    Maybe it’s too obvious to see or too sensitive to print…

    It’s mission is to test satellite survivability during space warfare. Beoing’s website, until recently, detailed a declassified program it undertook years ago dealing with the standardization of parts and interfaces of American satellite components. Modularity, and standadardized software were strongly implied.

    The XB-37, with its ability to change orbits, is testing this interchangability andin-situ repair and refueling.

    If a cluster of American military satellites is attacked, the mix-and-match nature of the satellites’ hardware and patchable or reprogrammable software will allow the U.S. to salvage a fair amount of the cluster’s various functions while the enemy’s satellites are K.O.d.
