This is excellent comrade, utopia is is on the horizon, our vision is finally in the process of being implemented, now they will all see when we do the “right” thing how wonderful and “fare” the world will be. B.O.
This mess is the ultimate test of the Constitution, hope the people are up to it.
This will just make the difference between the haves and have nots more evident.
It will be almost, if not totally, impossible to make the jump from a small to midsized business to a large company.
You will no longer be able to naturally grow. Because of the HUGE jump in expenses you have from one size to the next the business owner will have to make a huge loan just to cover insurance for the first year or three of expansion.
But surely any business owner will have “made enough money” by the time they reach that wall.
These are all higher hurdles to just starting a business. If you have ever started a business from scratch you will understand about the catch 22 nature of creating such a thing as a business. Sometimes its only a function of sheer will and ignorance of reality.
Well there you go.
You just had to bring up that enough money thing.
I don’t know about you but even Nancy Pelosi doesn’t think 58 million is enough. Not counting her banker husbands cash.
And just because a business is of any size doesn’t mean the owner has even taken a paycheck out of it yet. Many are working to build something to sell to pay for retirement.
And there is an old saying in the business world. “Either your expanding or shrinking.”
Trying to stay the same size means that your direct competitors are growing faster then you, you in effect your shrinking. Shrinking until at a certain point your business has no value.
They think this will allow for more small businesses and less big ones, it is a feature not a bug, but the number of entrepreneurs is small. Most people are content to work for a company, they don’t want to deal with the hassle of starting one and often have no idea about how their own company works outside of their own duties. So it wont lead to an explosion of mom and pop shops and will be a greater burden on the small percentage of people who want to take the risk of starting their own business.
The Statists think that the current situation will hold no matter what they do. For example, if people are doing x, y, and z to make a living, they’ll continue to do so no matter how external influences may change. But the natural world, including human society, is dynamic. This is why Statists are always surprised when their ideas don’t yield the intended results. Their model of the world in no way reflects reality.
One of the hallmarks of American society has always been social and economic mobility. It’s why people the world over come here. As politicians (of both parties) have attempted to buy votes by ‘helping’ the poor, they have in fact made it more difficult for the poor to gain economically. We long ago reached the point where the economic calculus favored staying on the dole rather than living frugally for a few years, gaining skills and experience, and then making decent money. Making the transition from government-supported economic lower class with no chance to move up, to self-supported economic lower class with opportunity limited only by native ability is now virtually impossible for a large number of Americans. And those people aren’t going to vote themselves a pay cut.
It will not allow more small businesses, it will force more small businesses to stay small instead of becoming big businesses.
Small businesses have a problem you can see in many other nations.
The more small businesses that are doing the very same thing in the very same area will all keep each other small. its like forcing to many small fish into a small fish tank.
If you reduce the chance of some small fish eating or out surviving the other small fish you reduce the chance that any of them could become large businesses.
You are stopping the small business from becoming the next Microsoft or Apple.
Your only protecting the big money men and big businesses.
But models you have put a lot of time, money and effort into look so good.
Do we really want America to look like a Chinese street vendor capital.
10,000,000 mom and pop shops out there with another 10,000,000 pushcarts running around.
With every town looking like something out of Blade Runner except in those few chosen areas were the privileged live.
