The July fund-raising campaign is now over. Though the donations and subscriptions were poor for most of the month, the response in the past week has been encouraging, to say the least. Thank you all for coming through in the end. It was beyond gratifying to find out that there are supporters to my work out there.
I will keep this thank you notice up for the next week, just so that everyone who donated or subscribed can see it. And if you haven’t donated this year as yet, please consider supporting me in some small manner. My website has no advertising and no sponsors (other than my readers), and it is free for all to read and comment without charge or registration. Your support is the only thing that keeps me going.
You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are five ways of doing so:

I’ve never subscribed to a newspaper, have basic internet service, and have rabbit ears on my TV instead of cable. But there are several conservative bloggers and content creators I support financially. We are in a significant moment in history where the lunatics are close to taking over the asylum. It’s an exciting time to be alive.

My guess is twofold. First there are the people who don’t like these campaigns begging for money, a perfectly reasonable position, one in which I am in complete sympathy. It is unseemly to beg like this. I really wish I didn’t have to, but when I didn’t no one donated or subscribed, and I can’t afford that.
Second there are the petty people who simply dislike what I have to say. This is now very typical among those on the left. Rather than debate, they insult, censor, and work to damage anyone who says things they don’t like.
I try to assume almost everyone down-voting is of the former group, and that there are very few people in the latter group.

One of the BEST Community College instructors was the epitome of real science. In the 1970s, I attended Intro and Intermediate Nutrition courses.
She had three basic categories to describe, classify information.
A) This (XYZ) we know.
B) This (ABC) we THINK we know.
C) This (ZZZ) – We have no idea what this is.
