Federal government has no system for verifying Obamacare subsidies
Finding out what’s in it: An audit by the inspector general of Health and Human Services (HHS) has found that the agency has no internal system to verify that $2.8 billion in Obamacare subsidies were paid correctly, or even to the right people.
The [inspector general] said the agency did not have a system to “ensure that financial assistance payments were made on behalf of confirmed enrollees and in the correct amounts.” In addition, [HHS] relied too heavily on data from health insurance companies and had no system for state-based exchanges to “submit enrollee eligibility data for financial assistance payments.”
The government does “not plan to perform a timely reconciliation” of the $2.8 billion in subsidies. [emphasis mine]
Not only have they given out billions without proper record-keeping or proper verification, the agency has no intention of fixing the problem. “Ain’t my job, man!”
Readers!
Every February I run a fund-raising drive during my birthday month. This year I celebrate my 72nd birthday, and hope and plan to continue writing and posting on Behind the Black for as long as I am able.
I hope my readers will support this effort. As I did in my November fund-raising drive, I am offering autographed copies of my books for large donations. Donate $250 and you can have a choice of the hardback of either Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8 or Conscious Choice: The origins of slavery in America and why it matters today and for our future in outer space. Donate $200 and you can get an autographed paperback copy of either. IMPORTANT! If you donate enough to get a book, please email me separately to tell me which book you want and the address to mail it to.
Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. My analysis of space, politics, and culture, taken from the perspective of an historian, is almost always on the money and ahead of the game. For example, in 2020 I correctly predicted that the COVID panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Every one of those 2020 conclusions has turned out right.
Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Instead, I rely entirely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, which gives me the freedom to write what I think, unencumbered by outside influences.
You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are four ways of doing so:
1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.
2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation.
3. A Paypal Donation or subscription:
4. Donate by check, payable to Robert Zimmerman and mailed to

I wonder if this level of incompetence was masterly orchestrated to give payments to organizations and individuals on a grand scale? Are we looking at the modern day $600 hammer to pay for”Black projects” that would otherwise not be excepted by the public? Why rely on rich benefactors like George Soros to manage and fund so many different movements when the government can do it indirectly to shape events of the future by having your minions receive money by simply filling out the proper forms?
A relative married a Mexican national who had five different IDs and collected benefits on all five of them. In exchange, his caseworker gave him a list of people to vote for with the identities. The marriage allowed him to become a citizen, the identities were recycled to someone else.
My niece Said when she worked for workforce services that they would hand out IDs to new immigrants all the time. The more people you helped, the bigger your bonus. The workers know not to say anything after The more people you helped, the bigger your bonus. The workers know not to say anything. The last whistleblowers who gave evidence to the media all went to jail.

Elections have consequences, let the people learn the hard and costly lesson. This is what america needed in order to snap them out of their complacency and apathy.
So the message from the federal government is for Americans simply to lie about their income level and get the maximum subsidy. This makes sense. Liberals measure the success of government programs by how much is spent on them, not by whether the right people receive help or are actually helped by such a program.
But Congress will fix the problem! House Speaker John Boehner will adjust the budget to allocate $4 billion to the government to figure out what happened to that $2.8 billion. He will embed it in other legislation that will have to be passed before people can find out what’s in it.
There is work to be done, we don’t want to disappoint our corporate masters.
