March 3, 2021 Zimmerman/Batchelor podcast
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

I just heard this morning that the Batchelor show has ended. No further explanation. Do you have any info.? Hope he is well and no recurrence of health issues.
Bob,
Just found out that the show is ending on WABC, but will be continuing with a new network. Don’t know what that is, yet, but continuation is a good news. Look forward to hearing from you on the new incarnation of Batchelor.
Gary: Stay tuned. It has not ended, it is moving. All will be well.
Great to hear! I feared the worse. Clark Howard retired and Rush passed away, I did not want to lose another show I listen to. The John Batchelor Show is part of my commute home and I do learn a lot from it. No other talk radio show or news program covers international news, scientific breakthroughs , historical reviews, and of course space like his show does.
Bob,
Thanks for the response. I got a note back from Michael Vlahos and he said it would be moving the CBS Network next week. This is great news. That show is how I learned of you and this site. Looking forward to the new iteration.
Bob, Good to know the show is moving. JB is the only conservative radio show I can listen to, because he is rational without the screaming.
I only wish I thought to check here instead of looking for info elsewhere online. There is none.
John has moved to CBS, so check their affiliate in your area for live broadcasts. “The John Batchelor Show” web site is still up and you can listen to podcasts of hos entire show….The $64,000 question is whether our beloved Bob the Zee will continue as a guest. Tonight, he had CBS’s space correspondent on. NO WAY, JOSE !!, We want the genuine brand !!!
Col Beausabre: Fear not. Yesterday I taped four (!) segments for John to be aired tomorrow. We go back to our normal schedule Thursday.
Col / Mr. Z.,
thanks for the information, been trying to keep aware. (JB is a national treasure!)
Interestingly, when this popped up (The Batchelor announcement is about 1/2 way down the text) the 2nd paragraph concerns, “Townsquare Media Repurchases Oaktree Capital Management’s Stake in Company,” –isn’t Townsquare the entity that mistreated Robert Pratt?

Gary–
I would be remiss if I didn’t say, very cool! (the Vlahos thing,’ from your March 8 comment.)
