Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Trump indirectly tells us the swamp WILL be drained if he is re-elected

Trump defiant after being shot
Trump defiant

Today I saw a short clip of Donald Trump answering a question about whether he is getting the normal intelligence briefings traditionally given to all presidential candidates. His answer was startling:

Well I could [get them] if I wanted them, but I don’t want them. … They come in, they give you a briefing and then two days later they leak it and then they say you leaked it. The only way to solve that problem is not to take them.

On its face Trump is simply telling us he is now being careful with whom in the government he deals with. On a deeper level, he is showing us that he is no longer the naive businessman he was in 2016. At that time he wanted very much to reform Washington, but he thought he had the good will of the people in Washington to help him do it. (Remember, for most of his life he was a dedicated Democrat with many friends on the left.)

Instead, he found himself stymied and back-stabbed and attacked on all levels. He discovered that the entire legal and intelligence community (Justice, FBI, CIA, ATF etc) was weaponized for the Democratic Party, and worked hand-in-glove with that party to sabotage and actually persecute Trump, beginning immediately after he took office in 2017 and continuing right to this day. Furthermore, Trump has since learned that many other officials in agencies like the FDA and the CDC also conspired to fix things to help the Democrats, manufacturing a COVID panic that allowed election officials nationwide to loosen many standard rules that had previously prevented voter fraud.

Trump’s statement now that he distrusts all intelligence officers in the FBI or CIA or State Department so much that he won’t even meet with them tells us he is finally well prepared to aggressively drain the Washington swamp, and do so in a much more brutal manner than he was prepared to do in his first term.

When he ran for re-election in 2020, I noted how different a president he had been from every other president I had seen in my entire life. As I wrote, “Unlike any elected official in my lifetime, he followed through on every one those campaign promises, heartily and without fear. More important, in every case his actions worked to everyone’s benefit.”

His one failing was his promise to clean out the corruption in DC. As I noted in a different 2022 essay, in comparing Trump’s actions as president with Musk’s actions after taking over Twitter,

For four years he allowed the federal bureaucracy that he legally controlled in every way according to the Constitution, our nation’s fundamental document, to run rampant. Central to the bureaucracy’s abuse of power were the actions of the Department of Justice and the intelligence community, including the FBI, the CIA, and the NSA. These agencies conspired with the leftist press and the Democrats in Congress to manufacture the Russian collusion hoax, claiming with no evidence that somehow Donald Trump was a stooge of Putin.

During this fake investigation Trump did nothing. When his own appointed attorney general, Jeff Sessions, recused himself from the investigation for utterly bogus reasons, Trump did nothing. When the investigation itself was finally forced to exonerate Trump entirely, admitting that no Russian collusion ever existed, Trump still did nothing.

Almost no one in these agencies were fired. Instead, Trump left office with their entire partisan and Democratic Party infrastructure intact, allowing them to immediately begin working with the Biden administration to use their power to harass, arrest, and persecute conservatives nationwide.

Trump’s attitude today, as illustrated by the clip above, tells us there is no way he will return to the White House and do nothing this time. He is going to fire these partisan hacks in these intelligence agencies, wholesale. How else will he be able to function in office when he knows these people will not be his employees, but an active fifth column within his administration working to sabotage him?

We can therefore safely boil down all of Trump’s 2024 campaign promises to this one point. And based on his success at keeping his campaign promises after his 2016 election, we can feel safe that he will move heaven and earth to keep this new campaign promise in 2024.

Trump really means to clean house this time
Trump really means to clean house this time

We know also that Trump had already begun to reach this conclusion in the last few months of his first term in office. In October 2020, just before the election, he issued an executive order that would shift many federal managers from civil service positions, where they cannot easily be removed, into a new category dubbed “Schedule F” that will allow the President to remove them “at-will.” That order was to go into effective one day before the start of Trump’s second term, suggesting that he planned to finally begin that promised house-cleaning at that moment.

Unfortunately, that second term didn’t happen, and this executive order was immediately canceled by President Joe Biden.

As indicated by Trump’s comments above, however, we should expect Trump to immediately reinstate this order if he is re-elected. Though it will certainly be fought by that bureaucracy, the unions, and the Democrats, it will not matter. Trump will be entering office in 2025 now fully prepared to fight the enemy within his castle, and to do so without any misgivings.

Pray to God that Trump wins. His victory will then be truly historic, because it will force a major shattering in how Washington and the administrative state has functioned for more almost a century. Rather than being in control, that administrative state will find itself being shown the door, thus making possible a true renewal of American freedom.

The support of my readers through the years has given me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Four years ago, just before the 2020 election I wrote that Joe Biden's mental health was suspect. Only in the past two weeks has the mainstream media decided to recognize that basic fact.

Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Even today NASA and Congress refuses to recognize this reality.

In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.

Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Instead, I rely entirely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, which gives me the freedom to write what I think, unencumbered by outside influences.

Your column explains precisely why the Deep State and its Praetorian Guard has worked so hard and in increasing desperation to stop Trump. Their tactics have ramped up in increasing seriousness, to where the trend was obvious. Several observers (Tucker, etc.) predicted months ago that killing him was their last remaining desperate option. And voila! July 13, Butler PA. They weren’t supposed to fail in that, so look for another attempt, maybe sooner, but especially later. That is, if he can once again miraculously win and start the fumigation of the extensive vermin infestation in our formerly sane government.

  • Brewingfrog

They stand to lose quite a bit with a Trump win, which is why they will stop at nothing to prevent it.

If, by a cascade of miracles, Trump wins, he must wade into the bureaucracy with fire and sword. His political appointees must act with sufficient ruthlessness, and leave vast swathes behind them empty. No prisoners.

  • Treason under cover of politics is treason all the same. Under Marshal law those who seek the destruction of America and its Constitution can be prosecuted and removed from power. Ideally removed to Gitmo.

HE MUST *NEVER* BE *ALLOWED* TO WIN

If and when this radical political anti American, “Destroy the Patriarchy” movement goes down in flames at the ballot box then you will see the violence and chaos of angry delusional Marxist children in the streets.

This is what is at the foundation of what we are all witness to in American politics today:

THE PATRIARCHY IS DEAD! LONG LIVE THE PATRIARCHY!

    https://www.sigma3ioc.com/post/the-patriarchy-is-dead-long-live-the-patriarchy

The Globalist agenda is not dead, you can see it being unfolded in Europe right now. Europe as is America is being invaded and infiltrated by the Globalists and they are using Islam and the Marxists among us to fulfill their agenda.

And America MUST reject the entire thing at the ballot box in numbers that cannot be overcome by all of the softening that has been installed by the Democrat party primarily.

Are you paying attention yet America?

I think it’s obvious that Biden is not functioning cognitively. By extension, he is not functioning as president either. Neither will Trump if he somehow gets in. The state can run itself just fine without the executive.

I think it was General Flynn who said that in military issues, some problems can not be eliminated, only mitigated to various degrees. He was applying the principle to what we call the deep state or swamp.

It took decades to get where we are at. It probably can’t be fixed, they have too much power and are too deeply entrenched. Trump will try to clean house, but he can’t possibly remove them all. If it can be fixed it will take a few administrations and elections. You have to remove corrupt swampy Republicans, which is most of them; all progressive-marxists, and most of the administrative state. The citizenry has to be fully engaged and even willing to sacrifice when the tyrants strike back – And that’s not going to happen.

Trump is less ignorant now, he better understands what he is up against. He knows where the bodies are buried. Those people realize this too, and they don’t play by any moral rules. People aren’t kidding when they say those people will stop at nothing to maintain power. We are going to be appalled at what’s coming, if Trump ‘wins’ this election.

  • John, I.E. the need for Marshal law at some point will become necessary.

Guys, it is MARTIAL law. Look it up. And it doesn’t mean what you probably think it does.

  • I always thought it was Marshal law, Col B. Thankyou for the reinstruction.

I always thought it was named after General George C. Marshal: https://warfarehistorynetwork.com/article/george-c-marshall-the-indispensable-man/

Martial Law: ” Martial law is the replacement of civilian government by military rule and the suspension of civilian legal processes for military powers. Martial law can continue for a specified amount of time, or indefinitely, and standard civil liberties may be suspended for as long as martial law continues. Most often, martial law is declared in times of war and/or emergencies such as civil unrest and natural disasters. Alternatively, martial law may be declared in instances of military coup d’états.”

I still say that Martial law or something akin to it at some point may well have to exercised, especially if /when Trump prevails.

If the numbers at the polls are big enough and the Democrats cannot control it through the many impediments to fair elections that they have installed throughout the country, then they will in time have to take other more extreme measures.

And hopefully I am catastrophizing the entire thing, and I am incorrect and the Democrats and their radical “We are not going back” masses will just suck it up and get over themselves.

But I doubt it, they have come too far.

FWIW, although not having read the novel I always considered Dr Zhivago (movie, David Lean drctr) a diturbing realistic depiction of the ruthlessness of the Left, now coming to the US of A. Great movie incidentally, cinemetography, story line, acting (Omar Sharif, Rod Steiger, Alec Guiness, Julie Christie, etc),

First things first. I hope that President Trump survives long enough to take office. Next, he will only be able to put a dent in the deep state and some of Trump’s people will be attracted to a federal government position for the same self serving reasons as the current cast. So, the best we can hope for is some mitigation of what is basically a disease which is endemic to centralized government.

The only point of disagreement I have is your continued use of the term “Democrat Party”. That’s just a symptom of the fact that the democrats are currently the party pulling the establishment levers, not an actual root-level alliance between the bureaucratic organs of the deep state and the Democratic party agenda. The deep state will, occasionally turn on a Democrat who “goes off the reservation” and can serve as an example of their supposed neutrality. And appropriate Republicans can also get the deep state courtesy waiver for their mis-deads. Fundamentally, the bureaucratic organs of the deep state overlap and ally with members of the uniparty, whether nominally Republican, Democrat, or other.

It was quite the eye-opener in 2017, if people remember details of how things all began that long ago, when Trump was making serious noises about firing Comey, and “responsible elder statesmen” like Pence, McConnel, and McCain saying that no, Comey was a serious person and would keep the investigation on track, and they’d ensure that he did and intervene it if started going off the rails. And then it instantly went off the rails and they disappeared into the woodwork.

Trump clearly learned that lesson and stopped relying on established people from Washington, but then he ran into a problem of not being able to find or vet good people to use instead. That’s my main concern for a future Trump presidency, is whether or not he will be able to find, select and keep good personnel. His track record on that isn’t what I’d like, but it seems he’s identified that issue himself.

Personally, I think Trump should appoint RFK Jr as CIA director. Since the CIA was instrumental in assassinating both his father and uncle, it would be perfect irony to have RFK Jr clean house at the CIA. Unfortunately, all the other 3 letter agencies in the intelligence community would combine assets to take him out within a few months.

  • Chester White

Trump has terrible TERRIBLE judgment in people. Sessions, Pence, Mattis, Barr, Nielsen, Wilbur Ross, Kelly, Manafort, Omarosa, Mueller, Cohen, Tillerson… There’s a TON of them. I see no evidence that will change. RFK, Jr.? Jesus, the guy wanted to imprison anyone who had qualms with the current global warming hoax? So while of course he is superior to Kamala, I don’t see him accomplishing anything much..

  • Lee S

    Oh my, I shouldn’t, but I can’t help myself…..

Here is my take on things, from a European perspective, and then feel free to explain to me how I am wrong…..

Regarding Trump, I can only agree with Chester White… If you recall, I actually had high hopes for Trump. I genuinely thought that as a businessman he would surround himself with experts, and change things for the better. It seems his judgement was flawed, and apparently he is not an easy boss to work under. Things didn’t pan out as promised…

My biggest bugbear with trump is filling your supreme court with republicans… This is deeply un-democratic, I would say the same if it was full of democrats… If everyone is leaning in the same direction, a balanced judgement is impossible.

Harris…. I kind of like her, although I don’t know enough to make a firm judgement… I do like the way she has completely turned the presidential race around. Bob bangs on about the need for competition, and now Trump has it… Of course, me being me I am much more aligned to the ethos of her political party, (considered slightly left of center here… Considered communist on this forum! lol!), but if/when she gets elected in, not much will change. No doubt a few things for the better, perhaps a little more help for the most vulnerable in society, funded by a little more tax on the wealthiest, but your politics are so tied up with lobby groups and business interests I really don’t think anyone will notice much of a difference, looking from a distance.

Ok, now it’s you guys turn to talk down at me like I’m an ignorent child, blinded by blah blah blah…. Go for your life…. I’m drinking my delicious Friday night beer. Love and lite

  • Chester White and Lee S: You both miss the entire point of my essay. I note in detail how Trump in his first term was naive and ended up depending on too many Washington establishment types (as Chester ably lists). What the clip of Trump in my essay illustrates is that he is not the same naive man. He now sees the Washington swamp for what it is, and will no longer trust it in any way.

His discussions with Elon Musk about giving him a position in the next administration illustrates this. With someone like Musk in his camp, it will be much easier to vet new candidates for appointments, and easier to cull out the people with divided loyalties who put Washington ahead of the nation.

Nor is Musk the only new face coming from outside. Vance is another. So are many new faces in the Republican Party that the voters have successfully put in power in the past decade, replacing RINOs.

You are fighting the last war. We need to look at how things have changed since 2016-2020 to understand what might happen in 2024-2028, if Trump should win.

  • “WHO NEEDS A POLICY WHEN YOU HAVE TRUMP TO HATE?”

Robert: I didn’t miss anything. I don’t think Trump will magically develop the ability to choose able/honest/capable subordinates all of a sudden at the age of 78. He is too subject to flattery and agreeing with the last person who spoke to him, as has been widely discussed. Don’t think there is much doubt that this is his character and weakness. As I say, he beats the hell out of this economic illiterate clown Kamala, but I have limited faith in the notion that he will get enough done. We need to chop off about 30% of the federal government on day one to start and I do not see it. Sure hope he wins, though.

  • Lee S

To be fair, and pertaining to this conversation, This is part of what Trump meant when he said he would only be a dictator on day one of his presidency…. A quote taken shamefully out of context by the main stream media. That whole crap storm embarrassed me…. IMO there are enough things Trump has said which could be analysed and criticized without cherry picking a few words and blowing them up without any reference.

And I agree with Chester White regarding an old dog not being able to change its spots… To quote myself from my previous post.. ” It seems his judgement was flawed, and apparently he is not an easy boss to work under. ” , he talked a good talk on his previous successful campaign, but whatever you say Bob, there is no reason to believe he can walk a better walk now. At 78 there is no reason to believe his judgement and temperament have improved. He had 4 years to learn lessons, and didn’t. Why would anything be different now?

To disagree with Chester White, I sure hope Harris wins… Even though I have no dog in the race, I believe she is more representative of the vast majority of US citizens rather than being representative of comfortably off, aging white men, ( which includes, as far as I can tell, every regular poster here… Myself included )

  • You know, Lee S, you being a self-hating white man there are steps you can take to proactively rid the world of people like you.

Be an example to the movement, to the collective.

    To quote Contour

“You know, Lee S, you being a self-hating white man there are steps you can take to proactively rid the world of people like you.

Be an example to the movement, to the collective.”

Contour…. Are you so lacking in argument that you are encouraging me to kill myself?

This is the second time in as many times as I have commented on political subjects that you have blatantly wished harm upon myself and my family….

Why do I scare you so much? I live an ocean away! ( An ocean I can only presume from your blatant ignorance you have never crossed )

I’m not going to go hang myself on your request, I will just sit back and chuckle about how I annoy you enough for you to even suggest such a thing.

It seems not impossible to me that my balanced reasoning, devoid of the conspiratorial theory’s you love so much is giving you a touch of cognitive dissonance, hence you explicitly wishing me harm.

I understand dear…. It’s ok! Just stop reading/watching echo chamber content, start taking in a few dissenting opinions and try actually thinking for yourself. This, and perhaps a nice hot bath with candles. If you relax and chill out a bit you might stop coming across as such a nut job!

Much love and light to you and yours! XXX

( Oh, just a quicky… I don’t hate myself… I’m pretty bloody ok in the opinions of my friends, my family, and myself… I’ve no idea where you pulled that idea out of, but I’m guessing it’s somewhere the sun don’t shine! xx)

  • Conspiracy theories!?

  • Lee S wrote, “I sure hope Harris wins… Even though I have no dog in the race, I believe she is more representative of the vast majority of US citizens rather than being representative of comfortably off, aging white men, ( which includes, as far as I can tell, every regular poster here… Myself included )”

In this one quote Lee S has illustrated quite starkly the shallow and racist thinking of the left. He admits quite openly that his primary reason for favoring Harris over Trump is because she “represents … the vast majority”, while Trump is only “an aging white man.” In other words, he makes his choice not on who might have the best policies, who might be more qualified due to knowledge or experience, but instead who has the best and politically correct skin color.

As I’ve noted before in criticizing DEI hiring policies at airlines, picking someone because of their race or ethnic identity instead of their actual experience, talent, or ability to do the job is no different than picking someone because of their eye color. It is foolish and irrational.

Lee S however buys into this approach, and sadly, he is like so many other leftists in doing so.

  • “And now the Democrat party is stuck with not Gavin Newsome, failed governor of the Communist state of California. No, no, the Democrat party taken over by the worst anti Americans among them has been forced to accept a person for the presidency of the United States of America just because she is a woman and has a slight skin tone who is wholly unqualified to run a donut shop.”

IMO it goes much deeper than just personal bias or being shallow. Which Lee S and his compatriots most assuredly are.

Lee S is a self-hating Liberal soon to be Leftist by default “white man”. Lee S actually hates that FACT that he has white skin. And that is a self-induced mental condition caused by some misplaced guilt and some imagined historical responsibility and is not based in any form of objectivity or rational thought.

This is the mantra of the radical left and he parrots it.

It is not the nature of man that causes abuses of power, itis the color of a person’s skin that causes it.

And the fact is that every skin tone throughout history is fully populated with men and women, skin color aside, that have abused power.

The radical Left expertly has fashioned this mental tick into the minds of the weak minded. And it is very effective.

The weak minded and oh so “moralistic” among us are where the real danger in life rests.

  • Lee S: ““You know, Lee S, you being a self-hating white man there are steps you can take to proactively rid the world of people like you.

Be an example to the movement, to the collective. Contour…. Are you so lacking in argument that you are encouraging me to kill myself?”

I am encouraging you to reform the manner in which you think and see the world.

Being a self-hater is not healthy, you have come to incorrect assumptions and conclusions.

    Deep breaths…..

Ok quoting Bob.. “In this one quote Lee S has illustrated quite starkly the shallow and racist thinking of the left. “…… Errrm , no…. I actually said I am not that knowledgeable about Harris… But I do think Trump has a hell of a lot of interests in the rich white men sector… I don’t give a flying fig about her race, or sex, but I do think she comes, or at least appears to come from a different place than Trump, much as Trump appeared to come from a different place than the political normal.

I love the way that you guys enjoy putting words into my mouth, and knowingly twisting my comments. I am neither stupid or nieve, I am simply outside looking in, rather than inside looking out of the raving mess you call USA.

I also love the way that you guys constantly crow about having the greatest “democracy” in the world, then constantly cry when things don’t quite go your way when the votes are counted.

You can call “vote rigging” … In the most watched elections in the world, you can call me biased should you wish… Claiming I am biased against any sex, creed or color is simply wrong. I could give zero figs about any of the above… I just pointed out that the vast majority of posters here are middle aged white men, from comfortable backgrounds… If anyone can prove me wrong I will at my own expense fly from Sweden to take all the regular female posters of color on BTB out for dinner.

The political discussion on this forum is an absolute echo chamber… If you only get genuine human interaction from folk that agree with you, you will end up with the mindset found here… Anyone not down with the program is a loony left danger to society…… If you have a long think about it, you guys have actually become the thing you fear the worst. A political groupthink with one point you have been taught to fear. It’s sad to see, but you have taught yourselves that if you do not get your way then the sky will fall in. ( Shhhh… A word from the left… The sky won’t fall in…. )

And Cotour… Perhaps you were not implying that I should hang myself….. But your comment came across very much implying as much. However I would rather hang myself than read another paragraph on that loony right conspiracy filled nutcase website you keep linking to… Try reading a few decent, trusted news sites, you know, the ones that include links to genuine sources and stuff… I see you have an open mind… Perhaps you could fill it with facts rather than grimm fiction!

  • Lee S: I merely quoted your own words, and made clear their very evident meaning. You put identity first in your analysis. You very well might consider other factors (which are certainly more important) but you told us quite clearly in that quote what you place as your most important qualification.

If I have to make a choice in any election, the very last thing that comes to mind is the identity group the candidate belongs to. In fact, I really never even consider it. Why is it your first?

  • “I am neither stupid or nieve”

You must be at least one or the other.

    Remember, its them, not you.

If President Trump directly promises to drain the swamp, then he might be someone worth voting for. However, he missed his four most important promises from 2016:
    — Drain the Swamp

    — End sanctuary cities (now there are sanctuary states, thanks to him)

    — Build the wall (he got a little of it built)

    — End Obamacare (he stoped a small part, but we are forever stuck with all the rest, but Trump thinks this failure was a success, so he has a strange sense of victory).

His track record is poor. Maybe Robert is right, and Trump will be much wiser and much more aggressive. Whether that could end in success has yet to be seen.

Meanwhile, an indirect hint at a non-promise does not bode well, considering the actual promises that were missed during his last time.

    Ok…. Let’s keep this going…

Quote Bob ” You put identity first in your analysis. You very well might consider other factors (which are certainly more important) but you told us quite clearly in that quote what you place as your most important qualification.”

Quote me ” I don’t give a flying fig about her race, or sex, but I do think she comes, or at least appears to come from a different place than Trump, much as Trump appeared to come from a different place than the political normal.”

Pretty self explanatory…. Of course I align more with Harris than Trump, but only because of my political outlook, nothing to do with me being driven by identity. Remember that I previously favoured Trump over Hillary… Although I was proved wrong (IMO).

    Quote Contour

““I am neither stupid or nieve”

You must be at least one or the other.

    Remember, its them, not you.”

I am neither… Have you ever considered it’s you not us? …. I argue my own space, and have never felt the need to link to conspiracy websites or random YouTube videos to prove my point. As I have said before dear… Go take a long hot bath and chill out to a spot of ambient music. If you ever want to actually debate me point to point I am happy to, if you stop implying that I should kill myself.

    @ Edward…..

I am not trolling…. Far from it… I am bringing a much needed touch of the left to what is essentially the best space related blog on the internet, and an echo chamber for right wing politics for older white guys… ( Yes, I’m doing it again… But I class myself in the same group, hence I can… We are all in that same section of the ven diagram, it’s just our circle of political leanings that do not converge )

I certainly do not troll for responses… I speak my mind… I am pretty much a free speech absolutist… You are as welcome to your opinion as I am to mine. And I am as welcome to call you out if I think you are wrong as you are to me. I do like to try and make people examine their beliefs, to encourage people to explain themselves, and perhaps have a deeper dive into why those believes are held so dearly… But trolling… No…

Edward… We have discussed/argued over a few topics here over the years…. And I consider you a worthy opponent… Your head is screwed on the correct thread, ( unlike some ) , it’s just, from my point of view, pointing in the wrong direction…

    Your turn..

  • Lee S

    Sorry Edward… I didn’t address your point directly…

    Quoting Edward, quoting me..

    “You complained:
“Ok, now it’s you guys turn to talk down at me like I’m an ignorent child, blinded by blah blah blah…. ”

You have done this before. You made a comment that you thought would get a rise”

If you look at the general replies I tend to get to my comments, I very often get spoken down to…. Just like I am an ignorent child… My reasoning and intelligence are often questioned, and I am often accused of living in a “fantasy world”… Not by every poster here, but it happens regularly. I was in no way trying to provoke a response, just trying to head off the inevitable attacks before they arrived… Unfortunately Cotour didn’t get the memo… ;-)

  • “I am neither… Have you ever considered it’s you not us? ”

    In a word NO.

You have given me no reason to consider such a thing.

“If you ever want to actually debate me point to point I am happy to, if you stop implying that I should kill myself”

We have been engaged in an ongoing debate and all you have supported has been your feelings about your feelings. And in those discussions, it always comes down to you getting upset and deciding to never comment again on BTB. There is a reason for that.

My positions have been supported by detailed historical facts related to government and the nature of man related to the abuse of power. I write extensively about it. My detailed personal experiences and observations and conclusions. My pretty well-founded and fleshed out personal philosophy on the subject.

I have seen nothing of the sort from you.

    Maybe it is me?

    NAH.

As an example: If you, Lee S, were an American this is what you would be all about:

    AMERICAN POLITICAL DEATH CULT

“The Democrat party exclusively controlled cities in America are no friend to the demographic of people that they say they are dedicated to. The Democrat party is their greatest threat, they are an American political death cult.”

    https://www.sigma3ioc.com/post/american-political-death-cult-1

Like everything I post it is pretty well detailed, well thought out and well developed.

    You want to disagree?

Have at it, tell me, explain to me why I am wrong.

But that will not be happening., ever. Why? Because there is nothing there there.

Just like Kamala it is a facade, it is a fraud.

You are probably a nice enough guy though. Which means exactly nothing.

    You keep self hating.

  • Lee S

    @ Cotour..

Just a quick response to your “saying nothing” comment before I go to bed.. some of us have work tomorrow.

Ok… To answer your post, you blah blah blah, then claim if I was born, grew up, whatever, in the US, I would be a member of (quote) the “AMERICAN POLITICAL DEATH CULT ”

Ermm… No I wouldn’t….. Id be a democrat for sure, but whatever mental fragility you have that gives you the idea I would end up in any sort of cult is strange.. very strange.

You then waffle a bit, and then link to that crazy conspiracy site you enjoy so much, telling me whatever madness lies on the other end of your crappy link refutes…. What exactly?

What have I written that you disagree with so much? And without redirecting to untrustworthy sites, please tell me how I am wrong!

I’m off to bed now, in my nice warm apartment, in the morning I will ride to work on my electric bike, work 8 hours, pay my 32%tax, ride my bike home again ( on well maintained cycle paths, and through nicely curated wildlife ) cook dinner for myself and my children, take a couple of beers, then hit the sack… Probably very similar to your routine…

If you lived here, the only things you would notice differently are… ( bad ) , higher taxes… ( Good) Better health care, cheaper medicine, better education system, better funded social housing, a more transparent government …. The list actually goes on and on.

I’m tired, it’s time for this pinko commie to go to bed…. Just remember girls and boys… You don’t drop off the edge of the world at the US’s east and west coasts!

  • You would be a lock step BORG like Democrat if you were an American.

“If you vote in support of the Democrat party and what they are offering and selling, then you are what they are, you are them. You will be directly responsible for the consequences whether you understand it or not. Your ignorance related to their psychological manipulations and propaganda which they are expert at will not exempt you from responsibility.”

    Here you are:

    You make a handsome robot.

  • GaryMike

Been off-line for some time. Late May to early August. Illness and too much time in bed.

My modem died after years of continuous service at almost the same time.

Really sucked all around. No internet access, no bank access. No investment account access. No bill paying access. No Amazon. Beached whale sorta times.

Now out of bed, feeling right, and a new modem and Internet access, I popped into BTB to see what has been going on.

Reading these comments, I’m not inclined to repeat the effort. I’ll return to read MR. Z’s content, but the comment sections no longer interest me. There’s nothing actually worth the time reading and trying to process. Mr. Z similarly critiqued my own attempts to contribute.

It took a while and some distance to make it sink in.

Leaving comments turned on has a real cost.

  • Lee S

    Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen,

Cotour, I have to give credit where credit is due, you are a master of the implicit, rather than explicit insult….

Quote, ( cut from above post ) “Your ignorance related to their psychological manipulations and propaganda” ….. I’m getting called ignorant again!

I am not an ignorent man, I am not stupid, I am not nieve, although I call out all of the above when I see it.

I prefer the left (not the loony left you guys enjoy over there), but as I have stated so many times my nose is bleeding, I live in a society with a transparent government which taxes higher, but provides a greater social safety net, greater public service, better health care, subsided childcare, better education than you have over there …. Which leads to more healthy citizens with decent paying jobs, paying more taxes, and paying back into the system.

I live it… I am no robot.. I get to think for myself… I have freedom of speech and thought.. and if I think the government is doing a bad job I get to cast my vote and replace them.

It is you good folk of the US of A that are somewhat blinkered…. You cannot fathom a system other than your own that works… That doesn’t involve blind herd like behavior, but I’m here to tell you that you are wrong. There are other options available.

To everyone that considers me some kind of rabbit in thrall to left wing ideology …. Get yourself a passport, get yourselves out of your comfort zone and come and visit Europe! Come and visit Sweden… ( I will act as a personal tour guide to any BTB reader ) , and your mind just might be blown over how things really work this side of the pond!
