March 27, 2025 Zimmerman/Batchelor podcast
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

I enjoyed this 40 minute video where Bret Baier interviews Elon Musk and his top people at DOGE. Most are CEOs or entrepreneurs of successful tech startups who I believe are doing this without pay simply for love of country and freedom.
They talk about the waste and fraud they’ve found and how they are cutting and reorganizing. For example the government employees’ retirement system is all handled with files of paperwork the same way it was done in the 1950s. So across government they are creating whole new computer systems that will interface with one another and verification of money flow required.
One big development is USAID being dissolved. This was how the CIA financed their nefarious black operations around the world. Expect them to not go down without a nasty fight.

More info has come out regarding the damaged Cygnus…
The Cygnus Pressurized Cargo Module (PCM) was built in Italy by Thales Alenia. It was damaged in transit to America when the the shipping container it was stored in was run into by a piece of heavy machinery. The shipping contractor was Volga-Dnepr of Moscow, Russia.
This appears to be yet another case of the former Orbital Sciences Corporation relying on the Russians and yet another case of that reliance biting them on the donkey.
