“It’s a slap in my face!”

The fascist Democratic Party mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti, issued an edict last month shutting down all restaurants, including all outdoor dining. Yet, he allowed a movie company to set up its outdoor catering services that offer the same service, in the parking lot in front of the shuttered restaurant, about-to-become bankrupt because of his edict.

But according to Angela Marsden, owner of Pineapple Hill Saloon & Grill in Sherman Oaks, local officials permitted a TV production to skirt the rules. Shockingly, the Hollywood crew had set up outdoor eating areas just feet from Marsden’s restaurant.

In her blistering rant, Marsden blasted Garcetti and Newsom for prioritizing Hollywood over small businesses like hers. “So this is my place, the Pineapple Hill Grill & Saloon. If you go to my page you can see all the work I did for outdoor dining, for tables being seven feet apart,” Marsden said. “And I come in today because I’m organizing a protest and I came in to get stuff for that.”

“And I walk into my parking lot — and obviously Mayor Garcetti has approved … this,” she continued, pointing to the production setup, including tables for outdoor dining to be used by the production crew, “has approved this being set up for…this being set up for…for a movie company.”

You must watch her video here. As she says in tears, pointing at her patio, “This is dangerous!” She then points to the movie catering area, which looks exactly the same, if not larger, less than thirty feet away. “And that is safe?” As she notes, “It’s a slap in my face!”

Remember too that this is all part of a lockdown in March that was only supposed to last 15 days, in order “to flatten the curve.” A lie, of course, as have been almost everything coming out of the mouths of government health officials since day one of this epidemic. But then, lying has become standard practice from almost every establishment official in Washington, elected or not, for the last four years, on almost every subject. Trump was colluding with Russia! He colluded with Ukraine! No one in the Obama administration ever spied on him! Trump put kids in cages (built by Obama based on Obama’s policy)! And of course, endlessly: Trump is a racist!

I could go on. They lie, and they lie again, and then they top it off with more lies.

And we are supposed to believe them when they say the vote wasn’t rigged? By this time only fools and children should accept the words out of anyone in government.

If the petty dictators in state governments don’t reconsider and stop destroying so many people’s lives, they shall soon see a lot of blood, and it will be their blood, because those same people will have no choice but to shed it in desperation. Politicians be warned.

I don’t wish it. I only know, as a historian, that this is what will happen if things don’t change soon. And if you don’t believe me you need only read a little bit of history.

Let me add that Julie Kelly says much the same in this essay: Shut up and take it. And I think she says it more thoroughly.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

So I watched Coach Nick Saban (age 69) of Alabama on the sideline this week after missing last week (by law) because he had the Covid. That’s some plaque, eh?

Klaus Shwab: “Does capitalism need some Marxism to survive the fourth industrial revolution?”.

Why is it that when I hear this man talk about his Marxist concepts for the rest of the populations of the world in his thick German accent it gives me great concern? Why is that? Maybe its just me.

Its all connected one way or another my friends and the Chinese and this German “visionary”, professor and founder of the World Economic Forum is designing your new reality and are your new owners. If you allow it.

I say, no thank Mr. Schwab and Mr. Xi.

In order for such a system to emerge there must be complete compliance of the population, whether it be voluntarily or by force. You will comply. And if you refuse? You will be stripped of your ability to earn a living, and that will include entire countries should they not willingly participate. If you refuse you will own no property, you will have limited or no money, your travel will be limited, where you can send your children to school will be limited, where you can live will be determined not by you. But YOU WILL BE HAPPY! DAMN IT!

All of the very organized social movements that really make zero sense to most rational Americans like ANTIFA and BLM, all of the chaos and fear being crafted in the major American cities, the “Protests”, the looting encouraged and allowed, the irrational application of law enforcement, “Defund the police”, our compromised voting system, etc, etc. Its all designed to guide the masses to the security of surrendering your / our freedom in trade for that perceived security, a classic bait and switch. All by the way contrary to the United States Constitution, and so it mush be made irrelevant for this “wonderful” new future to be realized.

And I want you all to pay attention this one thread that flows through it all, and if you think about it for one second you too will detect this clear and obvious pattern. ITS ALL A PART OF THE DEMOCRAT PARTY LEADERSHIPS AGENDA IN AMERICA TODAY.

And so if you are reading this and are an every day American Democrat who is totally unaware of what is in fact underway I suggest you think a little bit further than you normally are in the habit of thinking.

Its so fitting that the tiger is orange.

I have read all of Kurt Schlichter’s books about a civil war happening again here in America. I’m now reading the fifth one , a prequel that takes place about a year from now in 2022. At this point I’m wrapping my head around the fact that NOT having a war would be so much worse than having one ! A slow descent into tyranny under a shadow government , where the law is whatever the hidden ruling class says it is and people disappear suddenly without warning … and every day the normal people are ground down a little further into poverty and hopelessness and constant fear. Better to stand up and fight against this ! We must keep the Senate and change the voting system in all 50 states to tamper – proof paper balloting. If we can make this happen we can push through to a future of real Freedom. We must accept nothing less !

A friend just sent this to me, it fits: Ayn Rand, author of, “Atlas Shrugged” :

It is what it is, but understanding it may allow us all a chance to confront it and side step what appears to be inevitable. But it takes true and strong leadership with vision and willing to lose it all to do so. And that I think is just the reality of prevailing or as some would say, winning.

    Only in America.

The most important insight to be drawn from the unbelievable encroachments and effects of politics on the lives of citizens in the context of the Corona crisis can only be: The power and means of the state (and thus politics) must be significantly restricted! !!

The whole purpose of Obamacare was to protect us from losing our homes and businesses due to a disease. Now that we have Obamacare, millions are losing just those things. And they don’t even have the disease!

Government solutions just add to the problems of the rest of us.

    From Julie Kelly’s essay:
Of course, they don’t play by their own rules. You can’t travel but they can. You must wear a mask but they don’t. You can’t get a haircut but they can. You can’t see your family over the holidays but they can. You can’t go out to dinner but they can.

Which governor was it that told his state’s population to not travel — saying so while he was in Mexico for a getaway?

When laws do not apply to those who make them, people are not being governed, they are being ruled. — Unknown

The leaders of the people are not better than the people they lead. — Unknown

Welcome to Obama’s America, land of the formerly free.

  • Cotour exclaimed “But YOU WILL BE HAPPY! DAMN IT!”

Well, the rational isn’t ‘happiness’; it’s ‘safety’. When ‘smart speakers’ came out, I posited that government would require them in homes (likely starting with new construction) for safety reasons. Don’t hold your breath that it won’t be tried.

‘We have to protect the most vulnerable among us.’ Said every Democrat politician this year.

It is interesting that the victims of government overreach always see what’s coming, but the perpetrators never do. Which leaves: Don’t Know, or Don’t Care. Either way, folks need to look around them and compare their lives to five years ago. When you celebrate mediocrity, you get . . . mediocrity.

  • Jeff

Blair Ivey said: “When ‘smart speakers’ came out, I posited that government would require them in homes (likely starting with new construction) for safety reasons. Don’t hold your breath that it won’t be tried. ”

Unnecessary. Most folks these days have the “smart phones” within their reach 24/7. I swear some must be surgically implanted to their hands. And they do so much more than simply “talk/listen” to you…

    A short 10 second example: https://youtu.be/z-194bOCJnE

    Jeff-
    Good stuff.
This “phone-stuff” people do, is amazing to watch, as-in scary-crazy. They walk around with a tracking-device, being spied-upon, 24/7. (“What, prey tell, could possibly go wrong with that scenario?”)

–I’m probably an outlier; I still have a land-line (cuz’ it’s coupled to my low-priced, albeit low-speed internet) but I do have a pre-paid Tracfone , which is just-a-phone,(a portable dial-tone), which I only carry around infrequently.
(My TV is dumber than rocks as well, cancelled my satellite-tv some time ago and stuck an antenna in my attic. but I mostly only watch DVD’s on it. )

Interesting – small, independent businesses are now being shuttered, possibly for the last time, here in Venezuela del Norte (California), and they are owned by Democrats, Republicans and Independents. One industry owned almost entirely by the Left, movies / TV (locally just called ‘the industry’), gets a pass. Government employees, also dominated by the Left, are not inconvenienced by layoffs or any such thing. Mainstream media, same. The teachers’ unions, all on the Left, continue to get paid but too many don’t have to actually teach (we know some, I hope most, do at least remotely). I’m sure the newly unemployed and former business owners will be welcome to apply for public assistance. And they had better know who they’ll be dependent on, and vote accordingly. So, this is all targeted, and it looks to me like an attempt by the public sector, the Left and their fellow-travelers, to suffocate small independent businesses (one of the few sectors the Left does not control). Too cynical?

  • Cotour

    Too cynical?

    No, not at all.

In the end as the Left imagines it there is only one employer, and its not owned by you or me.

Think about it, when the Democrats and the Global elite talk about the “Great Reset”, that in the end is what they intend. Just play it all out. If we allow it.

Something seemed wrong about this, but I finally figured it out. The Wuhan virus does not spread to people making movies. It is a very smart virus (many people have said so), with a bias to avoid certain people and to target others. Previously we learned that it targets the elderly for death and gives the young a pass on even feeling the symptoms or being contagious. It also targets people with certain co-morbidities, but it generally gives a pass to those who are healthy, wealthy, and wise (“wise” means Democrats, which movie makers overwhelmingly tend to be).

But movie makers, rioters and looters, Democrat Wuhan-flu rule makers (who routinely violate their own rules), and the entire population of China are no longer targeted by the very intelligent Wuhan virus.

It is just like those 10PM curfews. the virus is not active during the day, only after 10PM. The virus is active in Angela Marsden’s outdoor seating, but not in the parking lot where craft services is set up. It is not active in large stores (except for one county’s contact tracing study) but is rampant in little stores.

But best of all, the virus knows when you are wearing a mask and refuses to spread to or from those who do.

My response to what turns out to be my niece asserting that its Trumps failure in getting essential stimulus out to the people in need in the country:

Follow up: It was Nancy Pelosi (D, Speaker Of The House, leader, holding the American people hostage for the Democrat party’s advantage with no concern for the people of America. “The little people”) and her fellow Democrats, and not Trump, that was not going to give the win to Trump before the election. (As I said she would in previous emails. Not really a stretch figuring that out)

CNN host Jake Tapper asked the senator whether it was a mistake for Democrats to walk away from the White House’s $1.8 trillion bill, which likely would have included $1,200 direct payments to all Americans, when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was proposing a $2.2 trillion bill at the time.

    Sanders said, “That’s right. … That’s what I’m saying.”

“What we need is a compromise. I know I can’t get everything that I want. But this bill really is not a compromise,” Sanders said of a $908 billion stimulus package that a bipartisan group of senators introduced last week. “It gives the Republicans almost everything that they wanted.”

People are only informed in the manner that they want to be informed and that supports their interpretation of what is what. And if you are a consumer of the MSM and have only heard how Trump “Just refuses to concede” and “His unfounded cheating and corruption accusations”, what will you do if and when there is traction made in the Supreme Court regarding cheating and corruption in the election?

Just the other day the woman that works for me comes into my office and hears that I am listening to the Sidney Powell hearing, and she says to me, the man that writes her checks, ” Your brain is fornicated!”. Meaning essentially “The election is over, why are you wasting your time on this stupid issue!?” (I just laugh at her and shake my head, she is an emotional person, hates and despises Trump. But she does a good job and I know how much she needs me to write those checks, so I am flexible :) .

And that is how very uniformed a vast majority of the American public are only watch the MSM, and there are a lot of them.
