UAE sheikh okays next phase in Mars mission
The competition heats up: The Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has approved the start of construction of the prototypes for the UAE’s Mars Mission, dubbed Hope.
Sheikh Mohammed gave the greenlight to start manufacturing the probe’s prototypes, the Arab world’s first Mars probe. The project places the UAE with the nine countries that aim to explore Mars. His Highness said: “UAE ambitions is to explore the outer space. We are investing in our national cadres to lead this project and contribute in expanding our knowledge about Mars. Hope Probe is a qualitative leap for UAE’s scientific efforts, it the first contribution for the Arab world in this regard”.
Sheikh Mohammed’s remarks came while visiting the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) to open the second phase of the UAE satellite manufacturing and assembly complex, a multitasking facility capable of handling several space projects at a time.
It will be very interesting to see how this top-down mission proceeds, as it is being pushed heavily by the sheikh in a country with almost no experience in building such things.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

First I’ve noticed their space program. How far along are they?
Do a search on BtB for UAE. I’ve been posting on their effort here for the past year.
“His Highness” is the worst sort of America Hating, anti-Semite, Nazi-lover. The bigger the smile, the sharper the knife.
I can’t speak directly to the alleged in-breeding that goes on with the “royal family,” but I would put forth, they need multiple W-88 hydrogen-warheads detonated over their worthless little “kingdom,” so we can make their oil glow and they can all DIE.

This is the same sheikh who built Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building.
He had troubles with the financing, and dealt with them by publicly declaring that he was restructuring the loans (without bothering to tell the lenders beforehand). To quell the ensuing chaos, the sheikh of Abu Dhabi bailed him out, and in exchange they named the building after him.
That doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence that this sheikh is capable of planning and executing big projects, although in the end the tower was built.
The term His “highness” says it all for me, more Bull sht from elite Bs’ers. What level of technology and skill they do not have they will buy (like China, mostly with American money and technology) all to only appear as being significant.
Kind of reminds me of Obama in a way.

Wayne,
Better that they are revealed and seen for what they truly are, liers and deceitful posers, just like the formerly American Democrat party. When you lower yourself and endorse someones “killing” you have stooped to their level.
Their money can not buy them what they truly seek, as we have all just witnessed here in America.
Cotour–
I’m perfectly willing “to-sink-to-their-level,” as long as they vanish from the face of the Earth & the pages of History.
These “people” are at War with us, they chose death.
>Turn their entire ant-hill of a country into Trinitite.
They are hardly going to vanish, we have empowered them with lots of money so they are unlikely to vanish. As long as the lefts intent to funnel them into our country and call it all good has been revealed, that goes a long way to stopping out and limiting their agenda.
Real, strong and consistent American interested leadership is what is required on our part. Lets be optimistic that that is what is under way.
We have managed to dig a deep hole here.
The hot desert sands of arabia have been harsh on pepe.

The middle east is just looking for a delivery system for a nuclear bomb.
Let them build it. Let them prove what they want it for. If its peaceful space access then good for them.
They can have their kiddie toy nuclear weapons and we get a fully operational THOR system.
Does anyone in the world think they can build operational weapons faster than the US can?
I don’t think we have every really played cowboys and the rest of the worlds dictators yet.

Good stuff.
