November 29, 2018 Zimmerman/Batchelor podcast
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Mr. Z, this may have been asked and answered already, so I apologize if I missed it, but what is up with John B’s voice? There was some time last month when he was just posting reruns of the podcasts and no new ones. Now that he’s back he sounds like he has cotton in his mouth? Surgery maybe?
He is still listenable and still the smartest show out there, but the change is noticeable.
Hopefully it is temporary and nothing serious….. Thanks to both of you for great shows.
Steve Earle: John Batchelor needed to have an operation that involved his voice took him out of commission for about two weeks, and he presently recovering, nicely and ahead of schedule I might add.
Thanks Mr. Z for explaining. He does seem to be recovering quickly, his voice gets slightly better each day.
Please tell him to take care of himself, can’t think of anyone else that has a show like his. He is irreplaceable on the Radio, just as you and your site are here on the interwebs. I point people to both as often as possible.
Thank you Mr Zimmerman for explaining John Batchelor’s voice change. We have been worried about him and are so relieved that he is on the mend. Please convey the relief of his listeners
Mr Z. you are one of my most favorite guests Mr. B’s show. Stay well yourself!
Tony Favero: Thank you for the kind words. They are much appreciated.
I’m afraid that he doesn’t seem to be improving to me. I hope I’m wrong, but sometimes his mind seems not like before either. Please tell us more.
ken: All treatments should be completed in a couple of days, and we should then see a significant improvement in John’s health.
John, hope you have a full recovery of all health problems. Love your show here in California.
