Readers! A November fund-raising drive!

It is unfortunately time for another November fund-raising campaign to support my work here at Behind the Black. I really dislike doing these, but 2025 is so far turning out to be a very poor year for donations and subscriptions, the worst since 2020. I very much need your support for this webpage to survive.

And I think I provide real value. Fifteen years ago I said SLS was garbage and should be cancelled. Almost a decade ago I said Orion was a lie and a bad idea. As early as 1998, long before almost anyone else, I predicted in my first book, Genesis: The Story of Apollo 8, that private enterprise and freedom would conquer the solar system, not government. Very early in the COVID panic and continuing throughout I noted that every policy put forth by the government (masks, social distancing, lockdowns, jab mandates) was wrong, misguided, and did more harm than good. In planetary science, while everyone else in the media still thinks Mars has no water, I have been reporting the real results from the orbiters now for more than five years, that Mars is in fact a planet largely covered with ice.

I could continue with numerous other examples. If you want to know what others will discover a decade hence, read what I write here at Behind the Black. And if you read my most recent book, Conscious Choice, you will find out what is going to happen in space in the next century.

This last claim might sound like hubris on my part, but I base it on my overall track record.

So please consider donating or subscribing to Behind the Black, either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. I could really use the support at this time. There are five ways of doing so:

1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.

2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation. Takes about a 10% cut.

3. A Paypal Donation or subscription, which takes about a 15% cut:

4. Donate by check. I get whatever you donate. Make the check payable to Robert Zimmerman and mail it to

You can also support me by buying one of my books, as noted in the boxes interspersed throughout the webpage or shown in the menu above.

The endless and all-compassing terrors of global warming

Want to know what scientists have predicted climate change will do to the Earth? Go to ClimateChangePredictions.org, where they keep a full list of every prediction they can find.

I especially like the category “Having it both ways,” where they list different predictions that insisted on opposite consequences. For example did you know that global warning is going to bring both “less rain” and “more rain”, Other predictions are equally amusing.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon or from any other book seller. If you want an autographed copy the price is $60 for the hardback and $45 for the paperback, plus $8 shipping for each. Go here for purchasing details. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

They missed the latest prediction: a changed economy.
    http://politicaloutcast.com/2015/02/un-official-admits-using-climate-change-change-economy/

“This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the industrial revolution.”

Of course, it is the free-market-capitalism economic-model that has brought the most good to people. This economic system is common in Europe and North America, where the majority of the rich live. Even the poor here are not poor, when compared to people living under other economic systems.

We know that it is free market capitalism that brings prosperity, because from the 1940s to the 1990s, both China and India used the communist, centrally controlled economic model, yet their populations remained mostly poor. Since then, both countries have moved closer to free market capitalism, with immediate and astonishing result. About a billion people, so far, in these two countries have moved out of poverty and into the middle class. This is a movement that happened faster than in Europe or North America.

Unfortunately, free market capitalism puts the power into the hands of We the People rather than They the Rulers, and They are not happy to be so powerless against us. According to They the Rulers, when We the People decide, we decide wrong, such as our choice of light bulbs, soda sizes, or whether to purchase health insurance.

On the other hand, the next ice age is due any millennium, now. Perhaps those super-intelligent Rulers can stop *that* change in climate from coming.

    This may be my favorite:

“327 feet (100 metres) February 11, 2015 by admin Andrew Bolt: I ask you, Robyn, 100 metres in the next century…do you really think that? Robyn Williams: It is possible, yes. The increase of melting that they’ve noticed in Greenland and the amount that we’ve seen from the western part of Antarctica, if those increases of three times the expected rate continue, it will be huge… ”

It took the best part of 8,000 to 10,000 years previously to accomplish 300 feet of sea rise and this guy asserts that 300 plus feet could be the result of the next 100 years? A 300 or so times melting potential over what has been recorded? That would be a melting rate / sea level rise of 3 feet PER YEAR over 100 years? really?

I don’t think that if all of the nuclear weapons that exist on the planet were detonated over the North and South poles that could be accomplished.

  • “They missed the latest prediction…”

If you come across a prediction send it to them. The website is open to tips. And the more the merrier, since the more they post the more obvious it becomes that this whole global warming theory is a fraud.

  • Thanks for the site notice. Bookmarked it.

Oh, it gets even better. Now these pompous idiots are looking into geoengineering, obviously to protect us from ourselves. It is quite apparent the insanity never stops.

Weather predictions according to Nostradamus! Whatever happens it then becomes clear that Nostradamus predicted it.
    They do all have one thing in common;
They only way to prevent the disaster is to destroy the United States’ economy.
Odd how that just happens to be what socialists have been trying to do for the last century…

They seek control by shouting about “morality” and “justice”, which the everyday man connects with from their everyday perspective. They themselves have no morality because they understand 1. That power and control of power is not attained by being moral only appearing to being moral (Obama in this example but extends to this climate agenda) and 2. The road to acquiring power and retaining power is strewn with those everyday men who wrongly thought that by being “more” moral was how power was attained and retained (50 % of the American public in this example)
