House Democrats threaten to withhold salaries from Trump officials
The various House committees now run by the Democrats who have been demanding information and testimony from a host of Trump administration officials, some very inappropriate and even possibly illegal, are now threatening to withhold salaries from any Trump officials who defy their demands.
House Oversight and Reform Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) sent letters Tuesday calling for eight current and former Trump administration officials to provide information for two of the panel’s investigations, cautioning that officials who block the interviews from taking place could see their salaries withheld.
“Please be advised that any official at the Department who ‘prohibits or prevents’ or ‘attempts or threatens to prohibit or prevent’ any officer or employee of the Federal Government from speaking with the Committee could have his or her salary withheld pursuant to section 713 of the Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act,” Cummings wrote in the letters.
Cummings is one of two House committees threatening this action.
I doubt they will be able to follow through with this threat, but I am very sure they mean it and will do it if they can. And this illustrates better than anything the difference between the weak-kneed Republicans in Washington and the Democrats. The Republicans are generally afraid of their own shadow, and are never really willing to use the law or the evidence aggressively to gain a political advantage. The Democrats meanwhile always mean business, and will do whatever they can to get what they want. This is why we are losing the country to these thugs.
And it is also why we have Trump today. Unlike those cowardly Republicans, Trump also means business, and is willing to fight. I might not always agree with him, but so far he has been very straight about what he wants to do, and he has done everything he can to aggressively achieve those goals.
I just wish we had a few more people on the right side of politics with the same courage.

The Democrats and their servants the MSM continue their counter intuitive strategy. They believe that releasing not Trumps actual taxes but tax information that some IRS inside leaker apparently has provided revealing that Trump had losses in his business. SO WHAT!? All that in reality means is that Trump knows what he is talking about regarding business and the economy.
Why? Because Trump survived his trial by fire and came out the other end more than rather than less than and is more experienced than any Democrat that is lined up to challenge him.

All they are creating is 1. A further and growing outrage in Trumps base because of the unfairness of the whole attempting to weaponize the IRS. And 2. They are creating compassion for Trump in the attempt to shame him in their own supporters as well as Trumps supporters in the American public.
The Left would be better off just coasting and forgetting that Trump was the president and get on with the business of the people. This would throw off the general trajectory of the Trump landslide. Democrats should support Trump.
It is very apparent to me that all they are doing is further digging their own graves and this will accelerate and grow exponentially as the election nears.
The American people are fundamentally fair minded and these desperate perversions only illustrate that the Democrats have nothing. And in order to create something you turn things upside down and backwards. But they are unable to do that, they will continue down the road to political hell where they will burn in this uncontrollable cleansing political cycle.

This dynamic also explains why the media and social-media companies are engaging in targeted censorship, deplatforming, and unpersoning campaigns. The democratization of communication threatens party control over news, media, and the public.
I’m not sure how that is supposed to work. They’d have to pass a law (that Trump would need to sign) and I don’t see that happening. Someone needs to tell these folks that they only control 1/2 of 1/3 of the branches of federal government.

catastrophic defeat from the jaws of certain victory. Just look at the pathetic Mitt Romney.

I had thought in 2017 that we had narrowly escaped a repeat of 1917, but since the 3rd world
invasion of the USA continues at full speed I fear the next election will be decided by several million
Mexican and Central American guaranteed-Democrat voters.

Lets participate in a little thought experiment:
The strategy may develop to, and hold on to your coffee cup, to grant all illegals in the country as a of a certain date citizenship with the full rights to have their income taxes confiscated to pay for everything that the illegals that would follow them would demand from them. This of course would come with the completion of the wall where necessary and the real reform of the U.S. immigration laws.
You might just see a dramatic change in the theory about how these people were guaranteed to vote in the real world. If they can be made to understand that where they just came from is exactly what they do not want now that they are citizens and their citizenship comes with certain special responsibilities and they must guard them. Their new citizenship is an asset and they have skin in this game.
Most people who come from other countries are not pro open borders because they know better, they are not stupid like the Democrats demand that all Americans be in order for them to retain or acquire power.
Just like the Democrats need to flip the script on the Republicans, so the Republicans must flip the script on the Liberal now Leftist Democrats especially on this particular issue.

Look at Trump, too. The Republican leadership did not want him as their nominee or as president, but that is what they got anyway. This is why so many Republicans were behind the recent failed coup d’état. Former FBI Director James Comey was a Republican until 2016, and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Special Counsel Robert Mueller are still Republicans.
We had been told that these people were good and trustworthy, but they all turned out to be part of the swamp — attempting to cause catastrophic defeat despite a decisive victory. While they had the presidency and both houses of Congress, the Republican Party missed many opportunities to get their way and to make good on promises, but their own stupidity about Trump kept them from taking advantage of their advantage. What stupid, stupid putzes.
