On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The print edition can be purchased at Amazon or from any other book seller. If you want an autographed copy the price is $60 for the hardback and $45 for the paperback, plus $8 shipping for each. Go here for purchasing details. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

I’m sure it’s me, but I can’t get the first number to work.
Gary,
You are correct, those numbers are each missing a digit. I tried it myself and finally noticed it. Those same numbers were on the Space Show email as well. No worries, the show will be available tomorrow for download.
I am saddened however that you and others couldn’t get on and join in. I have let David Livingston know so he can make sure it doesn’t happen again.
Speaking of phone numbers…
Has anyone else noticed that the cool kids have decided that the new way to write out phone numbers is 5551984666 instead of 555-1984-666 that everyone has gotten accustomed to over the last century or so?
Yesterday, I was sent an email reminder for our cat’s appointment at the vet’s office, and the confirmation number was presented in this format. (The “smart” email also neglected to specify which of their two locations we would be visiting.) Try reading this new format when you are distracted / in a hurry and trying to dial the number quickly. No matter, some 20-something year-old decided that this was BETTER than the old way, and it was oh so modern and cool. Where is Dante when we need to determine which circle of Hell such people belong in?
Show is posted.

I have never been able to even listen to Dr. L’s show live never mind calling in. I tried numerous times some years ago using various devices and rolled snake-eyes every time. The Good Doctor’s communications infrastructure, I’m pretty sure, was ginned up by Alexander Graham Bell himself.
Milt:
I have not seen that format, and if presented, it will not result in a call. Not every new thing is cool, or even good. I suspect this will die fairly quickly. Like ‘Okay, Boomer’.
