Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. I keep the website clean from pop-ups and annoying demands. Instead, I depend entirely on my readers to support me. Though this means I am sacrificing some income, it also means that I remain entirely independent from outside pressure. By depending solely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, no one can threaten me with censorship. You don't like what I write, you can simply go elsewhere.

You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are five ways of doing so:

1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.

2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation.

Study: Children are so immune to COVID-19 that even after extensive exposure they test negative

A new study has now confirmed what the very early research had suggested, finding that even when children are repeatedly exposed to the COVID-19 virus, they not only develop no symptoms, they also test negative to the virus.

The research, led by the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) and published in Nature Communications, showed that despite close contact with symptomatic infected parents, including one child sharing the parents’ bed, the children repeatedly tested negative for COVID-19 and displayed no or minor symptoms.

MCRI’s Dr Shidan Tosif said compared to adults, children with COVID-19 usually have very mild or asymptomatic infection, but the underlying differences between children’s and adults’ immune responses to the virus remained unclear.

In other words, children are completely immune from COVID-19. Moreover, they don’t even get infected, which means they can’t even give anyone else the disease. There is absolutely no reason not to reopen all schools immediately, allowing children to return to normal activity, without masks.

Granted this study only observed a single family, but its data must not be ignored. Note too that both parents also completely recovered, which is not surprising as this virus doesn’t appear to kill anyone unless they also have other very serious chronic illnesses. Just like the flu.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

I know! I have it right now, been 6 days since I lost my sense of taste. Been playing with my 3.5 year old daughter every day for hours on end and she has no symptoms.

It’s an interesting case study Bob, and even though I think you are probably right, it is never right to take a scientific standpoint from a sample size of one.
Interesting case study, but don’t compromise your scientific credentials by citing a study with a P of 1 as proof of your theory.

  • Lee: You are correct, it is only one family. I noted that fact. I also however also linked to previous research that got the same result. If I had wanted to spend the time, I could have found more links to other research that also confirmed the same thing.

All data on COVID-19 and children has consistently come back the same: They are essentially immune, and don’t pass the virus on to anyone.

Doesn’t matter though. We are in an era where facts can be ignored.

    Depressed.

But that story will never become “public knowledge”, because the main stream media will simply ignore it.

  • That’s why I’ve pretty much determined NOT to get the vaccine. I had a childhood filled with colds, flu, and just about every major child’s disease – measles (both kinds), mumps, chicken pox, etc.
I figure I’ve got the constitution of a horse by now. I’m just not inclined to take another vaccine, one that hasn’t a long track record.
Even if it means that I can never travel on a plane again, or work, or even be able to visit a doctor again (or use my Medicare benefits). Just – no.
