Pushback: Oral surgeon sues state for shutting down his practice for refusing COVID shots
Oral surgeon Stephen Skoly, blackballed by Rhode Island
Don’t comply: Stephen Skoly, an oral surgeon in Rhode Island, has sued both his governor, Democrat Daniel McKee, and the head of the state’s health department, James McDonald, for shutting down his dental practice — serving 800 patients monthly — and preventing him (and his ten employees) from earning a living, simply because he has decided for medical reasons not to get the COVID shots.
Skoly, who’s been a dental surgeon since 1990, requested medical exemption from the COVID-19 vaccine because of his history of Bell’s palsy paralysis, the complaint says, and he says he has “natural immunity” against the virus because of a “blood test” that confirmed he has COVID-19 antibodies.

In a sane world, the issue of Skoly’s COVID “vaccine” status would not even be up for discussion. His natural immunity and health concerns would immediately trump the need for shots. Moreover, the vanishing risk from the Wuhan virus due to its mutation into a milder form makes such draconian government actions today completely senseless.
None of this matters however to the petty dictators in Rhode Island’s government, controlled entirely by the Democratic Party. They are aggressively using their power as a hammer to pound Skoly’s life into dust.
Skoly however is not kow-towing to these thugs. He has sued, with the help of the New Civil Liberties Alliance (NCLA). You can read the complaint here [pdf]. As it notes, the state’s policy is completely irrational, in that it forbids Skoly from working — even though he has natural immunity — but permits infected health workers to continue to work. As the NCLA’s press release notes:
By excluding health care providers with natural immunity from practicing, the State created an artificial hospital staffing shortage. To cope with that problem of its own making, RIDOH has allowed health care providers with active Covid infections to treat patients instead.
Skoly is also not opposed to the COVID shots, only that his Bell’s palsy makes it risky for him to get them, and his natural immunity makes them unnecessary. He is also willing to wear an N95 mask while working, which is what the state requires for infected workers (even though research for decades says strongly that such masks accomplish nothing in preventing the spread of viruses).
Yet, the Rhode Island health department denied him an exemption from getting COVID shots, and ordered his practice closed, putting Skoly and his ten employees out of work.
Whether Skoly will win in court is unknown. In a hearing on February 7th the court apparently denied his request to temporarily suspend the state’s rule against him so he could resume treating patients. He and the NCLA are appealing, but relying on the courts for one’s freedom is a very iffy thing in today’s fascist America.
Nonetheless, kudos to Skoly and the NCLA. The more people who stand up and fight these insane government regulations, the more chance the regulations will be rescinded, and the goons who imposed them will be removed from power.

Forcing the doctor to shut down is just the Fascist Democrats exercising their power. They are demanding submission to what ever unreasonable, illogical or unfounded dictate they issues. However, behind the COVID vaccines I believe there is a more sinister plot. The Globalist Elites want to kill off 80% of the human race. They are trying to condition the population of the world to take whatever pseudo-vaccine they demand for some illness. I would not be surprised if they working on the next new “pandemic” virus that truly has a higher lethality than COVID-19 so they can pedal their garbage medicine which is really just a poison.

I like the quote from the NCLA for identifying the ‘root cause’ (remember that?). Like puppies, the Left needs their noses rubbed in it.
So much for all the ballyhoo from Dems about “access to healthcare.” We’ve long pointed out that more government intervention in the sector ultimately means politicians deciding what medical treatment you are allowed to have. Wuflu or not, this is an example of such. Doc doesn’t hold the views of the ruling class so he’s not allowed to work taking away the freedom of the patient to choose.
