Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Amherst students demand punishment for those expressing opinions they disagree with

Fascists: A student protest group at Amherst College in Massachusetts are demanding the university punish those who put up “All Lives Matter” and “Free Speech” posters.

A group calling themselves the Amherst Uprising listed 11 demands they want enacted by next Wednesday. Among them is a demand that President Biddy Martin issue a statement saying that Amherst does “not tolerate the actions of student(s) who posted the ‘All Lives Matter’ posters, and the ‘Free Speech’ posters.” The latter posters called the principle of free speech the “true victim” of the protests at the University of Missouri.

Going further, the students demand the people behind “free speech” fliers be required to go through a disciplinary process as well as “extensive training for racial and cultural competency.”

This group also issued ten other demands, including being excused from classes so they can protest. The other demands are just as absurd and odious.

If the college president agrees to any of these demands the question I ask is this: Why is anyone spending a dime to send their kids to this trash heap? If I had my kids there they would be pulled immediately.

Readers!

Every February I run a fund-raising drive during my birthday month. This year I celebrate my 72nd birthday, and hope and plan to continue writing and posting on Behind the Black for as long as I am able.

I hope my readers will support this effort. As I did in my November fund-raising drive, I am offering autographed copies of my books for large donations. Donate $250 and you can have a choice of the hardback of either Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8 or Conscious Choice: The origins of slavery in America and why it matters today and for our future in outer space. Donate $200 and you can get an autographed paperback copy of either. IMPORTANT! If you donate enough to get a book, please email me separately to tell me which book you want and the address to mail it to.

Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. My analysis of space, politics, and culture, taken from the perspective of an historian, is almost always on the money and ahead of the game. For example, in 2020 I correctly predicted that the COVID panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Every one of those 2020 conclusions has turned out right.

Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Instead, I rely entirely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, which gives me the freedom to write what I think, unencumbered by outside influences.

You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are four ways of doing so:

1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.

2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation.

3. A Paypal Donation or subscription:

4. Donate by check, payable to Robert Zimmerman and mailed to

Invite the enemy into your country out of “compassion” and humanity and protect it from assimilation
and what will the result be? Islam and the Western civilizations do not mix as a general rule, this will be a long and hard lesson that will be learned.

How will the American president characterize this, I wonder?

This just demonstrates the intolerance of those who think that they are the tolerant ones.

“Free speech for me, but not for thee! (Because your ideas are always bad and mine are perfection).”

    What a cluster.

Follow up and connecting the potential for the two events to merg:

I believe this prediction in time in America is a reasonable one given the atmosphere that has been methodically crafted over the past 8 years.

I again put blame where blame it IMO deserved, right in the Oval Office. Remember this quote “ISIS is the JV team!”

And this is how Salon reports how the conservatives are reacting to the events unfolding in Paris.

    http://www.salon.com/2015/11/13/as_paris_carnage_unfolds_conservatives_lash_out_at_obama_immigrants_and_college_students/

This how the left responds, they focus on how the French people are “caring for each other”, AFTER THE FACT!

“Reports from France indicate that Parisians are doing everything they can to protect and care for each other as this crisis unfolds. ”

These people really are a fundamental existential threat to themselves and everyone else, they think incorrectly. Lots and lots of compassion and understanding but no common sense.

The leftist “students” along with the same faculty and Admin essentially control now the universities. They are emboldened and will now move on to their next targets.

The targets are faculty and staff deemed insufficiently correct, and …. the bulk of the student body.

Remember – they “claim” the institutional environment is racist – and in order to be racist – you need racists (lots of them), and other students (predominately white) will fit that bill.

Expect the campuses to become extremely hostile environments, including physically dangerous. If you have children at these schools, best now to plan for transfer or a long sabbatical. Expect demands for forced new class requirements, grade penalization, and degree/certification withholding. Do not put it past them (faculty etc.) to compile and disseminate dossiers on fellow students, in order to harm their career prospects – especially in fields the left has big influence like Education etc.

Now that Obama has declared that all whites are genetically racists, this is an easy group to condemn.

In the olden days, you had to be taught, carefully, to be a racist, but these days it has been declared to be inherent; nature, not nurture.

Hmm. Come to think of it, Obama and the schools are carefully teaching certain people to be afraid of and to hate those with a different skin shade and eyes that are differently made. No wonder there are so many people who feel unsafe at school. They were carefully taught. Now the racism is going the other way.

Only certain lives matter, not all lives, and these carefully taught students are making sure to be intolerant of those who believe otherwise.

They are also being intolerant of those who are different from themselves. Even to the point of segregating those hated whites and banishing them.
    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2015/11/11/mizzou-demonstrators-segregate-white-allies-to-form-black-only-healing-space/

This explains why there are so many whites passing as American Indian (e.g. Elizabeth Warren) and as black (e.g. Rachel Dolezal). The institutional racism is going the other way, these days, favoring those who have been carefully taught to be fear-mongering, hateful racists. When will the students see what is right before their eyes?

Welcome to Obama’s fundamentally changed America, home of the new apartheid.

An eight month baby placed in a circle surrounded by babies of different races will tend to move towards the babies of its own race. Are these babies “racist”? Of course not, but they do naturally tend to gravitate to their “own” kind. And no one should have to apologize for wanting or preferring to do the same.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/science-news/10770563/Babies-show-racial-bias-study-finds.html

There are however people who want to sell the idea that because one person of a certain race might not love to associate with a person of another race that they are “racist”. What is missing from the equation? Being objectively taught mutual respect for individual human beings, regardless of race. Its when the subjective perspective is on auto pilot or is stressed by upbringing or through manipulation in order to accentuate or manufacture division between the “different” that causes problems.

Do not demand that I “love” you or MUST associate with you and call the rejection of that racism. Is there racism? Yes. Is racism as rampant as what is being portrayed ? I seriously doubt it.

You mean that babies tend to move towards those who most resemble their mothers? I’d have never guessed that. Not in a million years! But maybe in three seconds.

Apparently, neither the researchers nor the “News agencies” that wrote the article figured out that one, either.
