ISIS demands a Jewish genocide
The religion of peace: ISIS supporters are now demanding a new Jewish holocaust.
Facts remain facts. The world of Islam is poor, ignorant, bigoted, violent, and oppressive. Where there is wealth, such as in the Middle East, it is fueled entirely by oil that was found by Western capitalist companies and pumped to the surface using Western-developed technology. Without that help, the oil would still be underground and these Islamic countries would still be poor.
The oppressive nature of Islam, however, remains obvious and widespread. If we are intellectually honest we must ask: Why is that? What is it about Islam that results in this consistent cultural and social failure? An open-minded look at the language of the Koran and the history of this religion will give you a straight-forward answer, and that answer is not a pleasant one.
That the American intellectual community and many American politicians from both parties seem unwilling to take this hard look at Islam says a great deal about their lack of intellectual honesty. It also tells us something about their own attitude towards oppression. Maybe they don’t dislike tyranny that so much.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

All major religions in some way call for the removal or elimination of other religions at some point in some way in their written word.
The only difference is Islam has not yet gone through its own internal reformation to change to a religion of peace to all including those of other religions.
It will more than likely never go through it though. I has built in rules about questioning other Islamic sects and their interpretations of the book. They are not allowed to interfere with them. Which is brought up by the more aggressive groups every time others try to stop them.
Their change will not come from those outside the religion but from inside it.
The best we can do outside the religion is to westernize them as fast as possible. Each subsequent generations believe in religion will be watered down and reduced just like with all other religions. How many well off children in western Islamic households have been found fighting a violent jihad? Almost none. In fact I hear about more first generation converts from the west doing that than second or third generation Muslims. Mainly those children who are lost and rudderless in life. Those reaching out for meaning and purpose and finding it in the first place that also holds their own anti western ideals. Corporations are bad and the US government is evil and so on.
In general, buy your local Muslim youth and Iphone, introduce them to rock and roll or hip hop and save the world.
I love George Carlin’s take on religion.
“When it comes to bullshit, big-time, major league bullshit, you have to stand in awe of the all-time champion of false promises and exaggerated claims, religion. No contest. No contest. Religion. Religion easily has the greatest bullshit story ever told. Think about it. Religion has actually convinced people that there’s an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever ’til the end of time!
But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He’s all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can’t handle money! Religion takes in billions of dollars, they pay no taxes, and they always need a little more. Now, you talk about a good bullshit story. Holy Shit! “
If you or george had tossed in a reference to Doism, Buddhism, The Norse gods or even the Greek and Roman gods I would believe you actually knew what you were talking about.
Instead of just being an ass.
Outside of Islam, which of the major religions force conversion on pain of death? I eagerly await your thoughtful, nuanced reply.
