Today’s blacklisted American: Chase Bank closes Lt. General Mike Flynn’s credit card accounts because they don’t like his opinions

They’re coming for you next: Chase Bank has unilaterally closed the credit card accounts held by President Trump’s first National Security Advisor Lieutenant General Mike Flynn, either because they don’t like his political opinions or are terrified of the left’s wrath if they don’t blackball him.

The language from Chase’s terse cancellation letter to Flynn, also shown to the right, is most revealing:

We decided to close your credit cards on September 18, 2021 because continuing the relationship creates possible reputational risk to our company.

You may receive additional account closing notifications if you have other accounts under a different name or address. [emphasis mine]

In other words, because Flynn is conservative and a strong supporter of Trump, he can no longer have credit cards with Chase Bank. Essentially, Chase Bank has now told us that it considers any conservative or Trump supporter a pariah that they cannot have any association with. Such an association might hurt their reputation!

If conservative Americans have any courage, they must immediately endorse Chase’s policy, and cancel all their accounts as well.

This action is part of a larger pattern first established by Obama and his legacy of hate. Since the Democratic Party is now a party with an irrational communist agenda based on bigotry and hate, it can’t debate that agenda rationally with the right. Instead, its political debating tactic must now demonize and defame their opponents. The left wants them hounded from society, so they cannot point out the left’s corruption and bankruptcy.

More important, the left also wants every neutral person in America to know that if you dare defend these conservatives — based on the fundamental rights of all Americans to freely express their opinions — you will face similar hounding. The left has made it very clear: Keep your mouth shut and let these conservatives be burned at the stake, or else you might be burned as well!

Chase has bought into this fear campaign, either by agreeing with it or kowtowing to it in fear.

If Americans of all political stripes do not begin to fight back aggressively against this intolerant blackballing the blackballing will only increase exponentially — as it has in the past five years since Trump started his first presidential campaign — until it reaches the point where opponents of the Democratic Party will routinely face arrest and long term imprisonment, rather than simply getting their credit card accounts canceled or being banned from Twitter or YouTube.

Fighting back now however requires some real courage. You truly do risk losing your job by challenging the intolerant actions of the left. However, will that job be worth anything if we no longer live in a free society, but instead are under the thumb of an oppressive dictatorship whose only interest is garnering power and wealth to itself, everyone else be damned?

As Thomas Paine said at the onset of the American Revolution,

Do Americans any longer have the courage to defend freedom against tyranny? We are about to find out.

    The real answer is to strike back the same way, with the weapons we have. Fox news needs to start pushing for the same treatment for the likes of Jesse Jackson, Cuomo, etc. Trump should be out there with his megaphone telling people “xxx bank won’t do business with you, but is perfectly happy to have Cuomo’s millions. Make them pay.”

    The real problem is that the financial institutions are so insulated from minor push-back. I have an auto loan through Chase, and it’s not even my choice, that’s just who my auto manufacturer transferred it to. And it would cost me significant money in closing fees to refinance that with another lender.

    Michael Flynn isn’t necessarily even a right-wing guy. But to be associated in any way with Trump you must be erased. Reminds me of the Soviets air brushing people out if photographs.

    General Flynn is literally a hero (I dont use that term lightly) who has given his life to protect America – the persecution he has received since 2017 makes me so angry. The Democrat party and the left are evil.

    That made/makes him a threat to the professional-political complex.

    And they are willing to throw away respect for liberty, to interdict that threat.

    Another example of how the line has blurred between governmental and private action to curb dissent.

    1 solution is to stand on the corner outside of Chase, holding a sign that tells customers that Chase is canceling accounts of conservatives.

    Another solution: schedule an appt to open an account, and after taking some of their time setting it up, cancel your plans and tell them why. Or stand them up, and don’t show up.

    Imagine if Chase bank did this to someone who was advocating for equal rights?

    David Eastman – get together the bucks and payoff your car loan early even if you go to a local Credit Union for the Dough. Keep the interest out of Chases’ pockets.

    I closed my Chase Accounts when they, under the Reign of Obama Hate, started to close the Merchant Accounts of gun dealers.

    I am cancelling with Chase this morning. I stopped buying Coca Cola products, gave up my Macy’s account when they no longer would carry Trump apparel, started purchasing Goya products (their Sofrito is delicious), buy my grandson’s athletic apparel from any company but Nike, etc. We have to stand up to these tyrants…..let 1/2 their customers leave them. And for what?
    So their reputation will stay intact??? Give me a break. Done with these fools.

    So, private business owners were not allowed to use their beliefs to choose whom they could serve and lost their livelihoods. The photographers, flower shops, bakers, printers. And here, we have a publicly traded company stamping out a customer? Folks, you just cannot make this stuff up.
    My kids have warned me not to be a “canceler” or a boycotter but when does this madness end? It ends when we hit them where it hurts. Their bottom line. It is utterly astounding to me that we are now not allowed to live and let live.
    Years ago, the controversy around gay sex was “What goes on behind closed doors…” No one cared. But now? We are forced to accept it or be canceled. Our kids are being taught things they don’t need to know based on that whole premise and that science doesn’t matter. Buckle up, kids. It’s getting uglier by the minute.

    First Choice – find a local Credit Union that you like, move you accounts to them.

    Second – find a local and regional bank, open accounts there.
    When someone closes your account you still have other options, Use three providers. Some conservatives have had their cards cancelled when they were out on the road, thus stuck with no way home.

    Since many gun dealers and manufacturers have had their merchant accounts closed by Bank America who kept their balances for months thus causing them not to be able to pay workers and vendors owed- very few financial units stood up for them. A list of Banks that rated WORSE on a gun banners list are possibles:

    Good luck on the credit union. You will be far more likely to find a conservative friendly privately owned community bank than credit union. In my city the largest credit union is the most leftwing financial institution in town. Its officers pulled ads from radio stations that supported a pro-life city ordinance as well as have refused to advertise on stations with conservative programming. Decades ago I owned a computer maintenance firm and I had dozens of credit union clients. About 2/3rds were run by leftists in a region 65 to 70 percent conservative. Community banks advertise with me and often provide free accounts for local campaigns, etc. I highly recommend you do business with local/regional community banks – that’s where small businesses bank.

    I have written Chase (and I received a curt response) informing them that I will cut up and return my credit card to them after I have paid off the outstanding balance. The tenor of the curt response I received suggests that I am not the only one to tell them what I think of their vindictive, juvenile attitude toward General Flynn.
