Eric Clapton – Cocaine
An evening pause: Performed live 2015. The directing however is very mediocre. During the very spectacular piano solo he or she seemed more interested cutting in a lot of random shots rather than showing what was really amazing, the piano player’s performance.
Still, a great performance. Hat tip Cotour.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. "Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News
I have been curious why Upjohn didn’t license this song for their minoxidil product. But, I can understand why a drug company wouldn’t want to be associated with, uh, drugs.
That being said, that was one hell of a performance!
That is what all of those rich white 60 and 70 somethings paid $2,000, $3,000 and $5000 dollars for a ticket for.
True story. When working as a truck driver I was in the company yard trying to shove a mattress into the sleeping bunk of my truck. Other drivers and staff were here and there in the area taking care of their business. THIS song happened to be playing on the radio of my truck. The mattress I was struggling with bumped the radio and turned it up to, like, full volume. I couldn’t reach the radio to turn it down because the mattress was in my way. It was so embarrassing. Others around me may have been thinking that this song really meant something special to me.
