Anarchists threaten to dox any new student for joining conservative groups at Texas university
They’re coming for you next: An anarchist organization with many ties within the University of Texas at Austin has now publicly threatened to reveal the personal contact information of any new student who dares join several different conservative organizations.
“Do you wanna be famous? If you join YCT or Turning Point USA, you just might be. Your name and more could end up on an article like one of these,” the tweet said, linking to previous doxxing posts of conservative students at the school. “So be sure to make smart choices at #UTOrientation.”
Last year the network released extensive personal information of pro-Brett Kavanaugh demonstrators at UT Austin, including their names, photos and contact information. It went so far as to post some of the phone numbers of the employers of students and encouraged its adherents to call them to get them fired.
Composed mostly of students at UT Austin, the group also actively encourages the harassment of conservative students, having praised the destruction of signs and tactics of physical intimidation during the pro-Kavanaugh demonstrations.
The article notes that though the university claims it is acting to punish such doxing behavior by its students, it does not appear that anything has really been done. This group did it last year, and seems unafraid to do it again now.

Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. Your support allows me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Only now does it appear that Washington might finally recognize this reality.
In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.
Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. The Death Wish of the Anarcho-Communists

“Murray Rothbard explains why anarcho-communism is an all-out assault on individuality and on reason, and is an economic absurdity.”

“Check, please!”
As in, I’m going somewhere else. But that’s not how a free people respond.
What’s the deal, here? Do not tools work both ways? Why is ‘doxxing’ the seeming exclusive weapon of the Left?
I’m kind of done with this. I’ll have to look in to it.
Anyone from Texas?
I’d be interested in how the Texas university system is governed.
>>Who is supposed to be responsible, and who is actually responsible/accountable?
In Michigan 3 of our large state universities are (ostensibly) governed by an elected Board of Regents.
Blair Ivey asked: “What’s the deal, here? Do not tools work both ways? Why is ‘doxxing’ the seeming exclusive weapon of the Left?”
Doxxing is a form of shut-uppery:
http://behindtheblack.com/behind-the-black/essays-and-commentaries/what-ever-you-do-dont-shut-up
A major difference between the left and the right is that the left wants the right to shut up, but the right wants the left to keep speaking.
The left believes in freedom of speech, but only for themselves; the right believes in freedom of speech for all. The left does not want alternate ideas to be presented, because they have a hard time defending their own ideas when better right-wing ideas are presented. The right welcomes alternate ideas, because there may be a better idea out there that we will one day discover, and who wants to suppress better ideas?
Oh, that’s right. That would be the left.
The left has long used fear as a way to get people to shut up. Using bad names, such as fascist or racist, has long been their main weapon, because nobody wants to be some kind of “-ist.” However, that weapon has been shown to be dull due to its falsehood. Then they tried to scare opponents into silence by calling them haters, but that fell short, too. Disagreement is not hatefulness.
AntiFA (Anti First Amendment) has recently been formed specifically to harm those with whom the left disagrees in order to get them to shut up. This really is scary. Not only does it cause immediate physical harm, but it is the same tactic that was used in order to bring fascists to power in the 20th century. AntiFA uses fascist tactics for similar ends in the 21st century.
Now the left tries to make it seem that the world will hate a conservative and people like AntiFa will come get him, so the fear is that once the world the world knows who you are, where you live, and how to reach you, the world (perhaps through AntiFA) will do you physical and psychological harm. This reinforces the fact that it is the left that is hateful.
Since it is the left (those who believe in greater control of the populous, especially through larger government or other central controllers) that exclusively use fear, it is also the left that exclusively uses weapons of fear, hatred, and shut-uppery. Centralized control is one reason for the use of the political-correctness (PC) tool. The latest PC rules are passed down to leftist followers without debate, and those who do not keep up with the new rules are re-educated or shunned until they comply.
Tools may work both ways, but the right would not use these same tools. Their use, though effective, has been proved to be a bad idea, because it stifles rather than engages.
It is inconsistent for the right (those who believe in greater individual control over our own destinies, thus less government) to use these same weapons, because they limit individual control in favor of an outside or centralized controller. Shunning or banning people for having alternate — even bad — ideas is not acceptable to the right. Instead, engaging in discussion about the alternate idea is encouraged, and if it seems bad then debating it is almost mandatory; following a bad idea can result in horrible things, such as hatefulness, shut-uppery, and violence.
The Left believes that Black Lives Matter.
The Right believes that ALL Lives Matter.
