A new study suggests a link between CFCs, the ozone hole, and climate change.
The uncertainty of science: A new study suggests a link between CFCs, the ozone hole, and climate change.
“Most conventional theories expect that global temperatures will continue to increase as CO2 levels continue to rise, as they have done since 1850. What’s striking is that since 2002, global temperatures have actually declined – matching a decline in CFCs in the atmosphere,” Professor Lu said. “My calculations of CFC greenhouse effect show that there was global warming by about 0.6 °C from 1950 to 2002, but the earth has actually cooled since 2002. The cooling trend is set to continue for the next 50-70 years as the amount of CFCs in the atmosphere continues to decline.”
The data is interesting, though hardly as conclusive Lu claims. It does illustrate again how incredibly complex climate science is, and how many factors influence it that we can’t yet completely quantify.

Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. Your support allows me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Only now does it appear that Washington might finally recognize this reality.
In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.
Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Instead, I rely entirely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, which gives me the freedom to write what I think, unencumbered by outside influences.
You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are four ways of doing so:
1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.
2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation.
3. A Paypal Donation or subscription:

Me thinks that desperation is finally setting in on the smartest wizards of science. They are starting to grab at straws to explain their confabulations. Now it’s all smoke screens and diversion as the curtain slowly opens on the wizards of gaia.
I’m waiting for the next excuse to be that plastic shopping bags are the true culprit for AGW.
This isn’t a new concept. I wrote about it over six years ago: http://news.sciencemag.org/sciencenow/2007/03/05-01.html At the time, the estimate was that the decline in atmospheric CFC content had offset five times more warming than if the Kyoto agreement had been fully ratified.
Its all about semantics, the tuning of semantics and the acquisition of control IMO. From Human caused temperature increase then to climate change, which is an oxymoron but the masses can understand it. Where will it go next with the revelation that increased CO2 is helping to green arid environments ?
Follow up to the E-Cat information: I will assume that you (Mr. Zimmerman) is aware of Dr. Brian Josephson, Nobel Laureates opinion on the subject, others may want to view the attached video for his view on the device and the possible politics and skeptical views.
Dr. Brian Josephson discusses Andrea Rossi‘s E-Cat technology with Dr. Judith Driscoll in a video released in 2011. Published on the University of Cambridge for Video and Audio Collections, the page is now amended to include the latest confirmation of heat-producing capability by the E-Cat HT. http://youtu.be/G8eIhth8Iw8
The recently released third-party report by scientists conducting an independent test of three different E-Cat HT devices has proved without a doubt the production of excess anomalous heat which even in the most conservative estimates is at least one order of magnitude greater than chemical energy sources.
Josephson received the Nobel Prize for his work predicting the quantum tunneling of electrons in Cooper pairs which has had multiple applications in digital electronics. Driscoll is a Cambridge Professor of Materials Science also associated with Los Alamos National Lab in the U.S.
Something else that I have been looking into as of late, Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN), very interesting. An inexpensive drug originally developed to deal with drug and alcohol addicts at 50MG being effectively used in a low dose (1.75 to 5MG) with apparent very good results in MS, Lyme disease, Chrones disease, Hashimotos disease, IBS, Autoimmune response etc. and even cancer. It apparently causes the body to naturally produce endorphins which rebalances the immune system, as I understand it at this point.
Its similar to the E-cat in this respect, the powers that be (doctors and big pharma who control most doctors) are resistant to it because it is very inexpensive and by what many people (not all) who use it say its effective to varying degrees depending on the person. The paradigm resists change for dark, self interest reasons. The two biggest powers on earth are the Oil and drug industry’s.
This goes against the business model to the point that the powers that be are more concerned with their profit model than the patents wellbeing. I say buyer beware. If anyone is interested in this therapy I suggest you do thorough research. (I am not a doctor) .
I thought you might look into it and post some info on it, here is one of many Youtube videos on the subject http://youtu.be/H2oCcFwnZqo.
Heck, we could just get rid of cfc’s and hcfc’c all together, who needs air conditioning and refrigeration any way’s!, I will say one thing for sure, all the taxes and fines do make gassing up a machine prohibitive, the equipment gets repaired to a higher standard as a result, yes cost is expensive, but consumers bear the brunt of these costs as they are passed on as a cost of doing business!
