An evening pause: In 2017 I posted an evening pause of this band, when Daniela (on guitar) was 14 years old, Paulina (on drums) was 12 years old, and Alejandra (on bass guitar) was 9 yrs old. Today’s evening pause is from their 2023 tour in Mexico (where they are from), celebrating the band’s tenth anniversary. To put it mildly, they are a bit older.

They can definitely rock. And they are all gorgeous – which I find to be normative for latinas in their late teens and early 20s. And which, no doubt, has a tonic effect on the size of their male fan base. Shrewd to pick an English-language band name too. These ladies were apparently considering their international appeal quite early-on.

After bemoaning what Rock had become since the the corporate model took over, I discovered The Warning.
I accidentally clicked on this very same performance and was gobsmacked by what I’d just watched. Since then I’ve watched as more and more folks have discovered them. Their superpower is live performance.
Someone once said, “Rock didn’t die, it just moved to Mexico.”

I could never even dream of performing as well as they do, but for me, a song dialed up to 11 essentially from start to finish is a bit boring.
