Today’s blacklisted American: Twitter blocks Libs of Tik Tok for the crime of reposting actual leftist statements

Twitter: Home for censorship
Twitter: Home for censorship.

The new dark age of silencing: Twitter yesterday suspended for twelve hours the account of “Libs of Tik Tok,” preventing the anonymous woman who runs it from continuing to post actual Tik Tok rants by leftists as well as the public school teachers who insist on promoting sexual perversion to children (but then I repeat myself).

The account was suspended for “hateful conduct,” which is a broad and vague category used by Twitter to suspend accounts that violate a policy that is equally broad and vague.

The policy says that “You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.”

So what specifically was Libs of Tik Tok’s “hateful conduct?” We do not know, since Twitter as usual did not provide any specific information. However, Libs of Tik Tok has been in the forefront of making the public especially aware of the large number of very sick and dangerous people who now teach in the public schools. And she does this with very little commentary. Instead, she simply digs about in Tik Tok and finds their own rants, and simply republishes them on Twitter. As they tend to be ugly hateful screes that actually promote the idea of perverting young children without the knowledge of their parents, no commentary is needed. They condemn themselves. More important, their own words have done much to energize parents nationwide to retake school boards and force such evil people from the schools.

If you don’t believe me just take a look at the site. Right now there are several such rants from leftist teachers, insisting that parents should have no say in what the schools teach their young children.

Of course, the leftists who run Twitter cannot have this, since they are allied with these corrupt teachers. Too much free speech reveals their agenda, and that is a threat. So yesterday Libs of Tik Tok was shut down temporarily, though you can bet this is only a shot across the bow. As Libs of Tik Tok has previous written:

It’s a matter of time before I get suspended. Never know which post will be my last. If you want to make sure you keep receiving my content, go to the link under my bio and sign up for my email list. I’ll publish some exclusive stuff for email subs, too. Thanks for your support!

Yesterday Twitter finally sent that warning shot. Give the thugs that run that company another month or so, and I am certain Libs of Tik Tok will be shut down, simply for republishing for all to see the actual perverse leftist agenda being promoted in the public schools.

In other news yesterday that is directly related, Elon Musk announced an offer to buy Twitter for about $43 billion, for the express purpose of ending its censorship policies. From his filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC):

I invested in Twitter as I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe, and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy.

However, since making my investment I now realize the company will neither thrive nor serve this societal imperative in its current form. Twitter needs to be transformed as a private company.

As a result, I am offering to buy 100% of Twitter for $54.20 per share in cash, a 54% premium over the day before I began investing in Twitter and a 38% premium over the day before my investment was publicly announced. My offer is my best and final offer and if it is not accepted, I would need to reconsider my position as a shareholder.

As expected, the leftists in the media and in Twitter are not happy about Musk’s offer. CNN immediately published this article outlining what may happen, focused entirely in describing ways in which Musk can be blocked. Furthermore, this tweet indicated the resistance from within Twitter:

Billionaire Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, who runs the investment firm Kingdom Holding Company in Saudi Arabia, another large Twitter shareholder [at about 5.2%], tweeted Thursday that the offer doesn’t “come close to the intrinsic value of @Twitter given its growth prospects … I reject this offer.”

Despite the dirty financial politics of this potentially hostile takeover, the root of the battle is clearly Twitter’s policy of censoring conservatives or anyone who opposes the political agenda of the left, such as Libs of Tik Tok or many legitimate Republican politicians. Only Democrats and communists (like China) get a free ride.

It appears Musk is now leading the pushback against Twitter’s enthusiastic embrace of silencing and censorship. We can only pray he succeeds.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

from zerohedge, “Well this is awkward: TWTR board hired Goldman to “advise” it that the @elonmusk $54.20 offer is too low. Only problem: Goldman has a SELL rating with a $30 price target. Oops.” even if the sale doesn’t go through, the entertainment value is fantastic.

Cannot have the lefts statements out there actually being used against them…

    Oh the horror.

  • The market value increased from Musk’s offer of $54 a share, to $30 a share.

I believe Musk’s stated that if his offer was accepted, he would take the company private. In my opinion, that makes it seem much more likely the Saudi Prince’s objective is maximizing the return his current stake would net rather than the political machinations suggested.

$54.20/share might be too low if one looks at projected revenues/multiples two years from now. Musk raising his offer or one or more new bidders jumping in doesn’t seem impossible. The Prince (and others) might be relishing the thought of a bidding war for the company.

Or, given Musk’s personality, I wouldn’t be surprised if he awoke one morning soon and just decided to focus on some other company or person and then proceed to cash out some or all of his position at a nifty profit.

Even though I have no use for Twitter in my own life, this spectacle is going to be entertaining!

    “A country marinated in falsehood”

Here is another perspective on Musk’s attempt to take on Twitter:

    https://kunstler.com/clusterfuck-nation/youve-been-misinformed/

    As James Howard Kunstler observes:

“All this coerced insanity has been nurtured by social media’s sly mechanisms for bending narrative into propaganda: their beloved algorithms, all fine-tuned to destroy anything that touches on truth. The result is a country so marinated in falsehood that it can’t construct a coherent consensus of reality, and can’t take coherent actions to avert its own collapse.”

As Mr. Kunstler goes on to suggest, we may be looking at something like a turning point in many Americans’ acceptance of this unhappy state of affairs. If Elon Musk should be successful in his efforts, going into the midterm elections later this year, there is no telling what sort of disruption of the official “narrative” we might see.

For those of us who view all of this in the context of an ongoing cultural civil war, this may be one of its most important battles, akin to the Battle of Chancellorsville or Midway in World War II, proving that, yes, the Jacobins who have taken over Washington and so many of our institutions *can* be defeated. (The governor’s race in Virginia was an important skirmish in this campaign.) Let us hope so.

The problem, as Mr. Kunstler also suggests, is that the “mighty forces” marshaled against Elon Musk are well aware that they are in a life and death struggle to retain their influence and power, and they are not going to “go quietly.” The ongoing EPA / FSW mandated shutdown of Starship launch activities at Boca Chica may be just one more move on the chessboard of power politics, and — as predicted — the left’s cancellation machinery (Musk is a racist.) is already in high gear.

    Why Twitter? Why Musk?

    https://youtu.be/SWmIXsVzO68

Elon Musk understands that his entire basket of business models depends on reasonably regulated Capitalism and people being able to freely choose what they do, say, where they live and what they own. A model that is in real terms threatened by the Globalist model that the extreme Left specifically in America has attached itself to. And we have all witnessed that truth in the past 2 to 3 years without doubt.

Musk also understands that over and above his own personal business interests and aspirations the interests of the American people and the people of the world benefit greatly by the existence of the American model of governance and its guarantee of free speech, Capitalism and the concepts that structure and counterbalance the nature of governance related to the abuse of power contained in the Constitution.

If there exists a private company that has acquired a power in the world to effectively censor what the people can know and speak about then that private company is a direct threat to everyone’s good lives and the core of America, its Constitution and Capitalism.

AND, what is the tendency of a private company that has acquired such power? They will ally with those powers in government that think as they do and that is the foundation of real and oppressive Fascism.

    So, why Twitter? Why Musk?

    FREEDOM!

And some measure of true freedom is something that those on the wacky extreme Globalist Left and government who seek to run your individual lives in every detail cannot allow. In their minds they own you and they must manage you as one manages so much cattle.

And this IMO is exactly what Musk at this point in time clearly understands and he alone is the one person that can do something about it. (Can you imagine if he was more on their side rather than that of freedom? I shudder to think)
