Today’s blacklisted American: Rhode Island Democrats propose oppressing everyone who hasn’t gotten COVID shots

Key language in Democrats' oppressive law
Click for higher resolution screen capture.

Blacklists are back and the Democrats have got ’em: Proposed legislation by the Democrats who control Rhode Island’s government will both double the state income tax as well as impose a monthly $50 fine on anyone who has not yet gotten COVID shots.

Furthermore, employers will be subject to a monthly fine of $5,000 if they are found to be harboring any employees lacking shots.

It also appears the law demands all children of all ages must get the jabs as well or their parents will also be subject to the daily $50 fine. Though the article at the link suggests the law does not apply for anyone under ten, I could not find that exemption in the law’s language.

In addition, the only exemption allowed will be medical, and it must be signed and notarized by three doctors, and even that exemption can be rejected by Rhode Island’s health department.

You can read the bill’s text here [pdf]. The key language is in the screen capture to the right, the fines highlighted.

State Senator Samuel Bell appears to have written the bill and is its lead sponsor. This statement from his website is particularly revealing in its hate and cluelessness:

My mother raised me to be a Democrat. She raised me to believe that everyone–no matter who they are, where they come from, or who they love–deserves an equal shot. When I saw the Tea Party start to threaten the America I believe in, I got angry, and I got involved.

He sure doesn’t believe in giving everyone “an equal shot” when it comes to the jab.

Since Rhode Island’s state government is completely controlled by Democrats, we should not be surprised if this oppressive law is passed. Its legality however is quite questionable. It certainly violates the fourteenth amendment of the Constitution requiring equal treatment before the law, every civil rights law passed since 1964, and the Nuremberg Code that says no person can be forced to submit to any experimental treatment against their will.

Legalities aside, there is no scientific justification for this law. None. It is being proposed without thought, by people who are consumed with fear and hate and cannot tolerate anyone disagreeing with their irrational cultlike love of the COVID jab. Rather than reconsider their blind faith in these shots because others have doubts, these thugs, led by Sam Bell, would rather impose a form of martial law, based on forcing everyone to inject an experimental drug into their veins.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

And what about what Max posted?

The evidence of fraud and malfeasance is overwhelming. Even Elon musk in a recent interview warned of the population decrease is a catastrophic problem. (At 1:03)

Maybe we just have to wait them and their irrational medical positions out? Time may take care of this problem, unfortunately it may take some innocent people with them who mindlessly allowed these wana be autocrats to lead them right off a cliff. Everything in moderation.

Don’t forget, get your boosters Liberal / Leftist and now clearly insane and desperate Democrats.

What do they do to employers found harboring any illegal immigrants?

Rhode Island is a very small state. It is thus inexpensive to move to a neighboring state.

It’s a violation of the Nuremberg code… Unless you rewrite history in your own image and intentions!

“It is acknowledged world wide that the Code does not have the force of law behind it. Each principle enunciated in this code has been widely acclaimed and explained but the deficiencies in the code have not been commented upon. There are some glaring errors, some wrong usage of language which need to be understood, in order to appreciate why this document, so revered and respected, fails to fulfill any purpose at all. Additionally, the Nuremberg Code is a document which has copied ideas from the 1931 guidelines, and since it has been done without acknowledging the source, is guilty of plagiarism.”

In other words, forbidden unauthorized experimentation on the masses is an old-fashioned concept and can be ignored. The ends justify the means if you tell everyone it’s for the children…

“The last word in ethics has not been written; even the latest version of the Declaration of Helsinki needs some changes and will undergo numerous revisions with time. Ethics is an ever evolving subject,[7] and repeated revision of ethical codes is evidence of improving human morals and values.”

    For sample;
under a “new ethical framework.” Considering only “biomedical benefits” in fetal therapy was not enough, co-wrote Grady. Under the new framework for such a medical field, “Studies that meet this overall proportionality criterion but have mildly unfavorable risk–benefit ratios for pregnant women and/or fetuses may be acceptable.”
    https://rightsfreedoms.wordpress.com/2021/09/09/conflict-of-interest-faucis-wife-runs-bioethics-department-at-nih/
Ethics are fluid and depend upon the circumstances… Will it make her husband and his friends rich? Then it’s OK. After all it is more ethical to experiment on humans than it is on animals.
If it walks like a Nazi, talks like a Nazi, acts just like a Nazi… No wonder they ignore the Nuremberg code.

Speaking of which, The United States withdrew our involvement in the Nuremberg treaty 2002, possibly to cover-up or ignore experimentation on gulf war soldiers.
(Of which 20,000 soldiers died young of various weird conditions after taking experimental vaccines during and after the war.)

Time to move! Just left New Jersey to Texas earlier this month. Flying with two toddlers and two cats is no fun, but it is doable apparently.

Unfortunately we flew just before they lifted the mask mandate. At least they didn’t insist on my two year old wearing one (or the cats).

    From State Senator Samuel Bell:
When I saw the Tea Party start to threaten the America I believe in, I got angry, and I got involved.

He didn’t believe in the America that he grew up in.

Blair Ivey asked: “Whatever happened to “My Body! My Choice!”?

Where was that choice when she was getting herself knocked up?

Nancy Reagan was right: Just Say No.

The Democrats didn’t like her, either. They don’t like anyone that doesn’t agree with them completely. Apparently, that is the type of America that Senator Bell believes in.

    And No means No, right?

    Not when the Democrats disagree.

Welcome to Obama’s fundamentally transformed America, land of the formerly free and the America Senator Bell believes in.

The fact that this bill has little to no chance of being passed by Delaware’s legislators and signed into law seems to be drawing little notice here. Why is that? And no acknowledgment of the man’s sick child that seems to have influenced his thoughts as he crafted his bill?

In our country, with 535 folks introducing bills at the federal level, thousands of such folks at the state level, and Lord knows how many folks at the county and city/town/village levels of government all capable every day of introducing vehicles to become laws/ordinances, the pickings are easy.

So silly in my opinion to draw grand overarching conclusions. Or perhaps intellectually lazy.

Unless I’m wrong and all the above excited folks live in Rhode Island. In that case I apologize for intruding on your… commentary.

  • Cotour

    David:

What about the fact that someone, an American legislator who has sworn an oath to the concepts contained within the Constitution had to sit down and confabulate this bill that forces people to without doubt have injected into their body an experimental drug?

There is absolutely no justification for an offensive to free people’s lives bill like this, but there it is all the same.

To support something like this is to justify the government doing whatever it or one of their agency’s dictates must be. And that is 180 degrees from the intent and construction of the Constitution.

The bill may have zero chance of being passed and implemented, but the fact that someone sat down justified and wrote it is what needs to be concerned about. The bill is purely subjective and dismisses any attempt at being objective and balanced.

“So silly in my opinion to draw grand overarching conclusions. Or perhaps intellectually lazy.”

I would say that its intellectually lazy and silly to begin writing the bill in the first place. I would add ignorant.

Being compelled by the government or one of its all-powerful agencies to do such a thing as having an experimental drug injected into one’s body without any choice and suffer great financial harm is unreasonable and un-American.

And anyone who supports such a thing can be considered a “Progressive” in the worst sense of the word, this is the slippery slope on the road to the Communist Chinese model of governance.

Understand it or not this is what you propose, obedience or death. And the Chinese government may have to kill most of these people ultimately in order to protect them:

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/china-covid-shanghai-cases-record-lockdown-omicron-variant/

    Your argument? Silly.

  • Milt

David has a point, although I am not sure that he and I would agree on its implications.

“In our country, with 535 folks introducing bills at the federal level, thousands of such folks at the state level, and Lord knows how many folks at the county and city/town/village levels of government all capable every day of introducing vehicles to become laws/ordinances, the pickings are easy.”

All true, but there still remains a sort of Overton Window for legislation — in the most basic sense, does it further people’s well being, guarantee equal protection, and comport with the Constitution — and this bill is clearly a two standard deviation class outlier from that norm. Not to mention that it “shocks the conscience” of most people who read it.

As to whether or not it may be passed by Delaware’s legislature, well, here we are back to the question of just how many people (and their elected representatives) in our country / culture / society no longer wish to live under the old umbrella of Enlightenment concepts such as free speech and the Rule of Law that were very deliberately incorporated in the government bequeathed to us by the founders of this nation. Ones guesses that State Senator Samuel Bell is such a person.

Looking back over the last two years, the real take-away for me has been the discovery of just how many people living in blue states and cities genuinely seem to want to abandon the American Experiment in favor of something much more like what obtains in Communist China, Cuba, or even North Korea. In short, they WANT the government to tell them what to think, keep them safe from “disinformation,” and map out every facet of their lives for them, complete with social credit scores and the opportunity to be welded inside their own homes on the orders of state health bureaucrats if that should be deemed necessary. If you doubt this, just look at recent events in Canada.

Probably most readers of this column do not think this way — or even imagine that people *can* think this way — but there are a growing number of people, particularly in our most important institutions, who do indeed look at the world in this fashion, and their thinking lies behind such things as the proposed bill in Delaware. Likewise, more and more people in blue states and cities agree with them, and they want nothing more than to abandon our present form of government with all of its “unfair” (if not irredeemably racist /
    planet-destroying) structures and provisions.

Senator Bell’s proposed legislation, in this sense, is not so much outrageous as it is a remarkably clear statement of just how far we have come toward wanting to live in a very different kind of society and adopting a very different set of beliefs about what constitutes a “good” one.

    WEEEEEEEEE! THE SLPPERY SLOPE

The slippery slope is being turned into a U.N. run international water slide to Global government domination.

Global leaders unite in urgent call for international pandemic treaty (who.int)

COVID-19 shows why united action is needed for more robust international health architecture (who.int)

“We are, therefore, committed to ensuring universal and equitable access to safe, efficacious and affordable vaccines, medicines and diagnostics for this and future pandemics. Immunization is a global public good and we will need to be able to develop, manufacture and deploy vaccines as quickly as possible.”

I don’t know if you noticed how orderly, competent, respectful and equal our own government in the United States acted during the Covid event as they forced many to take into their bodies an experimental drug without much choice for most or lose your job, or be ostracized, or be cancelled, or be locked down, or wear a mask. Did you notice how competent, respectful and fair they were?

And now the next step is that an international organization of nations, in the form of the U.N., seeks to be able through an international treaty to manage you and your ability to make decisions about your health and the medical procedures that you might or might not seek during a declared emergency.

If you have ever doubted that there are forces in the world who seek to essentially own and control you and your family, you can Alay that doubt. Here it is, anyone who controls and can compel what and when you are to receive any medical modality effectively owns you. Case closed. Covid was but a dry run, a proof of concept, both for the new mRNA technology and the ability for government to condition and train the many populations around the world, IMO.

Can you hear me now? Listen to them when they say what they say.
