A Justice department official today refused to rule out the idea of passing a law that would criminalize speech against any religion. With video.

The exact wording of the question: “Will you tell us here today that this administration’s Department of Justice will never entertain or advance a proposal that criminalizes speech against any religion?”

Despite being asked the question four times, the official consistently refused to answer the question directly. In other words, the Obama administration would consider criminalizing speech against religion. Or to put it more bluntly, they don’t believe in freedom of speech.

I wish he would have just let the witness speak and allow him to dig a large, black hole for himself, the congressman / senator seemed to be

impatient and by not allowing him to speak he looks like he is shaping the witnesses testimony regarding the answer.

Keep in mind these are all lawyers trying to out manuver and one up each other .

Pure show politics focused towards voters in a constiuencey where the politician needs to appear strong and make his opponent appear

to reject the first amendment, IMO.

(I don’t doubt what the adminstrations anti Constitutional agenda is, but I want to hear them squrim trying to tap dance their way around it)
