Spectacular 3D image of Mars from Mangalyaan
Cool image time! Using an image taken by India’s Mars Orbiter Mangalyaan from about 1,153 miles altitude, Indian scientists were able to create a 3D projection of Ophir Chasm, one of the side canyons of Valles Marineris, the solar system’s largest canyons.
The image itself had a resolution of about 96 meters per pixel.
