The liberal union that controls the IRS.
Connecting some dots: The liberal union that controls the IRS.

The house of cards begins to fall: A union is calling for the repeal of Obamacare.
Our Union and its members have supported President Obama and his Administration for both of his terms in office.
But regrettably, our concerns over certain provisions in the ACA have not been addressed, or in some instances, totally ignored. In the rush to achieve its passage, many of the Act’s provisions were not fully conceived, resulting in unintended consequences that are inconsistent with the promise that those who were satisfied with their employer sponsored coverage could keep it.
These provisions jeopardize our multi-employer health plans, have the potential to cause a loss of work for our members, create an unfair bidding advantage for those contractors who do not provide health coverage to their workers, and in the worst case, may cause our members and their families to lose the benefits they currently enjoy as participants in multi-employer health plans.
But don’t worry, come the next election this same union will continue to support the same Democratic politicians that gave us Obamacare, because party partisanship is far more important than common sense and rational leadership.
The law is such an inconvenient thing: An appeals court has unanimously decided that Barack Obama violated the Constitution when he tried to make appointments to the NLRB when the Senate was not in recess.
The Constitution is very clear on this issue (see article I, section 5). It is up to the Senate to decide when it is in recess, not the President. Obama’s attempt to ignore the clear words of the Constitution here is an ugly example of his willingness to place himself above the law, something no American citizen of either party should take lightly.
It is the audience that counts: The attendees at a labor event laughed and applauded the president of the Chicago Teachers Union when she joked about killing the rich.
Union negotiations: Police say union workers “almost certainly” torched an under-construction Quaker meetinghouse in northwest Philadelphia four days before Christmas.
Leftwing civility: Union thugs yesterday also destroyed the hot dog cart of an innocent vendor, calling him “N*gger” and “Uncle Tom” while they did it.
And they call Tea Party people racists? What vicious bigots.
Photos of the union thug who punched Steven Crowder today in Michigan: Do you know who he is? More here.
Meanwhile, Crowder has challenged the man to a fight in the ring, with the proceeds going to charity.
More leftwing civility: The teamster boss today predicted a “civil war” in Michigan if the union doesn’t get what it wants.
Leftwing civility: A Democratic state representative threatened violence on the Michigan House floor today over the passage of a right-to-work law in their state.
Update with video: a mob of union thugs rip down the tent of a conservative group, while people were inside. More details about the violence here. More video here, showing these creeps as they attack Steven Crowder and push the tent down with a woman inside.
The day of reckoning looms: The willingness of a small union to bankrupt Hostess will help do the same to many other companies.
And guess what? It is because of another ill-conceived federal law.
Be careful what you wish for: Hostess Brands — already in bankruptcy — has decided to shut down because one of its unions refused to end a strike.
The closing will result in Hostess’ nearly 18,500 workers losing their jobs as the company shuts 33 bakeries and 565 distribution centers nationwide, as well as 570 outlet stores. The Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union represents around 5,000 Hostess employees. “We deeply regret the necessity of today’s decision, but we do not have the financial resources to weather an extended nationwide strike,” said CEO Gregory Rayburn in a statement.
So, because 5,000 union workers wanted more from a company that had nothing more to give, 18,500 lose their jobs, including those same union workers.
Sounds sensible, and right in line with most leftwing math.
Look for the union label: “We don’t want you unless you’re part of the union.”
The result: no power for people in New York and New Jersey for far longer.
A New Jersey town tells a volunteer utility crew from Alabama to go home — because they are non-union.
Leftwing civility: T-shirts being sold at a union event celebrate the future death of Margaret Thatcher.
Emails by Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and others in the Obama administration now show that, under the GM bailout, they purposely terminated the pensions of 20,000 retirees solely because they were not union members, and then lied to Congress about this.
Does this make you feel safer? The TSA has agreed to allow its workers to unionize.
Scott Walker has won the recall election in Wisconsin by a large margin, 53-46 percent, more than predicted and exceeding his vote total in his 2010 election victory.
Tone deaf: The union representing maintenance crews at Belmont is threatening to go on strike on Friday, just prior to the Belmont Stakes where the horse “I’ll Have Another” has a chance to win the Triple Crown.
With more than 100,000 fans expecting to attend the race as well as millions more watching on television, a strike will do wonders in sealing the union’s image in the public’s eye.
Leftwing civility: “We’re going to put a bullet in your head. We know where you and your family live.”
Slap on the wrist: Twenty doctors have been fined $500 to $4001 and made to attend ethics training for giving out fake sick notes at the Wisconsin union demonstrations last year.
Meanwhile, the results of the changes began coming in. In Milwaukee, the reforms saved some $11 million, an embarrassing windfall for Democratic mayor Tom Barrett, who had predicted that the city’s structural deficit would “explode.” Localities across the state have seen similar savings. There is no disputing the central fact of Walker’s tenure as governor: His reforms are working.
Those protests apparently backfired: Union membership dropped by 16,000 last year in Wisconsin.
Obama’s crony government: Labor unions have been gettting the bulk of Obamacare waivers.
Why am I not surprised? A slap on the wrist for the Wisconsin doctors who handed out fake sick notes during the protests last year.
The Wisconsin teachers union is trying to get a teacher fired for doing a commercial in support of Governor Scott Walker.
Government extortion wins! Boeing has agreed to concessions to its Washington state union in order to settle their NLRB suit over Boeing’s new South Carolina plant.
A labor strike today has canceled an Ariane 5 rocket launch.
Union civility: A union in Washington state has been held in contempt for the violence that took place during a protest at a grain terminal. Some testimony:
Security guard Charlie Cadwell, employed by Columbia Security for patrols at the Longview grain terminal for the past two months, told the judge of the harrowing experience: Every protester he saw that night was carrying a weapon – baseball bats, lead pipes, garden tools. “I didn’t see a longshoreman who didn’t have something in his hands,” he said.
He was was pulled out of his car by one longshoreman, and another man swung a metal pipe at him, he said. “I told him, ‘You have 50 cameras on you and law enforcement is on its way,'” Cadwell said. “He said, ‘(expletive) you. We’re not here for you, we’re here for the train.'”
In the meantime, someone drove off with his car and eventually ran it into a ditch. Cadwell said about 40 to 50 people were throwing rocks at him, and that he was hit between his eyes and in his knee.
Union civility: Two union protesters have been arrested in Washington for the violent takeover of a grain terminal. Also, police have confirmed the use of racial slurs and signs by union protesters in North Dakota.
So it was for the children, eh? Wisconsin teachers retire in droves after new law is passed.
