Cronies ‘R’ us
“Cronies ‘R’ us,” an illustrative example of why conservatives don’t trust the Republican Party.
As this story points out, the problem in Washington is not merely the fact that the Democrats like to spend other people’s money like water (which they do). It is also because too many established members of the Republican party have been all too willing to join them in this spendthrift behavior.
It is for this reason the tea party movement exists, and why so many established Republicans, like Richard Lugar in Indiana, are getting kicked out of office. The movement isn’t partisan, it is merely focused on making whatever progress it can. Kick out Democrats wherever possible, and do the same for those Republicans who like to be me-too Democrats.
The support of my readers through the years has given me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Four years ago, just before the 2020 election I wrote that Joe Biden's mental health was suspect. Only in this year has the propaganda mainstream media decided to recognize that basic fact.
Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Even today NASA and Congress refuse to recognize this reality.
In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.
Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Instead, I rely entirely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, which gives me the freedom to write what I think, unencumbered by outside influences.

The true test of the TP will be whether or not they vote out the people they just voted in.
You realize that if certain legislators have their way, I could not be posting this under an alias. I suppose they would have insisted that Thomas Paine, James Madison and John Jay also publish The Federalist under their true names. Anyway, you are absolutely right, Robert. The issue is not which party should be in power, but rather whether those entrusted with the public’s money will spend it carefully and wisely. At the moment, the majority of Congress do not. This is a fight that will probably last for decades, just as it took decades to build the ridiculous entitlement ediface that currently exists. But it is a fight we dare not lose. Otherwise our descendants will curse us for it.
Grammar fixed. Thank you. I have been writing faster than I have been reading lately, and these kinds of errors then creep in. Thus, I always appreciate when readers point them out so I can correct them.
