The competition heats up: Orbital ATK is developing a new mid-sized rocket designed to compete with ULA and SpaceX in launching Air Force military satellites.

It appears that they are going to use the contract the Air Force awarded them this week to build a new solid rocket engine to help finance this new rocket.
