Today’s blacklisted American: Woman denied kidney transplant in Colorado because she is unvaccinated

The unvaccinated denied healthcare in Colorado
No healthcare in Colorado permitted for the unvaccinated. Let them die!

Persecution is now cool! A woman who has stage 5 renal failure was suddenly told by UCHealth (University of Colorado Health) — just before her kidney transplant operation — that she was banned from the hospital because both she and her donor are unvaccinated.

“Here I am, willing to be a direct donor to her. It does not affect any other patient on the transplant list,” Jaimee Fougner, Leilani Lutali’s kidney donor, told CBS4. “How can I sit here and allow them to murder my friend when I’ve got a perfectly good kidney and can save her life?”

Lutali said she received a letter from Colorado health system UCHealth at the end of September explaining that she and Fougner have 30 days to begin the vaccine process. They would be removed from the kidney transplant list if they refuse the shots. “I said I’ll sign a medical waiver. I have to sign a waiver anyway for the transplant itself, releasing them from anything that could possibly go wrong,” said Lutali. “It’s surgery, it’s invasive. I sign a waiver for my life. I’m not sure why I can’t sign a waiver for the COVID shot.”

According the article, when they first scheduled the surgery in August they were told by the hospital that being unvaccinated was not a problem. This changed suddenly in late September, at the last moment.

It appears the patient, Lutali, had decided against getting any vaccine because of its many unknowns, including the adverse and very serious reactions that many patients have experienced. The donor, Fougner, has not gotten the vaccine for religious reasons.

Both patient and donor are now trying to find a hospital outside of Colorado to perform the operation.

The most insane quote from the article is this:

UCHealth said it implemented the vaccine policy for the safety and health of its patients.

UCHealth is certainly not protecting Lutali’s safety or health. Because of its irrational fear of a disease that kills less 1% of those who get it, UCHealth has essentially sentenced this woman to death. Note too that both the patient and donor have waived any liabilities for the surgery because of its high risk. Why block it over a virus that is far less deadly? Why can’t they sign a waiver for COVID as well?

Idiotic and cruel decisions like this from too many of today’s health care professionals has destroyed the entire reputation of the scientific and medical community. People once trusted their judgment, because the goal had been above all to find the truth and to best serve the patient. That trust is now gone because of stupid actions like this.

It might be worthwhile to let UCHealth know what you think of them. You can find contact information here.

If Americans don’t rise up in rage over this madness, death camps will soon be here.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

    Coercive and shameful.

Ah! When Obamacare (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) was being imposed upon us, we had been warned of exactly this kind of thing: give government control over healthcare and government will control who receives healthcare — despite the promise that Obamacare would give everyone access. So much for the protection of the patient. Yet another failed promise of Obamacare. We already discovered that Obamacare was unaffordable — even Congress begged Obama to make them exempt, because it was unaffordable to them (and they make four times as much as the average American; if they can’t afford it, what chance do the rest of us have?).

There was a time, just a couple of days ago, when all we had to worry about was how to pay for healthcare, because we had been guaranteed by law to receive care whether or not we could pay. Now: not so guaranteed.

So much for our right to healthcare. The tyranny grows.

Welcome to Obama’s fundamentally transformed America, land of the formerly free.

  • Physicians have the responsibility to treat patients as they are able, and to “first, do no harm” … not to simply go with the flow of submissive trust in “authority” and its moral calculus.

  • Edward … part of individual liberty is maintaining the right and ability to work around the errors, delusions, lies and self-serving agendas of our alleged leaders.

This is something many of our neighbors, particularly those inclined towards the Left but many on the Right as well, do not perceive in their trust and dependence upon the Pedestaled Elite to solve their problems for them “free of charge”.

One more reason to move Space Force.

The Josef Mengele School of Medicine would provide superior service to the sick than anything in Colorado!

The fruits of Affordable Care Act; one more bitter harvest, and a harbinger of the control the Left wants to impose. “Everything within the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State.”

If the policymakers doomed me to certain death because of their decrees, I would have nothing to lose if I wanted to make a *strong* statement to them personally.

Jester Naybor wrote: “part of individual liberty is maintaining the right and ability to work around the errors, delusions, lies and self-serving agendas of our alleged leaders.

That may be the major part of liberty:
    liberty
    noun
    1. freedom from arbitrary or despotic government or control.
    2. freedom from external or foreign rule; independence.
    3. freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, hampering conditions, etc.; power or right of doing, thinking, speaking, etc., according to choice.

So it seems that it is the hospital administration, not the doctors, who are the tyrants in this case. As far as I know, there is no national decree that all must be vaccinated, just a statement of desire from the White House. Unless individual states have made such a mandate, all these businesses and schools are merely fulfilling the White House’s tyrannical wish list. The hospitals, on the other hand, are under federal control through Obamacare, so what the White House wants, the medical community is now obligated to provide. Tyranny abounds in several of America’s industries, and healthcare is a large part of our economy (1/6th, last I heard).

So much for the Preamble’s promise that the purpose was to “ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America” “in Order to” “secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity

The people we elect as our fearful leaders have lost their way, and we lost our country with the signing of Obamacare into law. Only now are some people beginning to see that.
