get Bhattacharya’s lawsuit dismissed, but the judge instead dismissed that motion and is allowing the case to go forward.

Any dissent or skepticism to this one component of modern leftist academic thought, designed to close students’ minds to hearing alternative perspectives, can no longer be tolerated in today’s universities. The medical school at the University of Virginia is now apparently a Stalinist camp, where no dissent or open discussion is allowed. And if you try it you will be smacked down for committing a “microaggression” against the new lords and masters of society.

Are you sending your children there? Are you attending the school? If so, you or your kids should get out, now. What this school is teaching is not something any of us want our children to learn.

Have any of your doctors gotten their degree there? If so, you should ask them if they agree with what the UVA is doing to Bhattacharya, and if they say yes, you better find another doctor. One should have grave doubts about such a doctor’s training or medical competence.

And is any state money being used by this school as it squelches free speech and independent thought? If so, maybe you need to find out what your state elected officials are going to do about it. Or maybe you should vote in different state elected officials who might better represent both you and the Bill of Rights.

Time is growing short. The people in America who still believe in liberty and free speech had been become outraged or there will no longer be any such thing left.

They’re coming for you next: Since her election in November 2020 Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) has repeatedly irritated many people for her strong and very outright conservative opinions on everything from election fraud to religion to Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

As a result she has become the target by many on the left, resulting in her Twitter account being suspended more than once. In one case it was because she had said posted a tweet celebrating Easter and glorifying the resurrection of Jesus. In another case it as because she called for the supporters of Trump to rally against election fraud and the possibility that the 2020 presidential election was stolen. In both cases her account was reinstated by Twitter within twelve hours, with the social media platform claiming the first suspension was a mistake while the second was not (having violated Twitter’s partisan rules that forbid anyone from suggesting that there might have been election tampering that led to Biden’s victory).

These Twitter attacks are ugly and illustrate that platform’s anti-Republican and leftist agenda, but it is still a private company. More important have been the efforts to muzzle Greene in Congress, led by the Democrats.

First, the House voted by a mostly partisan vote of 230 to 199 to remove her from her committee assignments in the House Education and Budget committees. And while her House Republican leadership refused to go along, that leadership also joined in to condemn her public statements, making it clear that this Republican leadership will not tolerate any of its members speaking honestly in defense of either Trump or fair elections. They also want her to shut up.

Then, on March 19th a resolution supported by “dozens” of Democrats was introduced in the House to expel her from Congress. This statement by Democrat Congresswoman Nikema Williams (D-Georgia) encapsulates the slanderous and close-minded view of her opponents.

“Congresswoman Greene’s comments and actions are dangerous, unpatriotic, and a clear threat to every Member of Congress,” Williams said in January, after backing an effort to censure Greene. “It would be irresponsible for us to allow her to use the ‘People’s House’ as a platform to peddle discredited conspiracy theories that only fan the flames of hatred and violence.”

If you take the time to read all of Greene’s statements in Congress you will find that none of these accusations are founded in reality. Greene is blunt, harsh, outspoken, and very critical of Democrats and their socialist agenda. She also strongly believes that there was fraud in the 2020 election. So what? Free speech is supposed to afford her the right to say these things. Furthermore, an open society requires her to have that right.

Free speech and honest debate however is now fiercely opposed by the left and the Democratic Party politicians leading this movement. You speak your mind and criticize these people and they will be out to destroy you, as they are now trying to do to Greene.

Note that this post has nothing to do with endorsing Greene’s politics. She could be advocating communism and racial preferences for minorities and I would still defend her from expulsion and censorship. I would call for voters to throw such a leftist out of office, but to justify actions similar to those imposed on Greene would for me require some major real illegalities or outright treasonous behavior, none of which apply here.
