Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Wiretap applications by Eric Holder’s Justice Department are now providing evidence that top officials, including Holder, knew about the Fast-and-Furious program and its smuggling of guns illegally into Mexico long before the murder of border agent Brian Terry by one of those guns.

It’s not the crime but the coverup: Newly revealed wiretap applications by Eric Holder’s Justice Department show that top officials, including Holder, almost certainly knew about the Fast-and-Furious program and its smuggling of guns illegally into Mexico long before the murder of border agent Brian Terry by one of those guns.

This evidence provides an explanation why Obama, Holder and other Justice officials have been stonewalling Congressional investigations. The documents they are withholding likely prove that they have been lying, from the beginning, about what they knew about Fast-and-Furious. Worse, their willingness to let guns pass over the border into Mexico illegally would make them accessories in the murders of Terry and numerous Mexicans.

Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. Your support allows me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Only now does it appear that Washington might finally recognize this reality.

In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.

Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. this is corrupt dating back to george w. ….his bunch initialized it. now the recent bunch has fumbled it and an Agent was found dead along with some ” spent” weapons of the Program. my condolences go to ALL families that lost loved ones on Either side of the border. there is More to all of this Operation than most can grasp.

Get your facts straight. This is not the fault of George Bush. Under the Bush administration a program was initiated in collaboration with the Mexican government where a small number of guns with GPS tracking devices were released. The location of all guns was constantly monitored. The program was quickly canceled. The Obama administration on the other hand, released thousands of guns with no tracking devices and no hope of ever keeping tabs on them. It proves that they are either incredibly incompetent or more likely, were attempting a back door assault on the second amendment.

You’re right, of course, Al – this is right out of the Obama playbook – try to make something they did look like Bush did it first. The operation under the Bush Admin was SPECIFICALLY designed to track & intercept the weapons & apprehend the gangs – and that was done. It was cancelled though, in large part because they realized it was too risky & probably not the best way to go about it. In the case of Fast & Furious, agents who reported they knew where the guns went were then ordered NOT to interdict them ! ! Big difference ! ! If the whole point was to catch the bad guys, then why stop agents from doing anything once they knew? That was a lie to cover up the true intent of the program. At least one, possibly two Americans died as a result of F&F, not to mention hundreds of innocent Mexicans. As you pointed out, the previous operation was coordinated with the MX gov’t – in F&F, they were NOT told. I wouldn’t blame the MX Gov’t & their people for being FURIOUS with us over this…
