- Sierra Space shows off Dream Chaser mock up
This is just empty PR. Sierra Space is taking forever to build Tenacity, the first cargo version of its proposed Dream Chaser fleet. In fact, its pace rivals Blue Origin for slowness and non-achievement.
- Virgin Orbit’s press release on the launch failure out of Cornwall
No new information, other than the failure occurred because of the “premature shutdown of the first burn of the second stage.”
- Three launches from China expected this week
The map at the link shows the drop zones for the rocket’s lower stages within China.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

The Sierra Space thing was *last* January…
Thank you for pointing that out Mac. Sierra Space tends to post a lot of their past achievements when they have nothing new to post. A lot of times they show pictures of all their drop tests from many years ago. I will be more vigilant with Sierra Space.
That this picture shows something from a year ago only reinforces the slowness of Sierra Space. It doesn’t have anything new to show, one year later.
Robert Z, it’s not just the photo – the Sierra Space article itself is from Jan 2022, for last year’s CES. I’m not sure they exhibited anything at this year’s CES.
