Confessions of an ex-TSA agent.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

I despise the TSA for all the reasons laid out in the article and my own experiences with them over the years. Recently, a 20-something ignorant TSA security officer at Oakland International tell me I was a high risk passenger because I am a veteran, despite being Pre-Check cleared and holding a security clearance. For more than 3 years, I’ve been forcing the TSA to do a clothing pat down on me because I consider those idiotic machines a waste of time and unnecessary personal risk (more radiation) on my body.
The irony of my situation is that I know security from having done security in Afghanistan, where terrorists were operating openly and all around me and my brothers in uniform. When I experience TSA security, I consider it theater. Anyone wanting to do harm could do a lot of damage at the security checkpoints, instead of on the passenger airplanes.
Great article. Thank you Robert.
I’m not really seeing the outrage here. The article reads more Keystone Kops than Big Brother. Yes, I would dearly like to see TSA go away; it’s an affront to a free people. How about we get the Israeli’s on board, and allow CCW permit holders to carry.
