Today’s blacklisted Americans: Lawyers who won NY gun rights case in Supreme Court blackballed by their law firm
The witch hunt against conservative lawyers accelerates.
Blacklists are back and the Democrats have got ’em: The two lawyers who recently won a major gun rights victory in the Supreme Court this week, invalidating the “may-issue” gun control laws in leftist states that prevented anyone from obtaining a gun license, have been blackballed by their law firm, Kirkland & Ellis, and forced to resign.
Former Solicitor General Paul Clement and Erin Murphy, a regular Supreme Court litigator, resigned from Kirkland & Ellis and announced they were opening their own shop in Washington, D.C. Clement has been a high-profile litigator of conservative causes since he left the administration of President George W. Bush. In 2011, he argued the Defense of Marriage Act on behalf of Republican lawmakers before the Supreme Court.
That case also caused Clement to resign from the firm King & Spalding following pressure from clients to drop the gay marriage case.
As reported at Politico:
“We were given a stark choice: either withdraw from ongoing representations or withdraw from the firm,” Clement said in a statement. “Anyone who knows us and our views regarding professional responsibility and client loyalty knows there was only one course open to us: We could not abandon ongoing representations just because a client’s position is unpopular in some circles.”
Though Kirkland & Ellis refused to explain its reasons, the timing of this decision — the same day the Supreme Court issued its ruling — strongly suggests it was made because of pressure from other leftist clients. Essentially, the law firm was told that if Clement and Murphy won their case, their leftist clients would blackball it if it didn’t blackball Clement and Murphy.
And like most cowards who kow-tow to tyrants, Kirkland & Ellis kow-towed. They probably told the lawyers this would happen the instant they won their case.
I wish this one story will be the worst we shall see following the spate of Supreme Court decisions this week, but it will be only a pinprick and quickly forgotten in the wave of violence that is coming. Today’s Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade is surely going to lead to far worse, riots, mob actions, and bloodshed against churches, pro-life clinics, conservatives, and all Republicans.
Genocide is coming to America, brought to you by Democrats
It doesn’t matter that this decision didn’t end abortion, merely shifted its regulation to the states. All that matters is that the left did not get its way, and because of that it will mindlessly begin an orgy of violence against all who question it.
Bombings and assassinations are on the menu, and soon. And worse, their evil shall be be minimized or dismissed by our corrupt leftist mainstream press, even as the Biden administration will do all it can to avoid prosecuting the perpetrators.
If you don’t believe take a scan at this small selection of death threats against Clarence Thomas today on Twitter, which has also taken no action against any of these accounts.
Unless decent Americans finally rise up and throw these vicious people out of power, what will next follow will be unimaginably worse, far far worse.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

The best revenge on a former employer is to go elsewhere and do better.
Live better and longer than they do. *Nods.*

Sure hope things stay calm this weekend, but I think I’ll stay out of downtown just in case

Lock & Load…keep the Cameras Rolling…..
Hope these lawyers make big bucks in their new firm!
I saw Maxine Waters inciting riots.
They will destroy democrat controlled cities. No sense in doing that.
“They will destroy democrat controlled cities. No sense in doing that.”
Sure there is, they can blame the destruction on the EVUL Republicans
Help, please.
Does my MA2’s buldge make me look fat? (No open carry here in FL.)
The chance to defend life has been a big theme coming out of this court session.
As the federal and state governments craft gun restrictions, they should be mindful that almost all mass shootings take place in ‘gun free zones’. I highly recomend John R Lott, Jr’s book, Gun Control Myths..
NOT YET, BUT SOON
Not a worldwide threat yet, but we will get it there ;)

Probably about September or October?
Sounds about right.
I’d bet on mid to late October, about two weeks before the election.
In fairness the “may issues” only prevented commoners from getting licenses. Kirkland & Ellis elitists in blue states likely got permits.
Look at this hive of scum and villainy, you can smell the foul swamp stench from here:

Gary H noted: “As the federal and state governments craft gun restrictions, they should be mindful that almost all mass shootings take place in ‘gun free zones’.”
In addition, the pattern has been that the more gun restrictions imposed upon the law abiding, the more mass shootings we get.
If they cant remember the 2nd Amendment then they need a good education without The Communists Manifesto
