Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Ghouls and Monsters in Gaza

Hamas in all its monstrous glory

Word fail. For any decent human being, the behavior of the Hamas killers today in releasing the four bodies of their kidnapped hostages — which included a baby and a toddler — was beyond monstrous.

The picture to the right gives only a sense. The coffins were put on display on a stage, with celebratory music blaring. The poster in the background shows the faces of the four dead hostages, including a 9-month-old and a four-year-old, with a vampire-version of Bibi Netanyahu dripping blood on them. A large crowd of several thousand was there to watch, with many cheering. The coffins were then carried one by one to Red Cross vehicles while that crowd cheered and the music blasted. Even UN officials were offended, noting that the parading of bodies violates international law.

The coffins themselves were locked, and Hamas provided no keys. Before they can be pried open so that the bodies can be properly buried, Israeli technical experts have to first determine if the coffins are booby-trapped. (Sounds insane, but would you nonchalantly pry open one of these Hamas-sealed coffins?)

Hamas tried to put the blame on the death of these four innocents by claiming they were killed by an Israeli bombing attack. That however is utterly irrelevant, even if it was true. These four human beings were ripped from their homes on October 7, 2023 by Hamas/Gaza savages and imprisoned in the hellhole tunnels of Gaza, merely because they were Jews. Hamas is entirely at fault.

UPDATE: Forensic evidence has now shown that the baby and toddler were actually murdered about one month after their kidnapping while in captivity, and the woman’s body was not of their mother, Shiri Biba, but of an anonymous unidentified body. In other words, Hamas dug up a body of some unknown person and gave that back to Israel. At this moment we have no idea if Shiri Biba is alive or dead, though she is most likely dead but Hamas did not want to release the body probably because it would have revealed more evidence of their savagery. I suspect they raped and tortured her before killing her.

Worse, Hamas is proud of what it has done. At no point has the leadership of Hamas ever backed off from its goal of killing all Jews, worldwide, and then all Christians, in order to establish a worldwide caliphate of Islam.

As Islamic scholar Robert Spencer noted in documenting this horror show,

The Nazis didn’t do this. The KKK didn’t do this. Despite claims that are circulating, the Israelis never did this, and even the claims that they have killed babies remain unsubstantiated at best. No one did this. The celebration of evil, the glorification of murder, the cheering at the sight of the coffins of murdered innocent civilians, including a tiny baby — this is a savagery, a bloodlust, that the world has never seen before.

The faces of babies held hostage desecrated
In support of Hamas, leftists in London
desecrated images of baby Hamas hostages
with Hitler mustaches

He then notes correctly that it is this celebration of evil that the left so blindly supports, claiming madly that somehow Israel, and only Israel, is to blame.

Though I strongly suspect that many in that crowd of Gazans were there mostly to show support of Hamas out of fear of what might happen to them if they didn’t, we must not be naive. For almost twenty years, since Hamas took control of Gaza, it has been indoctrinating its children to hate Jews. Everything we have seen since October 7, 2023 proves the success of this indoctrination, from the mob of non-fighters that streamed out of Gaza to help the Hamas terrorists rape and murder on that day to the daily repeated and enthusiastic support of Hamas for holding these hostages in hospitals, schools, and in the homes of ordinary Gazan citizens.

Trump’s proposal to repatriate all these Gazans to other lands, to scatter them worldwide, at least recognizes this reality. Allowing them to regather inside Gaza, with Hamas still in power, will do nothing to stop the bloodshed. Hamas will work to re-arm as it continues its indoctrination of the next generation, and another massacre is sure to follow. By scattering them they break the power of Hamas, and allow these people to start over in a more normal situation.

The problem is that Trump’s proposal ignores another reality. Even if many won’t say so, everyone recognizes the now murderous and hateful nature of this Gazan population. No one wants them, for these very reasons, because no one believes they will assimilate peaceable.

It therefore appears increasingly that the only solution in Gaza is the one Israel has wanted to do since October 7th: total and unconditional victory. It should be given the freedom to do whatever it needs to do to kill Hamas entirely, even if that requires it to kill a lot of so-called non-combatants. Very few people in Gaza are innocent bystanders. They all must therefore learn their desire for murder will no longer be tolerated.

Readers!

Every February I run a fund-raising drive during my birthday month. This year I celebrate my 72nd birthday, and hope and plan to continue writing and posting on Behind the Black for as long as I am able.

I hope my readers will support this effort. As I did in my November fund-raising drive, I am offering autographed copies of my books for large donations. Donate $250 and you can have a choice of the hardback of either Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8 or Conscious Choice: The origins of slavery in America and why it matters today and for our future in outer space. Donate $200 and you can get an autographed paperback copy of either. IMPORTANT! If you donate enough to get a book, please email me separately to tell me which book you want and the address to mail it to.

Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. My analysis of space, politics, and culture, taken from the perspective of an historian, is almost always on the money and ahead of the game. For example, in 2020 I correctly predicted that the COVID panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Every one of those 2020 conclusions has turned out right.

Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Instead, I rely entirely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, which gives me the freedom to write what I think, unencumbered by outside influences.

You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are four ways of doing so:

1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.

2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation.

3. A Paypal Donation or subscription:

The Gazans should not be scattered worldwide to other countries any more than a cancerous tumor should be broken up into smaller fragments and distributed throughout the body.

Kill the cancer where you find it, and never do anything to help it spread. Smaller fragments may be weaker, but only so initially. Cancer will grow wherever it can take root.

We can only hope that Israel will destroy Hamas AND its supporters before it can spread further.

Hamas certainly is filling that gap of genocidal ghoulishness at scale left by the disappearance of the Khmer Rouge.

Because I guess we are forced to have these periodic reminders of what human nature at its absolute worst looks like.

Why don’t we just ship them all off to the Kerguelen Islands?

Don’t give them any boats or planes, though. We could parachute in canned food periodically to supplement the elephant seals and rock moss.

By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

Perhaps a touch out of context from the original, but entirely appropriate for how to sort the good and the bad in our world.

And now… exploding commuter buses. Luckily it appears the Hamas operatives had trouble setting the timers.

They were planning to kill busloads of Israeli citizens one day after that evil spectacle.

Hard to imagine humans worse than the Gazans.

If one objectively looks at the situation that has occurred since 10/7, and still lays blame on Israel, they are either stupid or insane.
No rational person can view that stage and come to the conclusion that it’s justified, I don’t care what you think Israel did to you.

And later reports that the babies were murdered, not killed by Israeli bombs as Hamas claimed. And the body of the woman is not Shiri Bibas. They cannot identify who it is. It is not one of the known hostages.

    Unbelievable. There are no words.

I’d like to think that Trump had this possibility in mind when he more or less forced Israel to make a deal. There is no deal that Hamas won’t violate, no peace that they will accept, other than the peace of total victory and the eradication of every Jew on the planet. I hope that Trump didn’t think he could actually get a real deal, but was just offering Hamas the rope that he would hang them with.

Whether he, or his negotiators, were thinking in those terms weeks ago, the sound and fury is starting to build worldwide now, and whether it was intended as a trap or not, Hamas seems to have made it one.

Hamas wants to make Gaza just like all those other wildly successful Muslim countries.

Killing innocent is not tolerable, it’s strongly provokes retaliation continuing the violence. (it’s only purpose is terrorism)
For Israelis to bomb Gaza indiscriminately killing innocent may seem justified under the circumstances… But I do not believe so. Tit for Tat, eye for an eye only pre-longs the violence and solves nothing… unless you commit genocide which is the “ultimate solution”. (The only true way to destroy an enemy, is to make them your friend)
So what do you do? There doesn’t appear to be a good answer to this question. Re-distributing the Palestinians to other countries seems to be the best option. One on one without their support group, they become as normal as any other human.
For 30 years I’ve worked with people from all over the world Including South America/Mexico, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Palestine, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Pakistan, India, and I’ve noticed their work performance not to be any different than anyone else’s. One on one, there is no “us” and “them”. Working together is performed in harmony and productivity where we all benefit and enjoy each other‘s company. (The only exception to this is the DEI hires who felt that everyone must conform to them and didn’t try to get along)

What is the solution? That’s not simple, but I would start with the “instigators” particularly the “regime change CIA” and other world leaders set on world domination by “divide and conquer” tactics. Follow the money and find out who’s paying for the arms and the missiles and the George Soros’s of the world funding and preaching division and hate for the purpose of profit and a sense of God hood.

You don’t have to look for for examples that are occurring elsewhere. (this does not include the 70 Christians locked in their church in Africa then given the choice to convert or die and then we’re beheaded yesterday)
    https://www.romereports.com/en/2025/02/01/4476-christians-killed-for-their-faith-in-2024/

My point is, Hamas (evil) wears many faces and goes by many names everywhere people are being killed. It is merely a “means to an end” by those paying them for a particular outcome, be it politics, money, or land grab for farms or mining by “right of conquest”. (it takes money to buy property, then guns to hold it… So why not use the guns to take the property without paying for it?)
War is still being treated as a legitimate way to take in conquest land from others, just look at Ukraine/Russia as an example. The proxy war for the bread basket of Europe will continue until every Ukrainian is dead. I’m hoping that a better alternative with Trump can be realized. Despite the efforts of black rock, State Street, and Vanguard with all of the retirement funds and 401(k)s they’ve invested into this project.

    The Palestinian problem is unsolvable.

The Palestinians have made it that way. They will not change their philosophy, their hatred of Jews and their supporters.

I was thinking that we could dilute them by bringing the youth to America and letting our culture corrupt them, or at least change their ideas.
But this can not be done. Just look at all the Palestinian supporters in our education system.

I would say moving them all to either the Afghanistan/Iran border or Iran itself would be a workable idea. But would either Nation take them? I no longer care what the Palestinians have to say about anything, they no longer get a choice.
If all of Gaza was moved out the west bank might just change their minds about attacking Israel. If Iran was forced to take in or deal with all the Palestinians they might change their minds about influencing them to attack Israel.

And the prisoner exchange should stop until living Israeli’s start to be turned over.

And Gaza should not be rebuilt until Israel owns and controls it for themselves. Why reward those who will not live peacefully with their neighbors?

Well I guess Hamas broke the peace.
Placing explosives on public busses in Israel. Luckily no one was hurt but that was because of the ineptitude of the bombers.

Technically sending the wrong body back also broke the peace but that one to me is a little forgivable. Understandable.
They just proved they did not care about the proper care for the bodies, even their own peoples. They sent back a Muslim accidentally and are demanding it back.

  • Max:

The “Palestinians”, which interestingly the Jews were also called until 1948, are a conquered people.

There are consequences to being conquered.

(Conquest refers to the act of military subjugation of an enemy by force of arms. It can also mean the act or process of conquering a country, area, or situation. In a broader sense, it encompasses anything acquired by conquering, such as territory or spoils.)

You either acquiesce or not, you have two choices in this case.

And previously before the world became “Civilized” those who were conquered did not exactly have any choice. The “Palestinians” have a choice. Choices have consequences.

    Choose wisely.

  • Max

    Contour, you are correct.
Palestine was considered a “territory”, not a race of people in which there are Jews, Christians, Half a dozen Muslim sects, in every skin color and eye color from across the world living in the cross roads between three continents.
Having been conquered and subjugated dozens of times in the last 4000 years. Nothing better illustrates this then the Dome of the Rock. A Jewish foundation upon sits Roman walls and architecture, capped off with a Muslim dome with a Christian cross on top.

    An example of spoils spoils of war;
The Mexican army attacked the Alamo… Which provoked a response from Sam Houston who pulled together an army and marched on Mexico conquering it. All of it!
A politician got involved and worked out the treaty of Guadalupe in which Mexico gets back it’s sovereign rights, minus the right to keep and bear arms, and lost all of its northern territory above the Rio Grande.
People living in this new territory retain the property rights, but all other properties reverted back to the federal government as the spoils of war, called the BLM today. Were the East Coast and the Louisiana purchase doesn’t have much federal land, 80% of Utah and 93% of Nevada is off-limits to the states that own them.

I would urge Trump caution on making Canada the 51st state, it’s part of the commonwealth which means although the people voted themselves “self rule” in the 50s, all of Canada is still owned by the crown. you cannot annex a part of Great Britain without a territory war… But the crown can confiscate America and add it to its commonwealth because it was once a British colony and disputes its independence. Two wars were fought with the British over this (presumed) rightful claim.
Wouldn’t that be a twist of fate to find ourselves under British rule again! Unintended consequences that no one saw coming.

  • It comes down to power.

If you have the power and can manufacture the justification to take it and keep it, it is yours.

    Whatever that “IT” might be.

That is really how things operate.
