Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. I keep the website clean from pop-ups and annoying demands. Instead, I depend entirely on my readers to support me. Though this means I am sacrificing some income, it also means that I remain entirely independent from outside pressure. By depending solely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, no one can threaten me with censorship. You don't like what I write, you can simply go elsewhere.

You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are five ways of doing so:

1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.

2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation.

3. A Paypal Donation:

4. A Paypal subscription:

5. Donate by check, payable to Robert Zimmerman and mailed to

It appears that a number of Senate Democrats have been demanding, in writing, that the IRS harass conservative organizations since 2010.

Not in a vacuum: It appears that a number of Senate Democrats have been demanding, in writing, that the IRS harass conservative organizations since 2010. More details here.

The same Democratic chairman of the Senate Finance Committee who this week is calling for hearings into IRS activities, specifically called on the IRS to engage in that very conduct back in 2010. And he wasn’t the only one. Just last year, a group of seven Senate Democrats sent another letter to the IRS urging them to similarly investigate these outside political organizations.

I mean, really, what’s the IRS for if not to harass your political opponents?

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

They better find someone to admit to illegalities and take the fall for all this fast.

Otherwise it might just reach out and stick to them for the next election.

Get ready for a year of investigations and accusations. Followed by a few low level flunkies taking the fall.

The bets the conservatives can hope for is that we stretch this out and it keeps enough anger up for it to effect the next election.

We need to take back all three houses. And hold them for the next 20 years. We can do it but we need to start working on it now.

They can hold power for 8 years if we can hold it for 16 or more. Eventually we will find a way and power to replace their failed philosophies with ones that work, ours.

Well it looks like Miller resigned.

Considering he didn’t get there until 2 years after this crap started its just a bone. A bone thrown to the republicans in hopes of keeping the hounds off for a little while. The longer they can be kept away the smaller the bites they will take.

Don’t fall for it people. Demand the old director be brought up on charges (even though he was appointed by Bush that doesn’t mean he wasn’t a democrat).
Demand that everyone with an office be investigated and anyone with a title be removed from the governments pay role.

  • Forbes wanted postcard tax forms and elimination of the Gestapo IRS. You can’t blame AZ.
