Innocent Red Hen businesses threatened nationwide
Ignorant fascists on the right: Numerous businesses nationwide with the name Red Hen are being attacked, including receiving death threats, merely because they happen to have the same business name as the restaurant in Virginia that refused to serve Trump press secretary Sarah Sanders.
Restaurants that share the name — but not any business ties — with the Lexington, Va., eatery that refused service to White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders last weekend have received death threats, been deluged with harassment and had their businesses ripped on Yelp.
The harassment even extended to a book imprint: Red Hen Press in Pasadena, Calif., had to explain on Twitter that “‘Red Hen’ is not a restaurant franchise, it is a name incidentally shared by many independent and unaffiliated companies” and that Red Hen Press is “a book publishing company, not a well-named panini shop.”
The Red Hen restaurant in D.C. was egged and has had to post a sign in their window stating “#NOT THAT RED HEN.” The staff have been inundated with emails and calls to their personal phones threatening, among other messages, to burn the restaurants down and simply “Dead Hen.” Death threats began coming in on Saturday evening, when Sanders reported that she had been kicked out of the unaffiliated Lexington restaurant, and a police officer was posted outside the D.C. eatery; after the cop left for the night, the restaurant was egged.
Even a Washington restaurant affiliated with the Red Hen D.C. — All-Purpose — is being harassed.
Just because leftists have recently decided it is okay to use violence to attack their opponents does not give the right permission to do the same. Peacefully boycotting the correct restaurant is reasonable. Making death threats, and doing so against innocent people, is vile and unforgiveable. Two wrongs do not make a right.

Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. Your support allows me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Only now does it appear that Washington might finally recognize this reality.
In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.

I saw last night there was a restaurant in Canada being harassed. There was also a story of a woman unlucky enough to have the same name as that restaurant owner being harassed. I am so sick of this idiocy.
Of course, another option to consider is that leftists are doing some of this to smear people on the right. Something which I’m sure could go both ways.
This is never acceptable.
Tit for tat only works if it is done to intentionally change behavior. It is also possible for people to express their displeasure without death threats and over the top insults. And how hard is it to make sure you are talking to the right people?
I wouldn’t be surprised if there weren’t some shenanigans taking place too. As in, not all of these people are Trump supporters and there could be people spreading false contacts.
This is exactly why vigilante justice is always inappropriate and why, while fighting the bad guys, we shouldn’t become the bad guys by mimicking their bad behavior:

Too much hate leads to even more too much hate.
We mustn’t do the leftist, emotional, feel-good-right-now, wrong thing. We should do the rightist, well-thought-out, correct thing. The right thing: be calmly but vocally appalled by the left’s bad behavior and its advocacy for even more bad behavior.
The right’s earlier calm reaction caused Pelosi and others to tell Waters and others to shut up and behave. The calm reaction led to less too much hate and a de-escalation of the situation.
The HotAir article that you link does not give the source of its claims. If I had to guess, it is the WaPo or some other left wing fake news site. Hardly unbiased sources.
I refuse to believe anything reported by the left-wing media unless I see independent verification by a less biased source and I think you should be more skeptical.
Recall the claims by two Democrat congressmen that Tea Party members shouted racial epithets at them during a DC rally. This was widely reported as fact by the left media but Andrew Breitbart offered $100,000 to anyone who could produce a video or audio recording of it. He never got a taker even though the event was recorded on multiple cellphone videos.
Yes, lets not forget the noose incidents that were perpetrated by the “victims”
