Today’s blacklisted American: A congresswoman because she speaks her mind
They’re coming for you next: Since her election in November 2020 Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) has repeatedly irritated many people for her strong and very outright conservative opinions on everything from election fraud to religion to Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
As a result she has become the target by many on the left, resulting in her Twitter account being suspended more than once. In one case it was because she had said posted a tweet celebrating Easter and glorifying the resurrection of Jesus. In another case it as because she called for the supporters of Trump to rally against election fraud and the possibility that the 2020 presidential election was stolen. In both cases her account was reinstated by Twitter within twelve hours, with the social media platform claiming the first suspension was a mistake while the second was not (having violated Twitter’s partisan rules that forbid anyone from suggesting that there might have been election tampering that led to Biden’s victory).
These Twitter attacks are ugly and illustrate that platform’s anti-Republican and leftist agenda, but it is still a private company. More important have been the efforts to muzzle Greene in Congress, led by the Democrats.
First, the House voted by a mostly partisan vote of 230 to 199 to remove her from her committee assignments in the House Education and Budget committees. And while her House Republican leadership refused to go along, that leadership also joined in to condemn her public statements, making it clear that this Republican leadership will not tolerate any of its members speaking honestly in defense of either Trump or fair elections. They also want her to shut up.
Then, on March 19th a resolution supported by “dozens” of Democrats was introduced in the House to expel her from Congress. This statement by Democrat Congresswoman Nikema Williams (D-Georgia) encapsulates the slanderous and close-minded view of her opponents.
“Congresswoman Greene’s comments and actions are dangerous, unpatriotic, and a clear threat to every Member of Congress,” Williams said in January, after backing an effort to censure Greene. “It would be irresponsible for us to allow her to use the ‘People’s House’ as a platform to peddle discredited conspiracy theories that only fan the flames of hatred and violence.”
If you take the time to read all of Greene’s statements in Congress you will find that none of these accusations are founded in reality. Greene is blunt, harsh, outspoken, and very critical of Democrats and their socialist agenda. She also strongly believes that there was fraud in the 2020 election. So what? Free speech is supposed to afford her the right to say these things. Furthermore, an open society requires her to have that right.
Free speech and honest debate however is now fiercely opposed by the left and the Democratic Party politicians leading this movement. You speak your mind and criticize these people and they will be out to destroy you, as they are now trying to do to Greene.
Note that this post has nothing to do with endorsing Greene’s politics. She could be advocating communism and racial preferences for minorities and I would still defend her from expulsion and censorship. I would call for voters to throw such a leftist out of office, but to justify actions similar to those imposed on Greene would for me require some major real illegalities or outright treasonous behavior, none of which apply here.

Politics today and in years past is greatly based in psychological manipulations and lots and lots of gas lighting, information and disinformation. And it has gotten much worse and the general public has a very difficult time sorting through it all in a rational manner.
This is how the game is played, from “Q” ANON, to crisis actors, to aliens, to what ever, IMO it is a churn and much of it is done by agencies and individuals in todays technology double edged sword of a political environment.
And it is by design, its a form of warfare, and this is political warfare, make no mistake about that.
Marjorie Taylor Greene has been lumped into that classification based on some of her previous posts on social media and they were based in this churn, this psychological political strategic churn. Keep them all
I have however listened to her being interviewed and she is sharp as a razor and an intelligent woman. She runs or did run a construction business that worked in 11 states, a family business. She is a stone cold American patriot and is the future of the Republican party and hopefully the Country. Rich Miller calls her “Crazy”. She is my kind of crazy.
When the FLAK is heaviest that is how you know you are over the target. Marjorie Taylor Greene is over the target.

While concerning, there is more than a whiff of “desperate rearguard action” in all of this.
The 19th century was the century of centralization and the start of bureaucratic technocracy. The 20th century was the century of death-by-socialism and the government-industrial complex. All of that is the tail of the dog: philosophy-of-day. The philosophy of the day is now “decentralized”, “distributed”, “smaller”, “faster”. This just hasn’t made it politics, yet.
BigTech is caught in the middle. They are implemented as small, fast, distributed things (there is no single “google”), but they still act as centralized monoliths. This will not last, especially if they keep angering vast segments of their market. It’s not as if Facebook is difficult to copy, since it is a copy of AOL, MySpace, and LiveJournal. It just takes time (and money – more conservatives need to win the lottery).
America’s existing governmental system is perfectly suited for the 21st century – if we can shake off the junk accreted during the 19th and 20th. I’m starting to think that counties are where the action needs to be. For example, it would be very difficult for the state of Colorado to complain about a county going its own way in some respects when the state is flouting federal immigration and drug laws.

After four-plus years of Russian-collusion Nothingburger franchises and support for rioting? That’s weapons-grade hubris from Ms. Williams, who with most of her allies now apparently see the national debate not as Left vs. Right … but as the Normal vs. the Evil Other that Must Be Suppressed. This is how you can get events like the Holocaust and the Cultural Revolution, complete with high body counts.
As for Greene’s take on the election …. the burden of proof that the election was honest, is borne by the officials who managed the process. And while it may apply to the individuals involved with respect to potential criminal activity, the government as an entity does NOT enjoy the presumption of innocence.
They have yet to meet that burden of proof in several key locales … “We say it was fair” does not count, no more than the assertions of the Climate Change Cult count as conclusive fact.
In fact, the mere fact that the elections were compromised with hastily-made rule changes, made by entities not Constitutionally authorized to make those changes, is all that is needed to call them into question and demand the fulfillment of the burden of proof. It is neither our burden, nor President Trump’s, to bring even one fraudulent vote into evidence … the compromises are sufficient to demand that those in charge conclusively prove the elections were honest and accurate.
But those same compromises also render these officials unable to provide that conclusive proof … and because of that, the election should have been thrown into the House. That wasn’t allowed to happen, because our “leaders” wanted to protect “the integrity of the institution” – whatever institution they were part of – more than assuring respect for the rights of our citizens …
… and oh yeah, Orange Man Bad .
And all the gaslighting from Big Media, Big Tech, and Big Government doesn’t change that.

Up is down, war is peace, and being a patriot, putting “America first” is unpatriotic and a threat to every member of Congress and dare I say to democracy itself! as Biden rules by fiat, like a dictator even commanding the rewriting how the supreme court functions. Madness!

You really gotta add “and occasionally nutty” in there. While it doesn’t change the point of your piece, it is a bit more reflective of her nature. And, it also doesn’t mean she isn’t ‘conservative’ and such – just that she’s also sometimes nutty.

LOL! Where? In some tech, maybe. In some logistics, yes. But even there the “distributed and decentralized” hubs are all controlled centrally. Control is always consolidated to a single point. It’s human nature.
This just hasn’t made it politics, yet.
And it won’t. Politics (in its essence – anything else, while perhaps good, is an aberration*) is all about control. You don’t retain control by decentralizing, nor by distributing. You might distribute your logistics or your personnel, but you centralize control.
(* And, yes, America has been quite the aberration in politics for the last ~245 years.)

Cities and townships, actually. But that can only play out within those counties. And it can only play out when the people are moral and educated enough to counter that human nature of centralization, along with the natural human tendency to push responsibility onto someone with more authority.
