For the past four years the glaciers in Glacier National Park have stopped shrinking.
The uncertainty of science: For the past four years the glaciers in Glacier National Park have stopped shrinking.
“We had this sort of pause,” Fagre said of shrinking at Sperry Glacier and, by extrapolation, other glaciers. “They pretty much got as much snow as they needed.” Sperry covered 0.86 square kilometers in 2005, 0.83 in 2009 and 0.82 in 2013, illustrating the “pause” in its retreat as there was a 0.03 square kilometer loss from 2005 to 2009, but only 0.01 in the last four years, from 2009 to 2013, Fagre said.
The article spends a lot of time talking about how the shrinkage is about to resume and the glaciers are certain to disappear, but this pause in glacier shrinkage corresponds nicely with the 17 plus year pause in warming that has been going on.
And then there’s this: Great moments in climate forecasting.
And this, also from Steve Goddard: In 1971 the world’s top climate scientists said fossil fuels would cause an ice age by 2020.
I especially like the quote from the last article, where these experts say that there is “no need to worry about the carbon dioxide fuel-burning puts in the atmosphere.” These are the same experts who have have spent the past three decades since 1988 telling us that CO2-caused global warming was going to kill us all.
The support of my readers through the years has given me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Four years ago, just before the 2020 election I wrote that Joe Biden's mental health was suspect. Only in this year has the propaganda mainstream media decided to recognize that basic fact.
Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Even today NASA and Congress refuse to recognize this reality.
In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.

Hmmm, sunspots anyone?, these same idiots that are forecasting total calamity from global warming are the same idiots that were forecasting total calamity from the impending ice age, they simply do not have a clue, trying to calculate the future climate from some tree rings and 150 years worth of actual temperature data is insane!
Sun activity indeed! For those interested in learning about how the sun influences our weather and earthquakes check out this Youtube link http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHSoxioQtwZcJj_9clLz7Bggso7qg2PDj
If mainstream science is so concerned about CO2, then perhaps we should stop deforestation of the planet and start planting more trees?
Then there is this promoted by the French and John Kerry just a couple of weeks ago:
http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/french-foreign-minister-500-days-avoid-climate-chaos_792736.html
It appears to me that there well may be only 500 days left but not before “climate chaos” takes us all out but before the agenda that is climate chaos fails due to the continuing diminishing of the agendas spokes person, B. Obama. That seems much more plausible. Which is not to say that the people on this planet should not always be striving for better technology focused on cleaning up how we produce power and run industry and that the planet itself is in a continuing and general warming trend which in time will change into a cooling trend.
Next problem for Al Gore and the IPCC. How does human activity affect volcanic activity on the planet and more importantly, how do we turn them off?

I will assume everyone know’s the answers to both questions……….right?
